Turns out, their contributions are toxic to candidates.

Excellent.

•

u/veggeble South Carolina 1h ago

And toxic to Israel’s reputation. Which reminds me, fuck Israel.

•

u/bigmike2k3 1h ago

And Fuck Israel to you!

•

It just means they found other ways to launder the money

•

u/KnightDuty 54m ago

I write for several progressive candidates and we repeated at every opportunity "as a rule we reject AIPAC". It does really good. So, yup.

*publicly

•

u/Hoz999 1h ago

They still have to disclose any contributions otherwise it’s a crime.

•

u/EndsWithJusSayin 1h ago

Who's going to carry out the punishment? This administration has already shown if there's an R next to your name and you get on your knees for Trump then you're immune to any consequences.

Lots of legal ways to get around that with PACs/Super PACs. " I didn't endorse Mr. X for senator, I just funded a Super PAC that ran an aggressive ad campaign saying Mr. Y is bad for state Z!"

•

u/lettersvsnumbers 1h ago

That’s the whole point of SuperPACs and shell companies.

When rich people do it, it’s free speech.

•

u/WhatsRatingsPrecious 1h ago

Oh, you dear summer child.

•

I’m sure people who gleefully support an ongoing genocide would never break the law, and if they did surely all the politicians they bought off will be there to hold them accountable.

•

u/MelatoninFiend 1h ago

Yeah right.

They're totally suspending endorsements and donations and definitely not just funneling their donations through a few more shell PACs so they're harder to track.

End Citizens United.

•

u/KnightDuty 31m ago

Well once they realize they're wasting their money and they're going to lose regardless, they don't want to keep losing.

Suddenly the new super pac An.Impressive.Policy.Advancement.Corp has spent millions toward pro Israel politicians

•

u/HavingNotAttained 1h ago

“How do you do, fellow humanitarians?”

•

u/colobo970 1h ago

Duplicitous pricks found out another chanel aye?

•

u/MelatoninFiend 1h ago

Why donate to PACs when you could just buy billions of dollars worth of an overnight pump-and-dump cryptocurrency, and get the money directly into the pockets you wish to fill?

•

u/stammerton 1h ago

Advance notice of any moves on the stock market perhaps? Oh wait, that’s Trump’s MO.

•

u/ElectrSheep 1h ago

❌ Stop doing genocide

✅ Stop doing endorsements

Looking at who is taking Israeli money to help support Israel's genocidal ethnostate really helps to make good, informed, voting choices.

•

u/Bittererr 51m ago

AIPAC is American money.

Doesn't mean it's a good thing but I'm tired of people covering for the rich Americans who actually fund AIPAC by pretending it's all foreign money.

Turns out the class war is the only real war after all and the latest line of attack from billionaires is to point overseas when they're the ones writing the checks.

•

u/EldritchSlut Indiana 45m ago

American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying organization founded in 1954 that advocates for policies supporting the U.S. - Israel relationship

You can use semantics as cover but we all know what's going on here.

•

u/Bittererr 41m ago

Yes, it's an organization of Americans who donate their money to causes that support Israel.

When you claim it's foreign money you're just going to bat for billionaires.

•

u/EldritchSlut Indiana 33m ago

You're right, American citizens are the middle men between Israel and US politician donations. You can be against billionaires and genocidal nationals at the same time too.

AIPAC is American.

•

u/Kenneth-J-Moyers 1h ago

They never halt dark money funding though, they just start working through front organizations.

•

u/Rho-Ophiuchi 11m ago

How will Fetterman survive?

•

u/afro-deezy-yac 9m ago

No disrespect to any Jewish people around the world. But the Israeli Government has gone full murder-hobo.

•

u/WhatsRatingsPrecious 1h ago

Now they're going to go pure dark money donations.

Their endorsement is the kiss of death these days.

•

u/Cama_lama_dingdong 1h ago

Sure, Jan.

They're too busy trying to ban biology and life-science textbooks that note male seahorses can give birth, and trying to get people to believe that classrooms have litterboxes so students can watch catgirls poop.

•

u/ThonThaddeo Oregon 59m ago

Well shit, i forgot that was a real group. I was just referencing those front groups aipac uses sometimes.

•

u/Carochio 59m ago

Good.

Save America from Israel

•

u/imanchats 1h ago

False flag operation

•

u/level_one_bulbasaur 1h ago

Oh so they’ve successfully laundered all that money through pacs and shell corporations now

•

u/JMurdock77 1h ago

Probably doing the “small donation” route, Walter White style.

•

u/ThenOwl9 55m ago

that's an enormous win

•

u/naththegrath10 54m ago

They will just do what they were doing in Dem primaries. Start up a bunch of shady other PACs with harmless sounding names and funnel it through them

•

u/TheseBrokenWingsTake 55m ago

Now Israel is making its own ads directly in some states!

•

u/PigOfLard 33m ago

AIPAC is American and funded with American Money.
