Calradic Campaign Hydrophobia - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #91 Post Event Summary (MULTIPLAYER EVENT)
Grand Prince Ivan thought little of the rain when he marched through the pass leading to Seonon. Quickly, though, did he discover that highland storms are a beast of their own. Every well-walked path became a trap for any traveling on foot.
With the drumming of Battanian cavalry growing louder, he ordered his men off the road and through a rock formation, hoping to flank the Battanian army. Unfortunately it’s difficult to surprise people in their own land, and as his men emerged from beneath an archway a volley of arrows rippled into his men.
Meanwhile, the two army’s cavalry elements clashed along the main road. Heavy Druzhinniks were strung out and picked off by the lithe and nimble mounted warriors, leaving their lighter complement woefully outnumbered. By the time the Varyags reached the High King’s Oathsworn their mounted support was already dismantled, leaving them stuck in the mud without support, subject to the business end of spears and arrows.
Rallying who he could, the Grand Prince pulled away and took a fresh group of men downhill, using the dense tree canopy as a barrier against the oppressive Fiann mass. As the whole of the Sturgian assault circled around the locale, High King Corbo attempted to move his own soldiers down the main road, but the very same mud that impeded the Sturgians slowed the Battanians. In the blink of an eye fervent Varyags had crashed into them, their axes finally finding flesh.
With his heavier infantry disorganized after the clash, the High King pivoted to relying more on his skirmishers. Unburdened by the weight of armor, his infantry was able to slip out of the same choke they had been caught in before, baiting stray infantry into archer sightlines. With men and energy running low, the Grand Prince attempted to retreat his men downhill to a small fort, only for them to be struck in the side by stalking skirmishers. Throwing spears rendered shields unusable and devastated those not lucky enough to block them.
Few smaller fights occurred as the Sturgians reeled from the opening engagements, but none proved decisive enough to stop the tide from sweeping them away from the dream of Seonon.
The Battanians would not be content with simply thwarting them from the highlands. As if spurred on by the storm itself, they marched on Kranirog Castle, bringing the rain with them. Sections of the castle flooded, and after a short blockade the Battanians launched their assault.
Kranirog’s placement in the nook of a plateau made the siege no trivial task. Attackers were forced into chokepoints watched by ballistae, their siege engines easy pickings for the defensive mangonels. Out of options, the Battanians manually cut down barricades to force their way inside. The storm raged as some of the most tenacious warriors in Calradia slugged it out in the streets of the castle, both sides paying for every step taken and lost.
The initial assault–despite its success–eventually lost its momentum and the attackers were pushed from the inner keep and back outside. For a moment victory felt within reach for the Sturgian defenders. However, there was a catch to Kranirog; the castle’s supremely defensive position that only allowed for one way in, limited it to just one way out. There would be no relief of any kind.
The second assault soon began. With renewed vigor and knowledge of the castle’s layout, the Battanians chipped away at the Sturgian’s footholds more precisely. Fianns manned the walls as the defenders lost ground, and their own ballistae were turned against them. The defenders found themselves fighting over the inner courtyard again, much sooner than they would’ve liked. The garrison fought down to the last man, making sure the Battanians lost for their gain.
With the fall of Kranirog Castle, the High Kingdom is now poised to attack a number of Grand Principality settlements, though only time will tell if the pendulum is still swinging in favor of Battania, or if this was its apex.

Welcome to the Bannerlord Calradic Campaign, which has just finished event #91!
The battle between the High Kingdom of Battania and the Grand Principality of Sturgia ended in a BATTANIAN VICTORY, with Utheliam Castle and Kranirog Castle seized!
When is the Calradic Campaign? The first and third Saturday of every month, at 4pm Eastern Standard Time.
Unfamiliar with the Calradic Campaign? Have no fear! The Calradic Campaign is a casual, player driven, story based event. There are no strict rules or signups, and players of all skill levels often come! If you've never tried multiplayer, now is your best chance to experience large scale formations and battles without the overly strict practices typically found in line battle/clan style events.
Victories in our flagship monthly events are represented on the overall campaign map, while roleplay surrounding the events and their consequences takes place both during said events and on the community Discord. Joining the Discord allows you to communicate with your fellow faction members, trash talk others, and rise through the ranks to one day become lord of a village, castle, city, or if you're particularly successful, an entire kingdom!
To join the event, you will need our Calradic Campaign Module. This module contains all of the custom battle and siege scenes used, as well as many stability fixes and balance changes. Most importantly, the module features three distinct empire factions in multiplayer, each with their own unique perks and cosmetics to lean into the different situations of the three!
There will be a manual installation of the module available for those not playing on Steam. Check the Nexus mods page no sooner than the Friday before the event for the correct download.
As a general rule of thumb, the Calradic Campaign module should be the only one enabled in your launcher! If you have any crashes or issues trying to launch the game / join the server, unsubscribing and resubscribing to the module on workshop will often fix any issues.
Note to clans: While the Calradic Campaign is a public event open to all, clans will not be allowed to organize their own formations and must spread out between teams. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension from the event.

