But it begs the question – will this piss Fox News off? They make shit tons of money reporting to right wingers. Will state sponsored TV cut into their profits enough to make them turn on Trump?

Or will state sponsored TV be good enough for the Murdochs that they won’t care?

It seems like at some point, Trump‘s interest will no longer align with a wealthy oligarchs who enabled him.

But then again, it seems like every time he steps in shit, it somehow just doesn’t fucking matter.

Ugh. This is exhausting.

The Russians and North Koreans have the same thing.

Welcome to total authoritarianism.

Imagine if we got a temporary babyface turn from Fox News. Boomers are creatures of habit if Fox went back to neo conservativism, they could really hurt Trump. Old ass GOPers aren't seeking out Trump TV.

Fox News joined the boycott.

If you haven't already noticed the pattern: no-one is safe. Doesn't matter how rich you are and how much you suck up to him. You can appease him for 5 minutes and the next day he can decide it's not enough and demand more.

My guess is it'll cut into their advertising revenue about as much as OANN does. It'll almost certainly be a subscription model, so the viewership will be pretty niche -- a very small subset of the folks that watch Fox News, which is available with any cable subscription. I honestly don't see it being a standard part of any cable package, because there's not enough money or grifting in that. Fox may view it as a sort of "companion channel," in a sense, in that they're focused on the same kinds of goals, but aside from Trump no longer needing to call in to Fox & Friends, I don't think it'll be any kind of real competition.

I expect some Fox news people to join the new TV channel.

This was the plan all along, the trap was set and they were just waiting on the opportunity to move forward.

With the rigged elections coming up, they are preparing themselves to completely ignore any results and declare martial law.
