Got this Clip+ in today. Had a bit of trouble getting Rockbox onto it. First I tried installing it onto the SD card, and then had the wrong USB mode selected. I felt like an idiot afterwards, but I got it working and that's what matters.

The small screen really isn't an issue. You can spam the buttons and the device is responsive, so I'm not sure how anyone can say navigating is slow. Especially with Rockbox and the ability to select smaller text. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but I've been spoiled by my HiFi Walker H2, so don't take that to mean it sounds bad.

My unit came without the clip, though it was a clean break and I wasn't interested in one anyway. However there are some scuffs and a couple small chips, so I will be getting a case to protect it from further damage.

All-in-all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I have some Moondrop Nice Buds coming tomorrow, too, which I'm excited for. I included a photo of the Clip+ next to my H2 to give you an idea of just how small this player is. Dimensions are 55mm (H) x 34.5mm (W) x 10mm (D; no clip).

EDIT: I am noticing now there is an issue with the battery. It won't charge to 100% and is constantly fluctuating.

Sorry about the question, but this is a big purchase for me. I've been looking into it, and I need support from people who know way more than I do lol. I'm trying to look into an MP3 player to replace the not-so-great old LGL15 now that I have the money to buy it myself, and I'd like some advice

Currently, the iBasso DX180 is the one that checks all my boxes: good Bluetooth compatibility, 3.5 mm headphone jack, m3u support, expandable storage, and, most importantly, an easily replaceable battery. Currently, all the ones I can find are quite pricey (For me at least), and I need to know if it's worth it

Does anyone with experience know how long they last? (Completely ignore software becoming obsolete; I don't care; it'll be an offline device; I don't stream music anymore) If I'm going to spend so much money on this, I want it to last me a long time. If it doesn't, or if there's a better alternative, please tell me. I've heard there can be issues with the headphone jack, but if I ever use that frequently, I can get a small adapter to help, and I plan to get a protective case for it.

I've been off streaming for over, I think, 3 years now and never actually bought an MP3 player. I used my iPhone before then switched to the LGL, but it gave me issues with connectivity due to being a cheap old phone with bad Bluetooth. I plan to use it for nothing else but music and use its MangoOS unless it sucks (MAYBE Discord, but it'd hardly be used cause I still carry my phone)

Do you guys think it's worth it, or should I get something else? What price is good? I heard there are 2 versions: 3 gig RAM, 32 gig storage, and 4 gig RAM, 128 gig storage. Should I go for the 4 gig?

Hello, so ive been using an mp3 player for months now. a cheap one off amazon that cost about $30 (linked for u to see what i mean). anyways my library is quite large now (about 500 tracks) and my mp3 players been struggling. it seems to be having trouble detecting the end of some of the most recent tracks i added and just continues playing a finished track as static. it was never meant to be a permenant player for me, but just something to try out having one.

i want a new player but am struggling to find one that meets all my need. Mainly i love how small mine is yet the battery is really solid and dosent need charging for more then an hour every week or two. i would also really like bluetooth and a headphone jack out for my speakers and headphones. a playlist function would be neat because im starting to get enough songs of different genres to feel it may be required, but not necessary.

to summarize what im looking for.

MUST:

small, no big palm sized players. something close to what i got.

Good battery, charging infrequently or fast charging.

Headphone jack port

Bluetooth.

WANT:

buttons would be nice, not a fan of the big players with a touchscreen, i like having buttons.

sd card slot would be nice but not needed.

TRADE OFFS:

happy for a "lower quality" player, i already use bottom of the Barrel tech (cheap speakers, headphones, etc.)so having a super fancy player a huge need

I have an Innioasis Y1 and the bluetooth used to work just fine but recently I click on to switch bluetooth on so I can pair it to my car, but as bluetooth is switched on it instantly switches itself back of after basically a milisecond and then I cant click it at all. I dont know why, please help!

My dad bought me the AGPTEK A53PL ipod for christmas last year and I had no issues putting songs on it a few months ago, however now that I'm trying to put more songs on it, the file doesn't pop up. I know this isn't a USB port issue because it recognizes my phone just fine. I have no clue what to do at this point, I've restarted my Chromebook twice and tried at least four different USB-C cords, all it does is charge. Any advice would be deeply appreciated!!

both are perfect if you're looking for an MP3 player under $50 or under $30 both come with a 64GB micro sd card

haven't really used them a lot yet so I'm not sure about battery life

Mp3 player with ABSOLUTELY NO Bluetooth, Wifi, Audio or video recording and easily moddable so I can take out the charging/data port when I'm finished loading my music.

So ive got a Zen Touch (originally 20gb)

My hdd died and i put in an ide to cf adapter and then a cf to sd adapter

My player recognises the sd card but it just wont load firmware using the tool on windows11 (using windows 7 sp2 compatability and rebooted pc into disable driver security signature)

I know using windows xp is best however my spare pc doesnt want to boot and my vm doesnt want to install windows xp (just freezes on reboot)

Would i be better just getting a cf card from amazon or am i doing something wrong.

So I got this cheap mp3 player and now noticed it can't even display cover art, which is the main reason I want a different one. It's also not that intuitive because you have to use the left-right buttons to go up & down. What's a better one around 50 euros? I'm in the Netherlands so that kind of constricts the players I can buy, but please give me your suggestions!
