I am planning to buy and ipad for mix usage like note taking, reading books, casual gaming/work and media consumption here and there, I am confused between these options

1st is iPad pro M1 2tb wifi+cellular (Used) for AED 3050 (usd 830)

2nd is iPad Pro m2 128gb wifi only (Refurbished) for AED 2060 (usd 560)

3rd is iPad Pro m5 256gb wifi only (Renewed) for AED 3650 (usd 994)

4th is iPad Air M4 128gb wifi only (Brand New) for AED 2699 (usd 735)

I am willing to used them for at least some years like for next 4 years, and pro m5 and air m4 comes with 12gb of RAM, only pro M1 comes with 16GB of RAM,

Which one should I go for, is amazon renewed or resale products will be good, quite confused there as well,

your suggestions and kind advises will help me alot in deciding.

I’m in my last year of high school and I’ve been using the 13 inch M2 air since launch and it served me well but honestly carrying this around has been a nightmare, especially around school but also I have gotten a lot and I mean a lot of usage from the bigger screen when writing notes and doing stuff like that, but also I thought that the bigger screen would compensate for it not being an oled but honestly after seeing the oleds esp on the newer iPads, they look incredible while the lcd on the air just doesn’t compare, the new oled mini looks to be the best option because the 11 inch air is the same screen of the 13 and the 11 inch pro is a little expensive, i’m just looking to sell the M2 and then get the mini. I haven’t made up my mind yet since like I said I get a lot of usage from the larger screen and what I was thinking of doing is just finishing high school and then getting the mini.

Basically the title. I have an iPad 9th gen I’m thinking of upgrading. The battery is still good thankfully. When I’m not multitasking it’s fine but when I’m listening to music/a podcast while scrolling through Discord or even if I’m in a Discord voice chat while scrolling through Discord it starts to struggle and lag.

It handles my games fine. I play basic games (Pokémon go, Pokémon tcg pocket, power rangers legacy wars, subway surfers). I avoid stuff like Disney speedstorm on my iPad since it crashes all the time.

I also heard it’s losing support for iOS updates next year (2027)

Any feedback or thoughts would be appreciated!

Is this a wise and helpful repair at $120? Other alternative would be to spend more and get a newer more energy efficient iPad. I honestly dont need the pro features at this point. I would just like to have an iPad that I can use without having it plugged in. If I try to use it without being plugged in, you can just watch the battery percentage drop like crazy.

Been running an old iPad Pro 10.5” that is dead. Only use case is watching movies/tv shows when travelling, and have some long flights coming up so thinking to replace it. But it’d get no use at all at home.

Most guides seem to suggest the iPad a16 11”, which I could pick up for almost free via points.

But I worry the shift from a non-reflective 120hz screen to a reflective 60hz screen will feel a retrograde step. I don’t feel I can justify the cost of a new Pro given most of the time it gets no use at all.

What would you recommend?

After the latest update my ipad is blocking porn sites and I had to show photo ID to my ipad as proof of age. First it asked for my credit card as proof including the cvc but I refused. Is this something to do with the australian laws now?
edit; its not the website, the site only told me that restrictions in my ipad settings were blocking what I can see. When I checked in settings, screen time, content, web content my restrictions were set to limited and I had to change it to unrestricted. But to do that I had to scan ID which was sent to apple and then unlocked.

I have a 2yo IPad Air 13” (M2), it’s not being on any updates and I’ve been using it since I’ve bought it with a cycle count of 196 if that means anything.

I’ve forgotten when this began, but this bug where I swipe up to see all my apps has been bothering me for definitely a year now. The bug makes it so that certain apps just disappear and I can’t open them or swipe them up when I see them, but the position it is in when I’m im that view remains, so sometimes there’ll just be empty spaces when I’m trying to swipe apps up.

How do I fix this? This is so bothersome and I’m honestly really annoyed that my new-ish iPad that I paid over $1000 for is having this bug! And better yet, this isn’t the only bug this freaking iPad has, I don’t mind the rest, but this one is so annoying.

My ipad screen is showing such a brightness shift in the middle of the screen. It persists even on restarting the device, or cooling it,

Could anybody tell the likely problem, and how it happened, and the probably cost it might be to repair this from apple?

Completely dark gray with a faint backlight but no visible image.

Now, the screen will occasionally work normally for a few seconds before flickering back to colorful vertical lines (purple, blue, and green). It continuou have an iPad Pro 11-inch (2nd generation, 2020) that's recently started having display issues.

It initially developed a thin black vertical line that eventually disappeared on its own for a couple of weeks. Then, the screen started turning switching between a normal display and the distorted screen. Sometimes, it just stays dark gray with a faint glow.

