They got a chance with Veilguard after the ME Andromeda launch shitshow and the Anthem debacle.

Veilguard was just not a Dragon Age game really and also decided to retcon the entire previous games story for some reason.  Plus they focused way way too much on writers self insert characters.

Since their last widely positively recieved game came out in the Xbox 360 era basically it's kind of surprising rhey stuck around this long.
