No Paywall Joe Rogan Calls Trump Fans 'F**king Nuts' And Says He's Been 'Left-Wing My Whole Life'

The "I was never a trump supporter, those people are crazy" white washing is already happening and Trump hasn't even left office yet lmao. Joe is just afraid of his revenue stream drying up, he's the same old right wing rich dude as he was when he started the podcast.

u/mostdope28 Sep 18 '26

He does know he’s recorded everything he’s ever said the last 10 years right

85

u/csoups Sep 18 '26

They literally don’t care. For them, support of any political movement is valid because they’re not falling back on fundamental beliefs; it’s all vibes. And because they’re disconnected from the reality of the situation, their beliefs are malleable in ways that don’t make sense to people connected to reality. In the same way that people who mainline Fox News spout off a bunch of drivel that has no real connection to what’s actually happening. This is why MAGA seems like a cult, being a member fundamentally means a belief in a different reality.

If you bring up his past support for Trump, Joe will just say he supported him partially at the time but eventually he stopped, and his support was always tepid. He’ll claim he aligns more with Bernie even though Bernie and Trump couldn’t be further from each other politically. It makes no fundamental sense but that’s kind of the point.

This is why Trump won’t be the end of this mess. There will be a small subset of Trump supporters who see Trump’s betrayal and treason for what it is. The majority will be more than willing to be led down the same path again.

3

u/Mind-The-Mines Sep 18 '26

It's easy to be stupid and believe a lot of conflicting info because you understand none of it.

2

u/Michael_G_Bordin Sep 18 '26

Even those who "see the betrayal and treason" will be more concerned he didn't "MAGA" than with the fact they voted for a fucking stupidass conman three fucking times. Without wrestling with their own stupidity, they're just gonna fall for the next one. I'm over pretending there's any decency in being nice to these fuckheads. Stupid is as stupid does, and holy fuck how could you vote for Trump three fucking times. The first time was already abysmally stupid. Second time was fucked. Third time? Dumbest thing anyone has ever did.

1

u/justpornaccount1 Sep 19 '26

the majority dont see it as betrayal. they just wanted their team to win. world war three or not. they do not care about diesel prices, grocery prices or trump raping kids.

they just dont care.

their guy won.

they are happy.

6

u/jaymef Sep 18 '26

Since when does that matter. Trump will literally say something on camera yesterday then flat out deny it the next day and nobody bats an eye

3

u/FlirtyFluffyFox Sep 18 '26

Right wing types operate entirely on vibes. It doesn't matter if it's an endorsement or law. It's all about how it makes them feel in the moment because their feelings are more important than your freedoms.

2

u/Barneyk Sep 18 '26

His fans can't even remember his position week to week...

1

u/sixwax Sep 18 '26

It's ok, his listeners have the memory (and intellect) of goldfish.

1

u/Delicious_Toad Sep 19 '26

I think he's confident that Rogan fans don't have the sharpest memories.

21

He said he was done with it. Then Joe says this and now he’s probably thinking fuucckkkk

11

u/Fastr77 Sep 18 '26

Nah i'm sure he's actually done BUT.. wish he wasn't because CMON

9

u/Financial_You_6052 Sep 18 '26

I think it takes a special kind of lunatic to stay focused on these dipshits for that long, without taking heavy mental damage themselves.

Case in point Mr Dan Friesen of the Knowledge Fight podcast, kept laser focus on Alex Jones and Infowars until both entities exploded in a truck. 1138 episodes, no damage. Absolute lunatic.

1

u/Fastr77 Sep 18 '26

Holy shit 1138 episodes.. There is definitely a point where its just screaming into the wind

2

u/Financial_You_6052 Sep 18 '26

It certainly could have gone that way, but he was so academic in his research and criticism that he was able to play a small part in the lawsuits that eventually took down Infowars.

1

u/Fredidiah Sep 18 '26

I suspect he moves on to different, but related topics. I kinda hope he keeps covering different things with his style.

5

u/BrianDetomes Sep 18 '26

Joe is only saying this cos he also watched it

1

u/justpornaccount1 Sep 19 '26

a bunch of people that know joes phone number texted him when the video came out, no doubt. whats joe gonna do? ignore it??

6

u/megaraba Sep 18 '26

This is exactly what he's doing rn

1

I knew his ass was gonna crash out from the new video, I just didn’t think the identity crisis would come so soon 😂

did joe ever get to the "important people" dinners or was he stuck in the "useful idiot" lunches ?

2

It's crazy that that's actually real!!

98

u/SanctionedBaffoonery Sep 18 '26

For anyone who doesn't get the reference: The Elephant Graveyard on YouTube.

