I grew up in and around Edmonton when BioWare was at it's highest with Mass Effect. It was something to be really proud of that a small Canadian upstart was able to make such a big impact in the gaming world.
No one can take that achievement away from them. Those games are storytelling and gameplay of the highest caliber, and I count myself fortunate to have played them.
Seconded as another Edmontonian. Used to drive past the building as a kid -- my uncle used to work there! Always thought that was so cool. Still so proud of them and the legacy they built.
