ಠ_ಠ Caught our exam grader pasting every essay into ChatGPT

Not a single word was read per grade.

he's right to push back on this

I cringe every-time it does this. ChatGPT folds like a house of cards every time when challenged. And I hate how it's always trying to incorporate it's knowledge of me in every response.

Me: AI, what is considered BB Kings greatest album

AI: His greatest album is considered to be Riding with the King. There are some great backing tracks I can find so you can practice on your Yamaha Revstar and Fender Twin amp.

Like it constantly has to work that in whenever I ask anything music or guitar related.

You know you can actually tell whichever ai agent you use to be less nice to you.

I am curious what it would say about them in the memory summary.

Last time I needed some honest thoughts, I asked for it to challenge me.

And of course it didn't. It didn't quite glaze, but it had a lot of reasons why something WOULD work the way I wanted it to. That's not what I was asking for.

So then I asked it to tell me why the above answer wasn't correct and rip the argument apart. So now it was agreeing with me (which it loves!) and giving me the challenge I needed.

Yeah, it sucks at giving feedback.

Nah, tell it based on gestures or something you think X person liked you and it'll push back hard lol.

You can train it to be however you want. Mine knows I need to be challenged and hate capitulation, complicity, too much agreeableness, etc. I tell it things specifically to be challenged so I can find the flaws in my thinking, reasoning, copy (I'm in marketing/development), etc.

It also outputs thousands of words for answers because it knows I like to truly and deeply understand concepts and what I'm being taught. And, I trained it to not hallucinate. Any and all answers must come with a citable, working, active source. Its reasoning must be explained. And I always use high thinking mode.

People hating AI is truly just due to ignorance, just like most hatred of anything and anyone.

If Claude Code, which is currently the top contender for a coding agent, can give me a non-existent, or completely transposed command(which would be nonfunctional) your AI is absolutely hallucinating.

My team got pinged for not using it enough, and I have literally had it justify and incorrect command with a link to a KB from the vendor that had the command as like the tenth line on the page after explaining what the command did.

I was so blown away, I then opened another conversation, sent the link and said "explain what this kb is talking about, and what commands it uses"

It transposed the command, again.

It does it because on this hardware platform, they swap the ordering of two words, to be different than the other major player in the field(Cisco vs everyone else)

So even though the KB, directly from the vendor, says "word1 word2 word3 number" the AI output weighs what I assume is "hey 95% of content involving this is word1 word3 word2 number" and spits it out.

AI is good enough, and does great data manipulation, but dear god do not use it as any sort of source of truth even with citations, because it will just make up what those citations contain.