74

u/DoktorStrangelove Sep 18 '26

Yeah I honestly think any headlines we see over the next couple weeks about Joe suddenly acting weird and flip flopping on politics or his billionaire friends is more about a behind-the-scenes meltdown related to that YT channel than anything else.

25

u/Fake_Diesel Sep 18 '26

Exactly what I was thinking

4

u/wilkil Oregon Sep 18 '26

I’m ootl, what is happening behind the scenes?

15

u/TeenyTinyHat Sep 18 '26

Those videos did a just genuinely devastating takedown of Rogan and his whole circle while also being extremely funny.  Comedians noticed it and started taking about it a lot.  Rogan saw them and they definitely got to him.  The most recent one came out a week ago.

6

u/jopepa Sep 18 '26

This anonymous YouTuber has some history in the comedy scene and took the Rogan sphere to task. They’re long documentaries but super entertaining especially if you’re a comedy fan. Adds a lot of context to the culture wars undercurrent in mainstream comedy over the last 10 years. The one people are talking about in this thread just came out last week but if you don’t want to binge Elephant Graveyards channel, just watch Comedy Czar , Comedy Jonestown , and the new one Comedy Cataclysm

33

u/PaulSandwich Florida Sep 18 '26

I love that this guy called Joe out in the latest one for watching his videos and talking about them but not watching his best friend's comedy special.

2

u/TobyFunkeNeverNude Florida Sep 18 '26

He deserves even less, because he was making reference to how Joe could be manipulated by bad actors, which to me implies a higher level of awareness. Fuck him even harder

3

u/justpornaccount1 Sep 19 '26

duncan thinks hes joes friend but joe doesnt have friends. so its not his friends special. also joe didnt watch his cartoon hahaha

8

u/whiskydyc Sep 18 '26

Went absolute scorched-earth on his dumb, Epstein-adjacent ass.

8

u/OnceMoreAndAgain Sep 18 '26

"for anyone who doesn't get the reference, here is a 1hr23min video"

that's some chaotic good behavior

6

u/CatsnotpillsCoaching Sep 18 '26

Technically there's two more of them too for full context lmao

5

u/ReverseCarry Sep 18 '26

It’s literally worth every minute, all of his video essays are absolute bangers, but especially his ones on Joe

5

u/CatsnotpillsCoaching Sep 18 '26

The Joe Rogan trilogy is honestly a masterpiece and I don't use that term lightly here

3

u/Serendipidous-start Sep 18 '26

It is insane to me that the new video, went it was 6 days old, got almost as many views (4.4 million) as the previous one a year ago (4.6 million). Unsure of if it will go higher since it really slowed down the last day or so. Basically the algorithm served an 80 min video to the entire intended audience immediately which gets me thankin.

1

u/justpornaccount1 Sep 19 '26

one of the previous joe videos got taken down. so it lost a lot of views before it was reuploaded.

1

u/Serendipidous-start Sep 19 '26

Ah that's a bit more reassuring. I was worried that it was a case of the algorithm basically serving it to the choir and then no other, making it look popular but no one who needed to actually see it actually seeing it.

-1

u/appoplecticskeptic Kansas Sep 18 '26

Holy shit that guy likes to ramble! So no I still don’t know what the hell this was referencing because the guy could not be bothered to fucking edit his own video down to something sensible. So I noped out after a few minutes. Obviously there was some other video where the guy made fun of Rogan but I never heard “walled garden” mentioned and I got sick of waiting for him to get to the point.

2

u/cheekydav Sep 19 '26

That’s the point friend. We expect and feel owed shorter information blips because we are used to it. Also you literally rambled on.

1

u/appoplecticskeptic Kansas Sep 19 '26

I can be succinct, this dude can’t.

2

u/justpornaccount1 Sep 19 '26

the intro was long, but the point eventually gets gotten to. its a long video but theres parts that make me laugh out loud. and thats rare in this day and age when movies suck, comedy sucks and mtv just plays youtube clips.

6

u/10lbsDan Sep 18 '26

If he started thankin' he'd know he needs to get the hell out of there and become a new guy before it's too late.

3

u/PMMeAGiftCard Sep 18 '26

Really gets you thankin

3

1

1

u/Chili_Paste Sep 18 '26

It's really got me thankin hard lately.

76

u/matthieuC Europe Sep 18 '26

First time?

You couldn't find a republican who had voted for W Bush in 2006.

27

u/Obaddies Sep 18 '26

No I remember that too. I just don't remember it happening while he was still in office.

