With all these food recalls in the US, I've been trying to grow more of my own foods. What is the best way to prepare soil to grow ground beef, and are there seeds for it for sale?
Need meats as soon as possible. I'm getting really hungry. A friend is trying to grow hot dogs without much luck. I have a nice patch in the garden reserved for something new. I figure ground beef is the best kind of meat to start with since it's so versatile, and comes from the ground, right? Anyone have any good tips? Where can I buy seeds? Or is it bulbs, roots or something else?

If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, then It's the wrong season to sow ground beef.
You should be planting air beef.
Fortunately, seed dispersal from the wild population of air beefs has just started: to collect the wind-tossed seed, you just need to stand in the middle of a field or vacant lot, chanting "cow, cow, cow" while aiming your butterfly net at anything that looks seedy.
Pro Tip: start the seedlings in a coldhouse, and feed them a moderate amount of Brawndo™, until the secondary cotyledons (the hoof-shaped ones) have formed.

I don't know where you can buy seeds for meat, but whatever you do, don't trust monsanto. A friend of mine bought meat seeds from monsanto, and he got screwed.

If there truly are as many recalls as you claim there are, you should recall how to do it yourself

Beef is grass fed. So grow more grass.
