So, now the master plan comes into focus. Trump TV will report only the narrative that they want reported, presented as "facts." Anyone who could present an argument to the contrary has already been kicked off the premises.

Maybe this is why Fox went along with the other networks.

The big 5 networks do cover for each other. The other 4 backed Fox once in a somewhat similar situation in the Obama era.

There was never a similar situation in any era.

I wouldn’t really call the situation from the Obama era even remotely similar. That one back then was about blocking Fox from one specific press interview and it was largely because Fox is well known and documented ti lie and produce yellow journalism. They can’t even officially classify as news but as an entertainment network

It wasn’t even “Fox” wasn’t it just a single interviewer?

The U.S. doesn't have an official classification for news, that's just not something that exists.

In 2020 fox won a court case against slander charges with the argument that "no reasonable person consider tucker carlson as news, he's entertainment ". I think that's what he is referring. News is held to different first amendment standards in this context.

Close, but not quite. The Carlson court case wasn't about considering something as news. He was an opinion program, not a news broadcast.

Because he was an opinion show, the case was determining whether a statement he made on his broadcast would reasonably be considered a statement of fact or instead hyperbole for entertainment.

MSNBC had a similar case with the exact same defense and outcome for Rachel Maddow's show.

Sure, but it's a goddamn youtube stream, the number of people watching it right now (around 4K) is the most it'll ever get. if this is their best idea for disseminating propaganda then holy shit they are truly incompetent.

If you look at the Iranian operation, do they seem competent to you?

Trump TV will report only the narrative that they want reported, presented as "facts."

That's all that got reported when the press corp was around him. I'm not saying the press weren't doing their job, but they were asking Trump or his lackeys questions. The only answers were "the narrative they want reported".

And that narrative getting reported doesn't change because of this. Actual news will continue to point out his lies.

That doesn't change this being terrible and a blatant violation of the First Amendment (by blocking news sources access based on their speech). But this "master plan" accomplishes almost nothing accept making Trump look bad to anyone who isn't already MAGA. No one but them will watch "Trump TV". It is meaningless.

If we still could have asked Goebbels he would confirm this as a strategy which works out perfectly.

And the comments section is turned off??!! No feedback no response to his lies and BS AND NO FACT CHECKS!

You mean they'll just broadcast President Trump's words instead of having a third party impose their feelings and deluded nonsense disguised as a news story? 🥸🥸

The polling on "is Trump a liar?" is over 80% saying yes. But if you want to be brainwashed by the propaganda machine, go right ahead