4

u/Raoul_Duke9 Sep 18 '26

Definitely started happening in about 05. "I was always against the war" became the American mantra

3

u/Darkpumpkin211 Colorado Sep 18 '26

I would tell trump voters i interact with "Can't wait until you pretend you never liked him, like how you guys pretend you never liked Bush"

3

u/verrius Sep 18 '26

It was slightly harder to throw quick Youtube clips of them endorsing the fucker right back in their faces though, since Youtube had barely been created.

0

u/10lbsDan Sep 18 '26 edited Sep 18 '26

Technically this is correct because nobody voted for George W in 2006... but I get your point.

2

u/matthieuC Europe Sep 18 '26

My wording is indeed confusing

-2

u/10lbsDan Sep 18 '26

Just needs to be 2004 thats all. :)

7

u/pixlplayer Sep 18 '26

They were saying in the year 2006 you couldn’t find anyone that would admit to voting for George W in the 2004 election

6

u/entityXD32 Sep 18 '26

I wonder how many Germans were never Nazi supporters when the war ended

4

u/NocturnaIAnimaI Sep 18 '26

He literally fucking endorsed him wtf is this

5

u/fordat1 Sep 18 '26

Aaron Rodgers for example who talking about "you voted" when referencing Trump supporters recently instead of "we voted"

4

u/Dry_Departure_7813 Sep 18 '26

If you look at his list of guests, hes basically just been interviewing maga chodes and republicans for a couple years now. Theres a handful of other guests on there, but its nearly always maga chodes and conmen.

1

u/Obaddies Sep 18 '26

Certainly. Anyone who says Joe is fair and balanced is just as dumb as Joe is.

12

u/VidE27 Sep 18 '26

He’s a populist, or in another words; wherever the wind blows

1

u/BrianDetomes Sep 18 '26

Naw... He is making the wind blow the way of maga cos its beneficial to him personally

Whoopsie

5

u/Aggressive_Noise6426 Sep 18 '26

Please someone make a compilation of him being a Trump supporter.

3

Basically just "The Know Rogan Experience"

4

u/Annual-Reason2970 Sep 18 '26

rats jumping ship

4

u/F4ulty0n3 Sep 18 '26

Elephant Graveyard. Go watch his videos if you haven't. They are currently dissolving the Joe Rogan universe.

3

u/Obaddies Sep 18 '26

I have. Their most recent one should win a Emmy or something. I also really enjoy "The Know Rogan Experience" for a thorough break down of just how full of shit Rogan is.

3

u/ProletariatLiteracy Sep 18 '26

"One day, everyone will have always been against this."

2

u/Word_Eater_OmNomNom Sep 18 '26

Yeah had Lindsay Graham not died before Trump left office then this is the move he would have made too. He would have done a "well he was off and I was just there to be the adult in the room."

Graham died before he could whitewash his legacy of sycophancy. Rogan is trying to get a head start on that revisionism.

2

u/Aliensinmypants Sep 18 '26

We need an Aldo raine type figure marking everyone who was out and proud maga who try to take off their red hats after

2

u/porn_sub_lurker Sep 18 '26

One day everyone will have always been against it

2

u/HiImDIZZ Sep 18 '26

It's gonna happen more and more. It needs to happen, but it's also infuriating to watch these piece of shit traitors just flip a switch.

2

u/atrich Washington Sep 18 '26

One day they will all have always been against this

2

u/diazeriksen07 Sep 18 '26

His revenue stream is safe. Spotify paid him a quarter billion dollars for his podcast.

Meanwhile, actual musicians make about 1/3 of one penny per stream.

2

u/Busy-Ratchet-8521 Sep 18 '26

He said in the video that he helped Trump get in office, and he talks about why. Don't believe this clickbait nonsense.

3

u/Obaddies Sep 18 '26

Yeah and they laughed it off. They're soft launching the denial of trump. Just look at how Tucker morphed from a war hawk cheering on the Iraq war to someone who thinks it was a mistake and a fraud.

1

u/rajinis_bodyguard United Kingdom Sep 18 '26

Neither right wing not left wing but an opportunist and grifter

1

u/TorsoOfGummiBears Sep 18 '26

I don’t like what Joe has become, but at least back in the beginning of his podcast before the Spotify deal there  was a different type of interview style that he was doing pretty good at. But then he got bought to be just a mouthpiece for one side for a while.

1

u/Responsible-Gas5319 Sep 18 '26

Just a friendly reminder that Richard Nixon won by one of the largest margins ever but nowadays you can't find one person who voted for him. That'll be trump voters in a few years

1

u/BloodbendmeSenpai Sep 18 '26

Hes not scared of revenue drying up, he's scared to be wrong. He scared his pride will be hit. He's scared no one will listen to him. He's basically scared ppl are going to realize what a narcissist he is.

