Started Keto and got pregnant in the first month
Hello all! I posted about a month back about keto and trying to conceive. I was ttc from January, had a chemical and a mmc in March and April and then nothing for 6 months. I started keto just to lose my extra weight and there were a lot of comments saying that when they started keto they got pregnant. So I just wanted to say that it happened to me too. From the first month I started keto I got pregnant, its really early to know how will it go but my numbers are really good. I know it might not be correlated to Keto but it's really strange and I am really happy about it.

Its quite common, you can see r/ketobabies
PCOS is one of the largest drivers of infertility, and very low carb diets help address that. I would look up Lily Nichols, she has written a lot on the subject.

I’m going through IVF, and my doctor prescribes keto to all of his patients! That’s how effective he believes it is for fertility :)
And congratulations!!!

Yeah! Fortunately I’d been on keto since 2013 already, since I also had no idea of its fertility benefits.
Here is my clinic’s page about it: https://www.cnyfertility.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Kiltzs-Keto-Cure-Magazine.pdf

Hooray! I remember seeing your post and I didnt comment because I thought, oh shes about to find out whether we tell her or not 😂
It took longer for me, about 6 months maybe. But I'd been trying for 12 years, and had blockage in my fallopian tubes on top of PCOS, so I didnt expect it to result in pregnancy at all at that point. But I got my miracle baby I'd been told I'd never have. Shes 7 now. I hope all your mommy-dreams come true too and you have a healthy pregnancy.

I wasn’t trying to conceive as I was 43 but my doctor told me the same. Keto contributed to it. But it was a really nice gift that I wasn’t planning on. My boy is now 4 and it’s such a joy to have him around. Keto really does great things with our bodies, hormones, gut, skin… just everything.

This is widely known in the keto community. Congratulations and spread the word. There is something about balancing your insulin that benefits every bodily system.

It took me years to get pregnant with my second. After I had her I was ready to get back in shape and started keto. Almost immediately got pregnant at 9 months postpartum with a surprise 3rd. Ended up with 2 under 2 😅

Congratulations!
Keto as many people have already commented is great for fertility. For optimum prenatal health ensure you are getting plenty of eggs and wild salmon for Choline and Omega 3's respectively.
Also, a good multivitamin would not hurt.

For those who got pregnant while keto - are you staying keto during your pregnancy? If so, how's it going & what differences have you noticed from this pregnancy to previous non-keto pregnancies?

Baby needs carbs. Ketones aren’t great for baby. Low carb is good but strict keto is not for pregnancy

I didn't stay on keto because I have terrible morning sickness and vomiting.

Congratulations! What part of your cycle did you start keto?

thank you! I think 3-4 days before my period, so I was doing keto for about a month when I had my positive test. I was worried that due to keto I might had different cycle but ovulation came on day 15 like all the other months.
