dude ... how is that sub 5 years old with NO POSTS?!
and more importantly, why link it when it's empty?
20
u/Cutmerock Sep 16 '26
There's posts in there. Not sure why you can't see any.
3
u/Any-Trifle5179 Sep 16 '26
I also can't see anything in there, it's just empty for me
4
u/top_cda Sep 16 '26
soo, I think I maybe just figured it out. When I'm on PC I only access via old.reddit.com ... when I remove the old. it loads but requires age verification
9
u/RelevantSchool1586 Sep 16 '26
plenty of posts there, not sure why you don't see them
1
u/top_cda Sep 16 '26
not sure if y'all are pullin' my leg or what, but no matter how I filter it only has "there doesn't seem to be anything here" in red at the top
3
u/greenmerica Sep 17 '26
Probably cause your on the old pc version. I’m on mobile and see lots of posts.

You know what? She had a goal and she tried to achieve it. I hope she didn’t get a TBI, this would be a devastatingly stupid way to ruin one’s life 🫶

u/Samiel_Fronsac Sep 16 '26
I don't see anything that could have softened that impact, but I don't think there was much to shake up in her head either, so...
14
u/Kaiisim Sep 16 '26
Gravity. You really don't need to fall long to get concussion speed.
This definitely sucked
3
u/Samiel_Fronsac Sep 16 '26
I meant that there wasn't much inside her head to damage in the first place, seeing as she decided to risk that climb.

u/LadyBug_0570 Sep 16 '26
That wasn't a twerk. She was just bouncing her body up and down.
4
u/Quentonrl Sep 16 '26
That’s seriously what you’re worried about?😭
17
u/LadyBug_0570 Sep 16 '26
Well she was stupid enough to climb up that thing to do an attention seeking stunt of shaking her ass so... yes.
I mean I hope she's okay but don't do dumb shit.
12
u/Sophilosophical Sep 16 '26
Obviously it’s dangerous to climb up and dance while likely inebriated, but if this hoop broke off at the base from a smallish woman’s weight, it was bound to happen the next time someone dunked and held onto the rim, which isn’t unreasonable behavior when playing on a basket that’s concreted to the ground. I’d have expected the actual rim/net to fail, not the pole holding it up
5
u/LadyBug_0570 Sep 16 '26
I'll give you that.
She still could've kept her attention-seeking-flat-ass on the ground to twerk (or not twerk).
6
u/Sophilosophical Sep 16 '26
To twerk, or not to twerk. That is the question.

Great now kids can't play basketball and it won't ever be fixed by the city

u/One_Of_Noahs_Whales Sep 16 '26
If it is so rusted that it can't take her weight it is probably for the best that it has been decommissioned.
9
u/Omegalazarus Sep 16 '26
Yeah one of those fell on a kid one time and gutted. Bled out right there on the court.
2
u/totally_not_a_zombie Sep 16 '26
Yeah good thing it's decommissioned now, somebody could have gotten hurt.
5
u/One_Of_Noahs_Whales Sep 16 '26
She was merely doing a service for her community, I too do shit because I am
drunktrying to ensure the safety of others.1
u/Sophilosophical Sep 16 '26
She was performing a little percussive maintenance and the hoop (pole) failed the test.

u/Creeptoke Sep 16 '26
Perfect, yank her up by the head
11
u/StryctNyne Sep 16 '26
Pretty sure with a head injury you're supposed to twist while yanking, but I'm no headologist
3
u/mothzilla Sep 16 '26
No you have to keep the head still. That's why paramedics drag people by their feet.

6
u/RandomCandor Sep 16 '26
Absolute best case scenario considering the physics of the situation.
She might never appreciate how lucky she got there. Imagine that happening when she's half way down the metal hoop.

Why do people always insist on instantly lifting people who hit their heads really hard?
3
u/KingOfFools1984 Sep 17 '26
Because they think that when you have your head on the ground it makes you uncomfortable. Or gives you pain.
Or honest answer, just because they are stupid.

I feel bad for her, but she brought this on herself.

u/SeparateDifference47 Sep 16 '26
Nah a metal pole is crazy could handle a 130 pound Asian girl, probably would crushed 200 pound man doing shaq dunk.

That was unexpected. I thought the hoop would collapse with her bouncing on it, not the whole damn pole snapping off at the base.
Stupid stunt either way, hopefully it's not life changing for her.

Hate to be that guy, but this is still evidence of the corruption in the Philippines. Basketball rings shouldn’t be that weak. I’m sure the project funds they used got cut because they had to pay some officials.

Why didn't anyone stop her
2
u/atomic_chippie Sep 17 '26
Because shes a grown adult and just experienced the natural consequences of her actions
1
u/lost_caus_e Sep 17 '26
Your not wrong but wouldn't it be easier not letting the inebriated climb things and damage property. Also don't want someone getting seriously injured when we're trying to have a good time

u/NeoDoUrden Sep 16 '26
I love how people fold her neck to make sure that she'll have a spinal injury
