Sometimes, the hardest part of rescue isn’t getting them off the streets. It’s convincing the world that they’re worth bringing home.

Siri and her brother were victims of backyard breeding. Their stories began on the streets but they deserved to experience a life beyond survival. And while they were fortunate enough to escape the uncertainty of life on the streets, their journey to finding a forever home remains unfinished.

They have quietly watched the months and years pass while the world seems to forget they exist. Imagine being a kitten when you’re rescued and still waiting to be adopted as an adult because it’s easier to be overlooked. My heart aches knowing that their journey hasn’t reached the ending I hoped for. Every year a cat spends waiting to be adopted is a year of their life they can never get back. They found comfort in each other. Now, if only someone could find a place in their heart for them.

They just need one family willing to turn years of waiting into a lifetime of belonging. Two beautiful lives worth every effort it took to save them. Share their faces. Share their stories. Help me reach the people I haven’t been able to reach all this time on my own. Please don’t underestimate the power of sharing this post. Because sometimes, the difference between waiting another year and finally going home is simply being seen.

It took almost a whole courtyard of people working together to get this boy off the street. Catching him was anything but easy.

Simon had been living in a backyard where other cats repeatedly chased, bit, and scratched him. His ears were badly damaged, and he has plenty of scars from those encounters.

He also developed an abscess while living outside. It eventually burst and bled, but thankfully that wound has healed.

We’re now concerned that he may have trouble hearing. He’ll need further examination to find out what’s going on. For now, we don’t have a diagnosis.

Simon is vaccinated and up to date on parasite treatments. He’s staying with us at Khvostyky, our rescue cat café in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

The part we’re happiest about is very simple: he no longer has to defend his sleeping spot.

We’d love his next years to involve a comfortable bed, a quiet home, and someone who looks at those battered ears and sees their lovely boy. ❤️

‎Hi all.. I currently have 5 kittens in my care aside from over 80cats I am feeding everyday. The younger 3 kittens are purely on milk while the other 2 can already eat wet food but still ask for milk everyday.. The cats' weekly expenses alone are around $210, and it gets even higher whenever I have kittens to bottle-feed. I also care for rescued dogs, so my actual weekly expenses are much more than this.

This adorable little girl is suffering from **Wet FIP**, a life-threatening disease. She lives in a village near Quetta, where awareness about FIP and access to proper treatment are extremely limited. Poverty makes her situation even more heartbreaking.
A kind-hearted man found her struggling on the streets. Instead of walking away, he rescued her and took her to a vet to find out what was wrong. The vet confirmed fluid accumulation, and we now fear that this precious little soul may lose her life without urgent treatment.

Hello again! I’m sorry to post again this soon, but I don’t think I posted at the best time of the week and day so it got lost in the algorithm.

Right now I have 4 rescue kittens and have tentatively promised to take in another litter in about 1.5 weeks. The 4 with me now have amazingly managed to collect all the worms, and I’m on poop cleanup constantly 😩 I am spread so thin on financial resources to buy them kitten food and enough clumping litter. A small kitten was found at the harbor in Kallithea, Greece, writhing in pain. I immediately took it to the veterinary clinic of Mr. Dionysis Perdikouris—VetCheck Small Animal Clinic in Kallithea—so that it could receive the necessary care.

An initial examination revealed that her mouth is in very poor condition, with severe gingivitis and a mass—which we hope is a hyperplastic lesion rather than something malignant. 🥺

The little one will need urgent surgery, involving cauterization and tooth extractions. Blood tests have already been performed, and we are awaiting the results to determine the next steps.

Hi! I recently found a cat on the street near Echo Park who seemingly had a broken leg. I took him to an animal hospital for treatment; they ended up surrendering him to a shelter. I went to the shelter today, and they said he has a pelvic fracture and are trying to find an organization to assist with paying for his surgery.

I have an adopter who is willing to take the cat post surgery, but cannot afford to cover the full surgery cost(nor can I). The shelter is planning to euthanize him in the coming days if they cannot find funds to cover his surgery.

Does anyone have any advice for this situation? I've reached out to Rory to the Rescue, Stray Cat Alliance, Friends of Normie, Amazing Small Animal Practice, and the Lange Foundation already.

The shelter said we have 2-3 days before euthanasia. We're currently in the process of trying to procure his xrays from the first animal hospital so we can share with vets.

Pics are from when we first found him and from today(in the shelter). He is so so sweet.

The more time goes on the more hectic things are looking, with winter coming soon, i seriously need to start getting shelters prepared for these cats, in total there are 11 with 2 of those being un neutured where i am, and 8+ down the street all unfixed, ive been dreading even starting on their tnr since thats alot of cats whos cost are going to skyrocket (at all about animals, fixing is $60 per cat)

Then theres winter shelters, though i know a handful of people that makes them, they still cost about 10-20 usd a peace, and to have enough to give to the feeders down the street is another stresser.

With my own grocery and bill costs going up, ive been stuck in a stagnate area monetary wise, so tryna get ahead and get this kitties the help they need before winter hits
