Is this supposed to be a threat? Like does he think voters are gonna be like “I was gonna vote Democrat in the midterms but I don’t want him to investigate Biden.”

[u/tape_snake → u/Im_TroyMcClure]

Also, if he had something solid to investigate these people over, why wouldn't he just do it anyway? He's villainized these people non-stop for a decade now and sells to his base the idea of rooting out their corruption... but now that he has the power to do it, the investigations will only happen in retribution?

Trump is using the federal justice system like a weapon (oh, look, "Lawfare"!), and if his base could do surface-level critical thinking for the five seconds it would take to see it, they'd be very upset.

You're talking about a group of people that includes those who think Tommy Tuberville is the right guy for the US Senate. Five seconds of critical thought might literally cause an aneurysm.

Hey Tommy could name all three branches of government if you asked:

• Offense
• Defense
• Special Teams.

[u/rabidstoat → u/TaterForming]

• President
• President
• President

[u/the2belo → u/rabidstoat]

• Niña
• Pinta
• Santa Maria

Offense
Defense
Quarterback

He doesn’t have anything on them. If he did, he would have used it a long time ago. He could try to manufacture something, like what he’s doing to Ilhan Omar right now.

[u/tape_snake → u/alwayzstoned]

Oh, I'm fully aware that he's just posturing, but I felt that it was important to highlight how utterly stupid the whole situation is even if you did take him at his word. The man lies like he breathes and projects more than every AMC theater combined.

[u/Alert-Ad-9908 → u/tape_snake]

Just here to say how much I enjoy all the creative idioms we’ve all been forced to come up with in an attempt to convey his level of extreme (insert any words).

[u/Apprehensive-Pin518 → u/tape_snake]

the difference is that he thinks that these investigations are a threat to them like they would be to him.

[u/rayban_yoda → u/tape_snake]

So wouldn’t his base want him to be impeached so he will then prosecute these other presidents?