The iPad has never been dropped or exposed to water. I also had both the battery and screen replaced in January 2026, so the replacement screen isn't even a year old.

The iPad itself still seems to function since my computer recognizes it, and I've been able to back it up.

A few questions:

1. Does this look like a failing LCD panel, a loose display connector, or potentially a logic board issue?
2. Could this be related to the screen replacement I had done in January?
3. Has anyone experienced something similar, and what ended up being the problem?
4. How much did it cost to repair, and would you recommend fixing it or upgrading instead?

Any advice would be appreciated! I'm trying to figure out whether it's worth repairing before spending money on a new iPad Pro.

I recently got an iPad Pro M5, and the front camera in FaceTime has a very wide-angle look. My face looks distorted, and the image shows much more of my surroundings than I would like.

I know about Center Stage, but I don’t want to enable it. I simply want to disable the ultra-wide view and use a more natural, tighter field of view.

Is there any way to do this in FaceTime or iPadOS, even if it requires a hidden setting or workaround?

Hi everyone,

my iPad 7th gen (2019, 128 GB) got damaged and the display shows no image anymore. The touchscreen still responds though, and the iPad itself works: it charges and Siri answers when I hold the Home button. I haven't restarted it since it broke.

I want to move ALL my data (apps, settings, photos, Notability notes from university etc.) to a new iPad. I'm not sure if iCloud backup was ever turned on.

What I've tried so far:

- Windows PC with the Apple Devices app → iPad isn't detected at all. The PC had never been connected to this iPad before, so it was never "trusted".

- Original Apple Lightning Digital AV Adapter → HDMI monitor → no picture

- Cheap third-party Lightning-HDMI adapter → no picture

Someone stole my USB C Apple Pencil, and I have this backup Gen 1. Is there any way to connect it to the iPad? It is listen on the compatibility list, so I think it works. I also know there is an adapter, which I did order, but I need it for my studies, so I wondering if there are any work arounds?

As the title, apps just show the standard menu of the app/folder getting big, but bugs out when I try to drag them, same goes for widgets.

im currently going to art school and it would be really helpful to have an ipad to use procreate that i could easily bring in and out of uni, but since i’m a student i don’t really have a ton of funds to buy any of the latest releases.

id really love to know which ipad generations support procreate (or if it’s true that you can download legacy versions if they don’t support the newest version of the app) and if it’d be worth spending the £200 or so to buy one second hand for this purpose. i don’t want to buy one and find out i wont be able to buy the app or that the thing will barely be able to run it 🥲

(i’ve never owned one so i’d also like to ask whether there’s an animation feature on procreate and whether that’s tied to any specific version of the app too, it’d really kill 2 birds with 1 stone considering i’d want to use it for animation as well)

I am thinking of getting the ipad a16 because my current budget allows me to get that only. I had planned to get an ipad air or pro this year but with the price hike it seems too much to invest in.

I currently have a 2018 ipad pro which worked fine but now it has become unreliable and turns off immediately if I move it somewhere else.

My work is mostly with procreate only, I draw designs for my small business.
Is it okay to get the a16 considering that I would only use it for drawing?

I do like the idea of not spending extra on an apple pencil.

I have been eyeing the iPad for some time now since I need something for note taking, document viewing, and drawing. I think my needs are pretty simple, with drawing as maybe the most intensive task but I’m a beginner artist so maybe it’s not much of a concern for now. I want to use this for at least the next 2-3 years, maybe even 4-5 years, then I might upgrade when I graduate.

For around 550 USD my options are the iPad Air 11 M3 (99% battery), iPad Pro 11 M1 (93% battery), iPad Pro 12.9 M1 (86% battery). All three have 256GB storage and seem to be in pristine condition to me. The iPad Pro 11 even comes with the keyboard folio, screen protector, and the Apple Pencil 2 if purchased as a combo for like 20 USD more; the other two I will have to purchase these accessories separately so their total cost might be a bit closer to 600 USD. My questions are as followed:

1. Is it true that iPad Air M3 onwards don’t suffer from the screen issues which plagued the M1 and M2 Air? I was planning on cutting costs but intentionally avoid these two since they are notorious for having screen issues by now.

2. For artists, is the Apple Pencil Hover feature really that important? I can see it being super useful but also I am just starting to draw now, maybe I will care about it in like 3 years but by then I might upgrade. Of these three, only the iPad Air M3 supports it I think.

3. Which one should I choose out of these three? Should I drop an additional 100 USD to go for the iPad Pro 11 M2 (256GB) instead?

*The currency is converted from my local currency. I wish Japan had a more budget-friendly secondhand market for iPads or that I had bought the sold out good deals, but I have been on the hunt for an affordable for 2 weeks now and I’m kinda tired.