1

u/Obaddies Sep 18 '26

If he was scared to be wrong he wouldn't say half the shit he says on his show. How is he going to make money if people aren't tuning in? He wants to keep his comfortable lifestyle, he doesn't give a flying fuck about being right. He only keeps his "fact-checker" around because it convinces idiots that Joe knows his stuff when the fact checker doesn't chime in after Joe makes a claim.

1

u/_Magnolia_Fan_ Sep 18 '26

I know it's hard, but we need to act like chatGPT with these people and admire their insight to be able to come to that conclusion.

Yes, it's late. But better late than never. Don't chase them back to the other side. And don't let them sit at home during the next election.

Every one of these people still gets to vote. Don't let your own pride get in the way of encouraging their continued cognitive development.

1

u/hudson27 Sep 18 '26

His revenue streams have most certainly already dried up

1

u/Own_Laugh_5080 Sep 19 '26 edited Sep 19 '26

He went to my hometown, which was already on its last legs as the most beaten to death horse of cities and made it worse.

This single ply toilet paper skinned neckless king of contrarianism was so totally oppressed in…checksnotes Los Angeles. Because liking anything mainstream is for pussies, Joe bravely moved to the most unmainstream place ever, a city which fibers are so unlike LA in every way possible, Austin Texas circa 2020.

No one has ever moved from LA to Austin before. No one’s ever moved their Californian business to Austin to enjoy the joyless fields of tax freedom until you came, cowboy. We all love to see you showing off your brand new cowboy hat and your cool jeans all tucked up into your boots as you hop into your King Ranch Ford Superduty swing by Mendocino Farms, breaking the mold over here.

True comedy.

E: A clearly with it person sent me a really sweet glue glittered DM which contains only:

‘copium’

Thank you. Points for not eating the glue! Thank you for that reddit cares report as well. Truly a novel burn.

But girl. I am so jealouse*. You got me! I mean, I am desperate to get in with you cool guys. The club. The new Austin crew. I’m reading the fine print here. Hm. Membership requires wearing smart glasses to Barton Springs while you leer at all the bare bewbage. My high school newspaper teacher loved roasting his nips at the spring after class. Nice. Duties include paying $50 to see Tony Hinchcliffe beg for his own friends to watch his comedy special. He needs that cash for his bi monthly bulk purchase of frozen meals-for-one. Power membership necessitates installing a neurolink which sends direct signals to your brain that instructs you to interrupt any conversation to drop that you are regularly invited to ‘a talk’ with Peter Tiel. Oh, and the perks: Every Tuesday night is wine and ai pottery class. Bring your own nasal esketamine. Sounds like a nice evening away from the way more fun people going out for Tuesgays.

I want to come back now. I am burning for that access. Why did I ever leave? Who wouldn’t want to come back to their desiccated used up hometown after witnessing this glorious ascent to singularity. Weird that you never really meet anyone who is actually from Austin. Hm. Well whatever. You’re not the kind of person that takes time for deep reflection. Oh but thank you so much for celebrating the elite kinds of guys that bring all the bad parts of LA to Austin and do it worse. You’re the type of person that plays defense for a piss drinking roast turkey that recoils when the fascist pretend time becomes just a little bit too real and I gotta say, that is something to be proud of. I genuinely hope you hold on tight to that sinking ship. We have to have a great Nuremberg turnout for the members only event at the bottom of the ocean. So I say to you…please god, could you sink lower?

1

u/paulibobo Sep 19 '26

As long as it steers even a few in his audience of morons away from voting republican, I'll take it.

1

u/FrankLloydAight Sep 19 '26

Lol you must not listen to his podcast. He's not right wing, never has been

1

u/Obaddies Sep 19 '26

I've listened to far too much of his podcast. He's definitely right wing as are the cast majority of his guests but he doesn't want to call himself a conservative which is why he's "politically homeless".

0

u/FrankLloydAight Sep 19 '26

He's not. I think youre confused. Its possible to share some opinions with some right wing people but not be right wing. Im a classsic liberal and I have some values which some people might call conservative - that doesnt mean im a staunch conservative politically. The cool thing about America is that we are free to think for ourselves and express our views without persecution. Some people struggle with this concept

1

u/Obaddies Sep 19 '26

People like the current administration you mean and Joe who, according to him, helped put them in power.

1

u/FrankLloydAight Sep 19 '26

Wow dude, you are blind with hatred, cant even converse. You might feel safer in a communist country

1

u/Obaddies Sep 19 '26

Lmao is that supposed to be a gotcha?

1

u/FrankLloydAight Sep 19 '26

I think we can all agree that trump is not the most democratic president. Its irrelevant
