Its funny to see an announcement celebrating 30 years of legendary games. Yet not once was released in the last 15 years.

Mass effect 3, Dragon age 2 and Inquisition were all released within the last 15 years

No way are you saying Dragon Age 2 is a good game.

I mean it is, it is also received better now than at launch. It's a wildly different game than DAO but it tells a really compelling story and the gameplay is pretty fun

15 years is quite a time ago, you know…

I'd argue that all 3 of those games were a step down in quality from there predecessors. I remember even as a young lad thinking these games were not nearly as good as ME2 or DA1.

Inquisition is a pretty great game, however I do prefer DA1 and M3 id argue is the best of the trilogy

Really? You thought 3 was better then 2? Back in the day they had to redo the ending a release DLC to fix it. Maybe I need to replay I with fresh eyes.

The only bad thing about the third game is the ending, the rest of the game is absolutely incredible i think

Plenty of people post the Legendary edition release are reevaluating the series and putting 2 last.

Main reasons I’ve seen sited are that

You’re forced to work with Cerberus even if you don’t want to which 1 and 3 make pretty easy to do as they are nothing but awful in them.

The main plot is essentially irrelevant compared to 1 (discovering the reapers and learning they’re coming) and 3 (fighting the reapers),

pared back rpg elements compared to the other two,

3 being played after all the dlc and updates which sanded off the worst of the reasons people hated the ending,

Not being in the middle of the internet fervour around 3,

Not having the benefit of being technically superior to 1 as it got a massive facelift in the collection

Plenty of people obviously still love 2 for all the reasons it was loved originally but putting 3 above it is no longer a ‘weird’ opinion.

Well there you go. I can understand those points of view when you put it like that. But from my perspective thats like saying "Return of the Jedi" was better then "Empire Strikes back".

Yea, it was pretty interesting to experience the shift of "best of the trilogy" with time. I still think there can be made good arguments for all 3 games to be someone's favorite. They differ enough yet deliver altogether that it is up to personal preferance.

I recently replayed all of them through the legendary collection and I enjoyed myself most with 3. Maybe on launch it wasn't as good as it is now but I believe it aged better than 1 and 2 for sure

Alright. I will replay 3. Thanks

Idk if we are going to dance on the corpse of a once goated studio we should at least be accurate

Yeah and all of those were bad

That sure is an opinion

Let alone by the team that's currently there.
