I just wanted a hot dog My new reality

Post image

I have IBS and therefore have to severly limit my diet. Mind you half the stuff on this list is food I really enjoy eating, or is virtually included in everything 🙃 the universe said you WILL eat that boiled chicken and rice and you WILL LIKE IT

Ahhhh yes welcome to the dietary restriction game, where the rules don't make any sense and you're gonna shit yourself anyway.

It sucks to adjust to but feeling better and not living in the bathroom becomes worth it

Fr. Feels like I'm playing Russian roulette with my gut some days.

The vast majority of things on your list have lots of fat and oils... did you ever get your gallbladder checked?

I thought this was a gallbladder issue before IBS when I saw the list.

No, and I'll definitely get myself checked for internal issues if a diet change doesn't fix it.

I really think you should get it checked before compromising so much on your diet and things you love! It's usually just a blood test and an ultrasound for gallbladder issues. Hopefully it's an option for you 🤞

I feel this in my soul. I'm celiac with a ton of fodmap intolerances. Food isn't fun anymore, it's anxiety and confusion

Hope you get things sorted out.

Consider looking into Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese dishes. Their food is pretty FODMAP-friendly, while still being flavorful and filling.

My husband has Crohn’s and IBS. He had a hard time controlling his flare-ups until we got married and I started cooking for him.

I am Eurasian, so I don’t know how to make a lot of the “unsafe” foods. So, unless he wanted to make his own dinner every night, he had to start eating a lot more Asian cuisine.

Wouldn’t you know it, it helped alleviate some of his symptoms. He hasn’t been cured and he still experiences periods of inflammation, but it isn’t as frequent or prolonged.

I've heard of this game from a friend.

Round 1. Eat rice. I've never heard of some one having issues with rice.

Round 2. I think you have issues with rice.

And some days even if you follow everything correctly you may shit your pants or feel like you're dying.

My biggest triggers are allium and nightshade vegetables. Sucks. I eat a lot of broccoli and kale 😭

I have to budget my fodmaps if I want broccoli or garlic. Heaven forbid I want them both
