If we all agreed to shorten ham sandwich to “hamwich,” how much time and energy would we save ourselves collectively?

I’m talkin time saved AND calories saved per year/decade/millennia

The time we save by cutting one syllable would be cancelled out be the time wasted by snickering about what a damn silly word "hamwich" is.

I like hamwich. I'll be using it from now on. What about a fried chickwich? That saves a whopping two syllables

I think if cheese is added we're talking about at net increase.

"Hamwhich and cheese"

4 syllables.

"Ham and cheese"

3 syllables

5 minutes per minute. We would travel backwards in time if we all started calling calling them hamwiches
