Fuck ofcom and its delusional bureaucratic Vogons. Fuck the totalitarian censorship of the net. Fuck UK policies in the last decade.

Any Government that blocks or attempts to block Free Speech is a Tyranny...

Gotta use “someone please think of the children” card to fuck up privacy.

They had no problem letting the Kids get raped in the UK and tried to block several inquiries...
Just think about that..

The government didn't care, the people (well not some) cared.

So never let them use the line "Protecting Kids" as we all know its a bare faced lie

Your president is credibly accused of being a nonce as well as a proven rapist; further still, a majority of your voters elected him whilst knowing this…

Team Ofcom: World Police. All bark and no bite as predicted. How much money have they wasted on this.

Ofcom wants to ban everything at some point it will be banned to go on instagram or facebook jeez even Europe has more freedom than Uk

Whoa whoa whoa there. They don't want to ban everything. Despite many thousands of attempts to ask them to do their job they refused to investigate UK rightwing new shows platforming hate until they were sued into taking action and finally doing their job. So you see there are things, albeit terrible fucking things, they don't want to have banned at all! /s

And here he is, the left wing subversive wanting to censor the right.
Why the fuck you people come onto a privacy sub celebrating 4 chan not getting banned is beyond me.
"They said muh hobaphobe slur."
What and 4Chan doesn't.

ah so the UK finally realises the internet is international and they can't control what other countries do.

Say what you will about US, but there's exactly 0 chance this would have same outcome in any place in Europe.

Pretty much a nothing burger. This was already the expected outcome when they set the fines at the start of the year. Now they’ll just make UK internet providers block the site if they haven’t already

👏👏👏👏👏 Freedom for the win. The UK and their dystopian nonsense can go f* themselves.
The audacity to think they have any right to dictate what we Americans, let alone any foreign nation for that matter, can or cannot say.
They seem to need an education lesson in history and geography 🇺🇸❤️🙌

They may also seek to block 4chan. My client has already priced that in and it is a price worth paying, as this will constitute the UK censoring its own people and ISPs, rather than censoring my client. The UK has the sovereign right to do that. My client has the constitutional right to decline to assist the UK in that terrible work.
The UK thus continues its authoritarian backsliding. Sorting out their own country is, ultimately, a matter for the British, and opposing the grant of new powers for Ofcom – an agency which was held off by a pair of American solos working for free – on domestic policy grounds is a task for the growing UK free speech movement to take up, with urgency.
I wish them luck in that important work.
Cheers, gonna need all the luck the UK can get to fix this mess. I'm half expecting them to pull a Navalny and invent a reason for Zach Polansky to be jailed or censored in order to kneecap the Green party (it'll probably be for liking the wrong tweet at 3am when he's dead tired but we'll see). The current leadership haven't spent most of the last two decades undermining their political enemies, including those in their own party, just to lose power now. They want all the lobby money they can get and to serve foreign interests before serving this increasingly foodbank reliant nation of hungry Britons.
