Yes. But also it's the ones who claim to have the strong moral stances and principles who are believing the nonsense most fervently

So it also seems to be that if someone stand for something strongly enough, they'll fall for anything that supports that, no matter how ridiculous

Anyone who can come to the conversation with a fact based in consensus reality is free to participate.

A one-sided conversation might indicate a cultural bubble. It might also mean that one "side" has nothing true to say, and would rather play the victim card than adjust their views.
