Kinda surprised they put Anthem on there. In comparison of all the others...it was...a little different.

Anthem was amazing (in a way) was really hoping they would get another shot at it but EA axed it...

EA is the reason Anthem launched with flight mechanics. BioWare handled the game’s development so poorly that they removed flight - the key mechanic that everyone actually liked - and EA told them to put it back in. I can’t speak to their other games, but Anthem was purely on BioWare.

I think BioWare is 70% responsible but EA forced them to use the bf engine and cancelled anthem next

I loved Anthem. They fucked that game up so bad.

The mechanics were great, but the UI was broken from day 1! What a brutal cycle that was.

The mechanics they absolutely nailed.

I just can't believe the team was told to stand down and the rest wasn't developed, because the base of a fantastic game was there. They had it

That may have not been the turning point in gaming discourse, but that was when I became fully aware of it.

Liking anthem was a guaranteed way to get relentlessly bullied online. It became the punch line for everything. People ripped it to shreds and tap danced on its grave.

It never had a chance. The team clearly had talent, and the leadership clearly had delusions.

They really could have. I can't remember the basr Javelin name, but that was pretty much iron man in movement and abilities.
