Not to let the Democrats off the hook but it’s a lot harder to campaign on:

“Public Policy can be highly beneficial to your life and here is my dry & detailed plan to enact the following changes”.

versus

“They’re coming for you! Transgenders, immigrants, Socialists/Communists/Marxists, Obama, AOC, Pelosi, George Soros, they’re gonna castrate your kids! They’re coming for you! Government sucks - elect us and we’ll prove it! They’re eating the dogs!“

Their base (save for the mega wealthy elites) is - demographically speaking - much dumber & less educated to begin with so the above psychotic fear mongering is highly effective. Think of the people who see & hear Tommy Tuberville and think “yeah he should be my Senator.”

Youre not wrong, but theres got to be people smarter than me who can find a way to make that message resonate. The problem is it seems they all work for republicans.
