NEWS Its official, Saudi-led group bought EA...

I honestly fear for the open-minded future of our franchise. Mass Effect was a big part of my life, and I loved that it tackled topics that might be controversial in its own way. It was never in your face, but subtle enough to be believable... especially with the choice of a badass female Shepard.

Let's hope they don't meddle too much, too quickly...

That doesn't affect the actual games, especially the niche ones. They invest for the money and that comes primary from the sports games from EA. ME franchise is niche against that. They are only interested in money the sales of the game make. That's why the investments are for: business, and just business.

No need to panic people.

If it’s only an issue now then you never cared to begin with. If you’ve purchased games from them before, or from Nintendo, Xbox, Sony, Activision, Katakawa, Capcom, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, CD Projekt or Ubisoft then your money has gone to them.

Stop virtue signaling.

The Saudis do and yes the Kushners do because they have heavy investments in most major game publishers.

We live in a society where someone evil is tied to just about everything in the world somewhere and with something. Be it the slave labor used in mines to extract the materials for the computer you are using or people at the top like Trump who have investments in as many companies as possible.

That’s why you are virtue signaling. You’re making a grand standing of this when in reality you only care because you’re told to complain.

I make my own mind up by using the information provided, I’m not stepping away from the IP because someone told me to. If you want to keep giving EA money then go ahead I really don’t give a crap, I personally haven’t brought any EA products since 2021 so me not buying anything going forward is far from grand standing. I did I mention the Saudi’s once?

They have just as much influence on the deal as Kushner.
