SFW - Public r/LooksmaxingTalk

I’m familiar with looksmaxxing, facial aesthetics, and recreational drug safety and harm reduction. I want to own this sub to keep it a safe place where people can share advice on improving facial features, facial harmony, and overall appearance without being judged. I’d also like to contribute my own advice and help promote drug safety and harm reduction. Overall, I want to keep the community helpful, active, and safe for everyone.

Requesting this sub as the previous users who were granted access ~10 days ago are no longer listed as moderators, leaving the sub closed for over a week.

SFW - Public r/documentaryfilms

Hello, I'd like to volunteer as a moderator for r/DocumentaryFilms.

I'm interested in documentaries and would love to help keep this community active, welcoming, and focused on sharing and discussing documentary films. I think a subreddit like this is a great place for people to discover films they might otherwise miss, explore different subjects, and have thoughtful discussions.

I'd be happy to help with day-to-day moderation, reviewing posts, enforcing subreddit rules fairly, and keeping spam and unrelated content under control. I'm also willing to learn the existing moderation tools and procedures and work with any other moderators to keep the community running smoothly.

Thank you for considering my application. I'd be glad to help out

Hi, I have been a fan of NEEDTOBREATHE since 2009 and active in the sub for 6-7 years. (Got locked out of my first reddit account.) Would love to help keep it a safe place for fans to chat!

Sidebar

The current review time for requests is 3 days. (Updated 21 October)

Please note that the current review time is only an estimate and may take longer or shorter than what is shown above.

To request a community, submit a post by linking to the community in question.

How to request a community

Submit a post by linking to the community you want to moderate.
Make sure your post follows the required post format (see below).
Read all rules and requirements below before posting.

Posting requirements

The title of your post must only contain the name of the community you are requesting (e.g., r/redditrequest).
You must apply the appropriate flair to your post before submitting. Posts without flair will be removed.

Requirements for requesters

Your account must be at least 90 days old
Have at least 100 comment karma and 100 post karma
Your account must also have a verified email address and two-factor authentication enabled to ensure the safety of your account.

Before posting your request:

You must send a message to the current moderators of the community at least 5 days before posting your request to give the current moderators a chance to respond or add you to their team. If you have been perma-muted, you will be unable to complete this step and you should make note of this when replying to the request_bot.

After posting:

u/request_bot will respond to every request, but sometimes a request will be missed by the bot. If there is no message after a couple of days, it has automatically been moved to manual review.
Please do not delete your request if there is no comment from the bot, deleted posts can’t be processed.
Be sure to respond to the bot comment with reasons for wanting to moderate and include a permalink to your chat message in your post.
If you have been perma-muted from the sub and are unable to send a message, please include that information in your reply to the request_bot. This only applies to perma-mutes. If you have been muted, you will need to wait until the mute expires to make your request.
When a request is made, an automatic message will be sent to the moderators of that community asking them to respond to the request.

Information for moderators

If your community is being requested:

You will receive a mod mail and private message from u/request_bot.
You should have received a chat message from the requester asking to be added to your team.
You must respond within 5 days (in the request comments or to the requester’s chat message). Failure to respond may result in the community being transferred.

If you would like to keep the community:

You must provide a valid reason in your reply about why you wish to continue moderating. We want to ensure that communities are being held onto with the right intentions for growth. Responding to requests will also decrease the number of people who believe it is unmoderated.

If you would like to add the requester to your mod team you can find instructions on how to do that here.

Top mod inactivity

If your community has an inactive top moderator who is not active site-wide, create a post here requesting their removal. If they are considered inactive, u/request_bot may remove them automatically. If the bot doesn’t remove them, please follow the Top Mod Removal process.

Banned subreddit

If you’re the moderator of a community that was banned and would like to appeal that ban, please reach out to r/modsupport mod mail.

Request rules

You may only request one community every 15 days. Multiple requests will be auto removed. This includes if you delete your request.
Communities that have been banned in the last 30 days, are not eligible for request and will be denied. To see when a community was banned, view it on old Reddit. If a community has been banned for violating content, it will not be eligible for request.
You may not use multiple accounts to request communities. This will result in a ban from r/redditrequest.
You may not request communities on behalf of other users.
Before requesting a community, you must send a message to the community and give them 5 days to respond before requesting.
The exact criteria used in evaluating requests is left to admin discretion. More info can be found in our FAQ.
Please do not ask for an exemption from the rules.
Requests can take up to 1 week to be reviewed, so please be patient.

Additional information may be found in the FAQ and our Help Center
