NUC10i3FN any good for Kodi?

I just picked up a NUC10i3FN w/ Intel i3-10110U running 2.1GHz and 8Gb of ram. Can anyone tell me is this would be a better setup for Kodi than the Nvidia Shield Pro?

I’m asking because I currently have a Shield Pro and an Amazon Cube and I would like to replace one or both with the NUC box.

i have a NUC with a i5 8th Gen and installed LibreELEC combined with Arctic Fuse 3. it runs butter smooth.

Is the LibreELEC better than using Windows or Ubenuba?

Tldr, it's much better.

The Shield * has 8 total cores BUT can only use either the quad-core cortex-A53 or quad-core cortex-A57.

The Intel Core i3-10110U * significantly faster and more capable than a quad-core ARM Cortex-A57.

The most powerful CPU in android streaming devices (without spending $300 for a micro amount of performance) * The fire cube - uses Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53. The i3 again dominates that processor.

Remotes * Perhaps look for something similar to this with dual sides https://a.co/d/05ZPeLHW * super luxury there's sofabaton https://a.co/d/0d7hloph * For the fire cube I have Rii i4 Mini Bluetooth... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T13GLY3 i seem to always hit the paddles up top, it's a little annoying. Otherwise it works well. * Ultimately I would suggest a remote that lights up when it senses movement. My fire cube has the Amazon Pro Remote and it's a fantastic feature.

Battery bonus * If you require AA or AAA batteries, grab these. https://a.co/d/04od3yV7 * Inside they're lithium-ion, so internally they charge to 4.2v. the electronics bms only outputs 1.5v with up to 2.5A of current. * a single charge lasts far longer than any other battery chemistry. Well worth the price! * Just make sure nobody tosses them when they need charged, as if they're a normal battery.. that'll suck given the price.

They also make the ear/nose and my little trimmer run at a higher speed, since they have the amps

Thanks. The remote was going to be my next question and you answered it.

Yes, Intel i3 is more than enough, try it !

The shield is far more optimised for video. If that is all you do then there is no advantage in replacing it. I would only replace it if you need more than just kodi and want to do things the shield cant.

Yeah I've had both & agree, the shield manages everything well, is built with the remote (obviously), and is seamless. Not sure what the advantage of changing would be, unless as stated above you want to do more with your nuc than stream video.

Define better.

It has to be better than the Cube. The Shield will be retired to the bedroom and the NUC will take over the living room.

If you've already made up your mind, why are you asking the question in the forms?