It is highly recommended you join our community Discord, as half the fun of the persistent campaign takes place outside of events. Meet fellow Mount and Blade fans, find new friends to queue with, and make fun of the Vlandians together in our community of 30,000+.

Calradic Campaign Heavy Rain - Bannerlord Calradic Campaign #91 (Multiplayer Event)
Lore
Seonon holds a significant place in entwined legacies.
For the Sturgians, it represents the pinnacle of their success against the highlanders when Knyaz Sigmundr humbled the not-yet High King Robert, fresh off the kingdom’s victories over the Vlandians and Western Imperials. Ever since its loss the boyars of the Principality have incessantly petitioned the Grand Prince to campaign against the city once more to retake their foothold in the Uchalion Plateau.
For the Battanians, it was the heart of the Wolfskins, reclaimed by High King Robert who bested Sigmundr in the rolling hills outside the city. Since its return to Battanian control its been a point of pride to defend the city at all costs, lest they tarnish the legacy of Robert the Redeemer.
It seemed only fitting, then, for such a pendulous history to repeat itself.
Having scored the first Battanian victory against the Vlandians in years as well as taking yet another Western Imperial settlement, High King Corbo finds himself having to quickly march back north to thwart an encroaching Sturgian army with their sights set on the city of Seonon. This haste is not without its repercussions, though, as he leaves an unresolved land dispute to boil to its flashpoint.
The Sturgian host is not without their own share of struggles. As they marched upwards into the highlands, dark clouds mustered. Soon after came the unrelenting rainfall that feeds the Llyn Tywal, leaving the Sturgians bogged down in a winding pass, while the Battanian response continues to close in. With a small nameless village and the pine canopy as their cover, they await the High King’s arrival.
Will the men of the Principality find themselves at Seonon’s threshold once more, or will they be washed away by the heavy rain?
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the ninety-first Bannerlord Calradic Campaign! This event will feature the Sturgia and Battania battling for Seonon once more!
If the Sturgians prevail on the field, they will move to siege Seonon, going north to secure Flintolg Castle should they fail in the siege.
If the Battanians achieve victory in battle, they will retake Utheliam Castle, then continue to push east and siege Kranirog Castle.

How to fix this?
This is waiting for me in diathma and I can only assume there is more cause every time I go out there to clean it up my game crashes from all the entities. This is the only location where this is happening. Any advice to help solve this will be greatly appreciated. I do have the “better bandits” mod but it’s default settings (also when I click the “clear all bandits” button my game crashes. . .)

Bannerlord Ok, but why is Smithing so broken?
As you most likely know, Smithing in Bannerlord is broken: you basically grind up your Smithing skill and spam stacks of javs or daggers (regular or throwing, I don't remember), and then sell them for great moolah.
I get that it's an exploit and an oversight on the devs' part, but, on a technical level, why do javs or daggers yield so much money when sold? What makes them more expensive than a sword or a spear?

Bannerlord My Skill Issue (probably) need help
About 500 hours played and I still feel lacking in campaign skills. I really love role-playing to revive the dying southern empire (pretendings it's a rebirth of the western roman empire) or start my own empire. However, every campaign, right at about the point when I get 5-7 fiefs under my control, pretty much every faction declares war on me at the same time. How do people who do total conquest get past this point of the game? I also don't usually have that many vassals since I try not to have too many rivals competing against my decisions for the kingdom. Is this even possible with only a few or no vassals? Or do I need to start bringing in more clans at this point in the game? If so, how do I get the clans to not curtail every decision I make?

