Arrowhead (the devs) are crying about premium currency mods that give it to them after missions automatically. Also, the devs have no way of banning people and no real way of a report system...

To be honest their monetization isn't that predatory and you can gain premium currency playing (yes it takes some time) and their "season passes" don't have a timer on them

Hiding actual equipment (not only cosmetics) behind paywall/huge grind is exactly what I would call predatory.

It's a live service game. Legitimately how else are they to keep running?

How dare you suggest limiting their design space

I might be an outlier, but I’d rather pay a couple dollars for weapons/equipment over cosmetics. I tend to run into a problem with cosmetics where I pay for something cool then drop it because they release something else that replaces it.

It's not a huge grind though, is what's being said. Also, you need medals to unlock items in a warbond and samples to unlock items like strategems and ship upgrades, neither of which can be purchased. For $40 this is one of the most fun games around that you can play with your friends with no stakes, simply playing the game gets you pretty far. The equipment isn't hiding, anyone you're playing with can drop items for you, and serves as incentive. Not exactly 'predatory' especially in this day and age.

Having played way too much Helldivers 2, the actual shitty thing they do is force people to change their loadouts with rebalances.

Finding a loadout you actually like only for the devs to nerf your shit got old after a dozen or so times.

And everyone knows the only reason they do it is to push players to new premium content.

??? The last big nerf was over a year ago to my knowledge?

You think that's "predatory"? Who defines what is predatory and what isn't anyway?

Arrowhead could pull SC from the game completely at any time.

Eh it wasn’t predatory at the start…but it’s gotten worse with each ‘premium’ release

They have some of the best monitization in a live service game short of DRG. Farming the currency in game is so easy too

There are free-to-play games with better monetization than this. Again, if the warbonds contained only cosmetics, I would 100% agree with you. Having actual equipment in these warbonds is predatory.
