Mass Effect was the only connection I had to my dad growing up

I mean, EA is a pretty easy boycott these days

I’ll continue not buying sports games or the Sims expansion packs

Pretty sure I'm doing that already

ME and Sims were all i played from them. And with sims i had most of the dlc from DLCunlocker(rip) so they never got a dime from me.

I’ve been boycotting EA since Andromeda I don’t really think they give a shit.

Even if you get a few hundred people to boycotting, a massive company like EA wouldn't even notice. And what's the end goal? To bring back Bioware? EA is a for profit company, if they think a division isn't profitable enough they won't bring it back

I mean, I get the sentiment. But Bioware kind of did this to themselves. Andromeda was a sloppy mess in release with piss poor writing and Anthem was even worse. Financially they dug their own grave.

I never play any anyway. Easy for me

I already planned to after they were acquired by the Saudis. Fuck giving those murderous bastards money.

This just made it easy. Still hurts missing the last Jedi game, but oh well.

I think I'm boycotting passively at this point. I don't play FIFA. Seemingly EA isn't interested in anything else new. Maybe I would've been interested in the next Jedi game but it's not going to do me much FOMO to just not partake. EA wants the 'sports and doesn't care about Saudi human rights violations' demographic and I leave them to it.

Don't usually find boycotting affective but I'm not interested in anything EA has anyways lol....but at the same time Bioware hasn't made anything great in over 10+ years. Mass effect trilogy is probably in my top 3 games of all time so I love bioware but I doubt they are blameless in their downfall.

While i agree on the sentiment and your reason, lets not forget how long bioware did release a good game. Sure ea has the biggest part of the blame, but without result, they couldnt keep 400 employees that didnt bring back some money. Its sad, but reasonable.

Lets hope for a fan made game or a rebuy of mass effect right by other compagny. That is all we can hope for

You really didn't have any other type of connection with your dad? Sounds like that's not your fault (or EA's), tbh, but his.

All the dudebros buying Madden/Fifa/Sportsball microtransactions probably make more money for EA in a year than Mass Effect made across its entire lifetime.

You could have every ME fan boycott EA for the rest of time and they would not even notice

The existing Mass Effect games aren't going away