Update, I like commanding
I recently made a post about being unable to play realistically.
I absolutley adore being in command now. I got taken from the rear while fast forwarding to a village by a sturgian army 1300 strong. I had to co sider my options, i tried to buy my passage. I was just a valandian mercenary. They said "Why would we accept gold we could just take" so i surrendered.
I figured my 60 against their army was no match.
I also got extorted by the brotherhood, oh believe me they are all gonna get executed when i get stronger. I have this mod that only modifies relations with their friends and not every lord. So im gonna fucking kill them when I get my legs under me.
But, I got to hold a shield wall. I got to in real time set a battle plan, modify it when the battlefield changed. And win.
I got to use the fucking terrein to make a battle plan and won. I wont say im good at it, But i have the good sense to tell my men to disperse when archers push the line and to have my archers turn theit infantry into pin cushions. I love it.
I recently had to face an all cav force. I only had infantry and archers. Whoever said archers are goated was understated. I just had my infantry shield wall and had my archers behind them to shoot them while they charged. I lost men but i won.
It makes every decision a necessity to seriously consider. When i got taken prisoner? It cost me 10k to get back to where i was. I only had 16k. I love that. If you fuck up? Yeah its gonna cost you. But what I love the most is taking bad odds and winning

Bannerlord How do you get a town to rebel?
I was told that if you buy up all the food in a town, make sure none gets in and use it on a town that has a different culture from the owner, they would rebel very quickly. However I have spent 350,000 on it and it hasn’t even gone below 20 yet. What do I do?

Bannerlord Rebbelion - What am i doing wrong?
They are not rebelling...
3 to 1 milltia/garrison
2 loyalty
(i used the no food way.. and if you know i just "f'ed up" a bit there)
No noble in the settlement, i am waiting outside for like days... (not even the ones that just govern the settlements and dont have the little army flags)
my position is pretty much outside the gates, do i have to move even further so i dont have "eyes" in the city for it to trigger the rebel??
i am not inside the settlement unless i go inside for a bit to buy the food i don't have the time to catch from outside
i don't think i can change the typo in the title....

Companion strategy
Seen videos on the best companions to get and seen how some are best for governors, things like surgeons and scouts, and then others are just good in battle, and was wondering only being able to have 5 companions (already having a good fighting one and a smithing companion) what others should I be hunting for and levelling before I need them such as before I get any fiefs

Bannerlord Is There a Reason to Level Both Bow & Crossbow
I recently did a run where I focused on one and twohanded weapons (and throwing on the side) and they worked great, switching between one to another depending on circumstance, but ranged weapons are less versatile what with the ammo requirement and all, so I was wondering if there is a point to leveling both bows and crossbows or if it's better to just hyperfocus on one and save the focus points for something else.

Bannerlord How do I get this guy to want peace
Vlandia is absolutely destroying Battania, I have nearly 300 charm. But I can't convince Caladog or Derthert to make peace. I only want peace cause my city is smack in the middle of battania so all my villagers keep getting raided so my city has no food, and I'm losing so much prosperity and loyalty. How do I either feed my people, or force them to make peace?

looks quite promising - I don't know why they used the warband map although arguably I always liked it much better myself too

I struggle to play realistically
Most of the campaigns I have ran I have used freebooter or even cheated to make my army not unbeatable. But very tough
I have gotten bored of that and stsrted a realistic run, I struggle with tactics I think. I always delegate command or f1 f3 and when the oppenant is better I lose. I know I can see on youtube these crazy situational strats or strats that really need rs camera to make work. On vanilla bannerlord, what are some small things you can do to turn a battle against a better armed army. Or any tips and tricks you have you have personally learned that directly equate to success on the battlefield.
Am i crazy that I like how fucking hard this game is?

I'M SO MAD
I just need to vent.
I'm on day 64, 9 companions, and I've only just now realized I've probably wasted a total of 30 levels on Party Skills because I didn't know they don't stack. I just wanna start the whole game over but running around the map to grab companions.
I'm playing Floris Evolved, is there an easier way to get companions? I thought I saw an option on character creation that said "gather your companions" or something.
Edit: Okay there is an import and export option. I exported Borcha, reset the skill points and gave him skill points to attribute but once I click import it says there's no file.
