I loved red white boneless, but the only way they do gluten free ramen is by just selling the broth. Any suggestions for other places with better options? I don't mind a place that is omni, as long as they can do mine vegan, as my omni friend is GF.

Hi everyone! 🎃
If you’re looking for a fun 21 course Halloween themed vegan dining experience in small bites, come to Al-Andalus on Tuesday, October 27th! Get your tickets now, they’re going fast ✨
They’re also doing a costume contest with a $100 gift card prize to dine at Overthrow Hospitality, the whole restaurant will be in theme and they are dropping some new thematic cocktails and mocktails at the party too! Really exciting! They are celebrating one year of business in a big way and this is a great way to support! ❤️

I just finally made my way to the May Wah/Lily's Vegan Pantry Store, and WOW, it's so good! I have placed orders to be shipped from there a few times, but have always wanted to go and shop there in person.
They have all of the great vegan meat subs that you get in the restaurants, and some prepared foods and a good selection of all kinds of other vegan meats and snacks, pantry items, sauces, etc.. I saw but forgot to get a bottle of vegan fish sauce, so I'm trying to go back soon for that.
Highly recommend, also they had freshly made (still warm) rice balls up by the register that were great even the next day.

Long time listener, first time caller here.
I usually make my birthday cake but this year due to time constraints and general fatigue, I was hoping to commission a cake. Sadly my first choice closed (rip Le Petit Monstre, will miss you), and I was hoping to survey the community for recommendations. If anyone else preordered this or another nontraditional cake and enjoyed their experience would love some direction.
Thank you!

Love their Chinatown locations, not sure how a fine dining adaption of the menu would be, especially at $100/pp. What are peoples' thoughts on it?

going to kelloggs for a lunch soon (not in charge of location, i know there are better choices) and i'm curious what my options there are? haven't been since they reopened and their menu online is confusing as hell (weird labeling system with no index-vegetarian and vegan things labeled VG and V seemingly interchangeably?) anyone been recently? have any reports or favorites?

I am attending a friendsgiving the week before thanksgiving. instead of cooking, i'd prefer to get a couple of trays/platters to cut out some cooking work. not sure what spot in the city does this? bonus points for thanksgiving-type food.

I know of many places you can get vegan Jamaican Patties (Natural Blend, Patty Haus, FoodForNegus) in Brooklyn but does anyone know where I can also get Vegan Cocobread? Was craving it last week! They sell some online but I really just wanted to get one somewhere local if anyone knows?

Hi all,
Me, my wife and my parents are visiting between the 23rd and 28th December.
We have gone through Google multiple times to look for all the vegan spots we can and we have a good list of places we will likely try.
But I’m wondering if anyone here can recommend anything that may not be as well known?
And specifically looking for recommendations for Christmas Day probably around 1/2PM as I know I’ll likely need to book. Does anybody know of spots that will likely be open or are good options.
Thanks all!

Hi neighbors! 🥖🍞
We're coming back to the Greenpoint Williamsburg CSA this Wednesday for another free bread tasting — and it's our last one of the season! 🇫🇷
When: Wednesday, October 21st, from 6:30 PM to 8 PM
Where: In the backyard of Duke's Liquor Box, 114 Franklin St, Brooklyn, NY 11222
Who: Everyone is welcome, whether you're a CSA member or just love good bread!
We'll have samples of our handmade sourdough loaves, French baguettes, and focaccia, all baked fresh that day. Everything is vegan and free to taste, and we'll also have bread available for purchase if you'd like to take some home.
This is our second time joining the Greenpoint Williamsburg CSA, and with the CSA season wrapping up, it's our last chance to see you there this year!
Come say hello, enjoy a little French bread, and stock up on your favorites before the season ends. We can't wait to see you Wednesday! 🍞🇫🇷❤️

Really feeling the lack of Candle Cafe today 😭 . Looking for similar recommendations - fresh, whole, tasty foods that don't rely on being fried or being named after a "meat"
*I am not looking for anything City Roots

I'm looking for a place to order a vegan birthday cake! I was thinking Confectionery as an option but wanted to hear if anyone had tried anywhere else. If it is able to deliver that is a plus!

Hi all--I'm bedridden from a very severe chronic illness and have found myself repeating the same few restaurants over and over lately. A lot of times peoples' general recommendations on here don't end up delivering to where I am in the west 70s. (I know Peacefood--that's one of the ones I'm repeating.)
If anyone has any recs I would really appreciate it!

I made vegan banana bread for the first time yesterday! I added a simple vanilla glaze on top.
I’d love to learn what you all enjoy baking at home. Especially any relatively easy baking recipes for vegan treats!

Just sharing for awareness.
I notice that Gregory's Coffee had many vegan food options in the past, which was my main reason for going to that coffee shop. Then they stopped some items (weirdly stopped selling the vegan croissant which they still used on their sandwiches - nonsensical imo) and seemed to start incorporating other healthy food type options with a mix of vegan (date balls). They specifically added an oatmeal that was perfect for grabbing and going as it was in their chiller with drinks and stuff.
I went today and not only do they no longer have their new oatmeal (chia and coconut, pumpkin seeds and stuff) but they've seemingly swapped it with a menu item hot oatmeal. I tried to order it and they did not have any....so I went with the only other vegan sandwich. They seem to also have a vegan wrap now? Literally two columns of food items on the tiny menu.
I can't help but notice that their menu seems to be much larger for food these days and they are heavily advertising their eggs, but they basically have one primary vegan option. This is very upsetting as this was a nice little staple distributed throughout the city where I knew I could at least get SOMETHING. But now I think I probably won't go back.
Sharing for others awareness that they don't have the chiller oatmeal, very sad to see. Seems to be trending away from the vegan stuff.

Species Unite and Gotham Bat Conservancy are teaming up this October for a Halloween wildlife night next Friday, Oct 23rd, from 6-8PM at Tiny Arts Supply in Ridgewood. Register here: https://partiful.com/e/gla03585GuioL3NYg1pu?c=3c2BbFnJ as we do have limited capacity for this event.
We will have expert talks busting myths about some of the season's favorite animals (bats and wolves), opportunity to paint bat houses that will be out up around the city, and a costume contest, with the winner getting to have a bat house dedicated in their honor! Snacks provided by plant-based cheese company RIND.
Hope to see you there!

Looking for community. I’m an intersectional vegan, anti-war, anti-capitalism, pro-environment, pro-migrant, anti-ICE. I’m a filmmaker, 1st gen, I like weight lifting, cooking, farmers markets, hiking, all arts, yoga, parks, not drinking/smoking. Early 30s, in south Brooklyn. Really busy schedule but I would love to get some vegans together down here!

Just curious if anyone here has adopted a health-focused vegan diet and would be interested in connecting? (Don’t interpret this to mean that the ethical/environmental aspects aren’t important to me)
I’m a guy in my late 20s who lives in Manhattan and am into fitness/health. (I have other interests like meditation, reading, languages, and others, but I’m looking for health vegans specifically).

Are there any vegan restaurants in NYC that do special Thanksgiving menus? Planning on doing a peaceful solo Thanksgiving dinner this year and would love to stop by somewhere for lunch or dinner :)
