Is this dark meat chicken safe to eat?

Post image

I got this chicken from a restaurant. it is marinated and then grilled and put in the oven. I know dark meat can be pink when fully cooked, but the texture seems kind of off

Very orange, and has a slimy texture that almost resembles cartilage.

Is this safe to eat?

First time posting on reddit ever 😂 sorry if im coming off as stupid. I bought this chuck roast from the cold section at Aldi a week ago. I put it in the fridge as soon as I got home as the "use by or freeze by date" says November 6th. I took it out of the package and saw this dark line on the bottom of the roast. My Google searches tell me its good still, my husbands family says its bad and that I was supposed to put the roast in the freezer when I got home and that refrigerated beef is only good for 5 days. Its not slimy and does not smell. Any advice?

Is this batch of chicken safe to eat?

So a couple of days ago I got a bowl from a restaurant I work at and the universal consensus was that it was raw and unsafe to eat. I thought so too at the time, but I thought maybe I was mistaken.

The concerning thing is that when I worked there last there was another meal where the chicken appeared to be raw. A very long time ago this happened a couple of times but that issue was addressed quickly. But the other day there were two instances, one of which I am absolutely sure was undercooked (which matches the consensus here) the other which I'm also pretty certain was. Every other dish that I saw the chicken looked fully cooked.

There was some chicken that I took home at the end of the night a couple of days ago. I took some pictures of the dark meat chicken and at the time I wasn't sure if it was undercooked or not. I figured I would investigate later.

But now that it's been sitting in the fridge, it looks fine, which apparently is normal even for undercooked chicken. I'm heating it up more anyways, but if it wasn't fully cooked to begin with I don't want to eat it.

Things are pretty chaotic right now where I work, so I'm guessing somebody hadn't temped those two portions of chicken correctly in a rush, but it is usually temped and that doesn't mean a different batch of chicken would be unsafe.

I attached some pictures. I genuinely cannot tell if this is just pink dark meat that looks undercooked to my untrained eye or if it actually is undercooked and unsafe to eat.

This has been completely frozen for over a year. But when I thawed it in the fridge, it was this color. Is this safe to eat?

Found this larvae in this jar of raw (bought from a beekeeper) honey. I have had this jar for around a year and used it a couple of times a few months ago. The honey itself is very thick and smells a bit like caramel or burnt sugar.

Someone left their banana in the fridge at work. Not sure how long it's been in there.

Overripe or rotten?

Not sure if I can still mix this pear raw in juice, have to cook it and use as jam, or if it has to go in the bin

Took a small bite out of it, it's sweet but while the skin is fine the inner texture is kind of mushy and gritty

It smells and seems fine but I can't recall if this is how the powder looked like since it's been a while when I last drank it.

For reference, the brand of this is Kataoka.

Thank you very much!

Can I reheat frozen chicken nuggets

I’m sorry if this is a dumb question I have anxiety and I don’t cook a lot. I want to crisp up some dino nuggets in the oven and bring them to work the next day. No issue in then reheating them in the microwave right? Thank you!

Is this chicken breast safe to eat? What about the rest of the bird?

I noticed a strange discoloration with one of the breasts on a supermarket rotisserie chicken. I should have taken a picture before I took it apart, but here is a picture of it next to the other normal looking breast. I took the picture after I broke it open to look closer. There appears to be a deep void between the different muscles that make up the breast and it is filled with dark red material (blood?)

I hate to waste food but it looks gross. Can I eat around this?

(Freshly sliced) Deli ham has a slightly fishy odor and weird visual texture

Hi y'all, I'm so sorry if this is a really dumb question but I have really severe food anxiety and if something seems slightly off I freak out a bit. This is just regular cooked and sliced deli ham that I got yesterday, and when I went to make a sandwich I realized how weird it looked. I smelled it and it smelled a little fishy - like canned tuna - which I think is weird, but what do I know.

Is this still okay to eat? Is that a normal ham thing that I just haven't encountered yet? I don't trust my own judgment on this so I just need either reassurance that it's fine, or confirmation that it's not lol

Thank you!!!

Ate undercooked watercress

There was a pile of watercress at Hmart and it was on sale. This was my first time trying it, after searching it is similar to Korean water celery (미나리). I did wash it in water then put it in hot water that did not quite boil. I don’t think it was in the pan more than a minute but definitely at least thirty seconds. Should I be worried about liver fluke or giardia? My baby also ate it and I am so worried for him.
Thank you for your help!
