You know who else had state-run media? The Nazis.

North Koreans have it too, the likeliest model the US government will use. Dear Leader Trump needs to be given his daily tongue bath by his unworthy supplicants while they denounce the evils of Europe and Canada.

Also UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Portugal, Japan, South Korea, India, Singapore, Iran, North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, and probably more.

And before anyone screams "actually they're corporations" or something, yeah many or most are, but are often owned and funded by government. Also, to flip it, if Trump TV turns out to be privately owned by Trump rather than the state, will that make it unproblematic?

State-funded media ≠ State-run media.

Yeah we have it too, it's called PBS. I think you're confused.

So do the Americans now, I'd name the party at fault but considering so many didn't vote they did it to themselves. 🙄

10 years ago we used to mock North Korea endlessly for their fake propaganda news.
