Maybe we should not let a class of the rich few squander the jobs of the working people who have no power to stop them

First generation builds it, second generation maintains it, third generation snorts it away.

It's because their dopamine receptors are absolutely fried. They don't have that satisfaction that they saved, struggled, and achieved a goal. They don't suffer anything even being told no. It's all instant gratification. Everything they do is to chase some kind of new dopamine high. They will end up with paranoia that everyone around them is just there for their money. They are lonely, isolated, and unfulfilled in a coffin of their own making. They will be driven by fear instead of goals. Any contingencies that they make will be because it is something they would do themselves. They are not good people because their actions shows that they don't care about charity, employees, or community. They are not only detached from anything that would be considered a community, they think that because they have money they deserve to be in that community. They think they are mobility in a federalist society. They think they can make the rules and beholden to none of them.

Brother you have 360K karma you have absolutely no place to talk about “fried dopamine receptors”

Over a course of 5+ years, that is over 1800 days. You act like that is a lot of karma for that amount of time. That means I average around 30 karma per day.

Is reddit karma a bad thing? I got like 50k in 5 months by just posting memes

Most of my karma comes from comments. I engage in communities that I genuinely want to be apart of. I don't care about the downvotes. They are probably trying to say since my account appears to care about upvotes my dopamine receptors should also be fried.

When I mentioned 30 karma a day on average calculated with basic math. If I actually cared about karma I would want significantly more than that. I would have more posts and comments on my account farming for numbers. I truthfully didn't realize how high it was until they commented on it. So the fact that instead of trying to attack my argument they attack my character as if that is a good debate tactic.

So to answer your question Reddit karma means nothing. It doesn't do anything to put food on your table. It doesn't do anything to pay your bills. It doesn't do anything other than show that the community agrees with you.

I fear young folks are burning out their dopamine receptors with instant gratification and short scrolling.

While I agree, the majority of young folk are not the equivalent of addicts spending everything and risking everything just to chase another high. Social media is partially to blame for this. Example being the young folk bringing up my karma as if that discounts anything I said.

What drives them? I would sell everything and live off of interest immediately. Why have that worry in my life?
