Nostalgia The ball I played with as a child, among other things, is still kept by my aunt as a memory 😭πŸ₯Ή

I visited my home town after about 10 years, I was born here and was raised in a joint family, slowly all of us (cousins and their parents) separated because of studies and careers.

Only the eldest uncle and aunt stayed (I call them mummy/papa, btw), they didn't/don't want to leave the place, so they spend most of the time here but occasionally visits us throughout the year.

Now after about 10 years, I decided to visit them in the home town, I never had the opportunity and enough break to come back and as they usually come visit us so there was no reason to return.

Now, I was just looking for something and found this ball, and it turns out most of the toys were kept for long before they were donated, but they kept this ball, they couldn't let go, I even found my geometry box and it still had some pen and pencils that I used.

These things are probably about 15 years old, I got really emotional seeing this, not sure how to react, now I don't want to go back. πŸ™ƒ

Friends treats me as Asset

Friends only reach out when they need money. Feeling used. (M22)

I'm 22M and I started trading very early. It's gone well, and I've reached a good place financially. But somewhere along the way I lost a lot of friends.

I've spent so much time with these two school friends (screenshots attached). They were my close friends. But I realised they only message or call me when they need money. Earlier I used to give it whenever they asked. Eventually I noticed that's all they want. They never ask how I'm doing, whether I'm okay, or even just talk.

Most of my other friends were the same, so I blocked them or removed them from my contacts. These two hurt the most because we were actually close once.

It's a lonely feeling when people only see you as a bank account and not as a person.

A bit about me outside of trading: I'm a football player and have played at state level 4 times and zonal level 2 times. I'm also a big cinephile and an anime fan, and I've watched the Big 3 (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach).

I'm posting this hoping to find some real friends here. If you're into football, movies, anime, trading, or just want to talk about life, my DMs are open.

Story Time Met with an accident, broke new bike, trying to wrap up what happened 😭😭

Gadi puja karke, pandal hopping karke ghar laut raha tha… Ek young ladka, probably 16–17, other state vehicle regd, pura full speed me at 80+ km/h, completely out of control and bena helmet ke ake thok diya 😭😭

Lucky mera jada kuch nahi hua, but new bike fcuked up. Apna salary se liya tha like 2 3 months back πŸ₯€

Gear lever is gone, stuck in 2nd gear. Aur few minor scratches.

Local people asked to file an FIR, but idk, just felt bad for the kid. Me bhi kabhi young tha, aur mene bhi kafi bakchodi kiya hai and I know one stupid decision can have consequences you never imagined. So decided not to file the fir.

I'm still trying to process what happened. I'm home now, putting on my comfort movie and trying to wrap my head around the whole thing with a glass of whiskey. I'm drinking for the very first time in my entire life all alone πŸ₯²

Relationship & Advice He Told Me His First Love Was the Only Girl He Ever Truly Loved, and Now I Feel Like I'm Just an Option in His Life

I really need some honest advice because I don't know if I'm overthinking this or if my feelings are justified. I'm going to use a fake name for my boyfriend and call him Rahul.

Rahul and I are in a long-distance relationship. He lives in Mumbai, and I live in Delhi.

He proposed to me on Instagram around four years ago. However, I never took it seriously because we had never met in person, and I always assumed it was probably a joke or that he wasn't serious about me. Despite that, he put in a lot of effort to get my attention and impress me. He would post stories for me, call and message me, flirt with me, show me care, and make sure he was the first person to wish me on my birthday. He consistently tried to make me feel special, but I still couldn't bring myself to trust that his feelings were genuine.

Things started changing around December 2025, when I began talking to him more seriously. We finally met in person for the first time in January 2026, and that's when I started developing feelings for him. And honestly, I fell deeply in love with him.

For the first time in my life, I felt like I had found someone who loved me even more than I loved myself. I was genuinely happy. I started believing that maybe I had finally found someone who would love me in the way I had always wanted to be loved. He had previously told me that he had three ex-girlfriends, but that never bothered me. Everyone has a past, and I never felt the need to ask for unnecessary details about his previous relationships. I didn't want to judge him for anything that had happened before me.

However, after some time, he started sharing details about his past on his own, without me even asking.

That's when he told me about his first love.

She was a girl from his school days. They were never actually in a relationship; they were friends, but he developed extremely intense feelings for her and considered her his first love.

The way he described his feelings for her genuinely broke something inside me.

He told me how deeply he had loved her, how he was willing to do absolutely anything for her, and how much he had cried over her. He said he had never cried that much for anyone and would never cry that much for anyone else again. He wanted her to be his girlfriend, but she eventually ended up with someone else.

He told me that the kind of true love he experienced was only with her, and that he had never felt the same way about anyone else since then, including the girlfriends he had after her.

And then he said something that I still cannot get out of my head.

He said that after her, there was me, but he was still seeing how things would go in the future.

I was honestly shocked.I kept thinking to myself: What do you mean you're still seeing how things go with me? You spent four years pursuing me, trying to impress me, calling me, messaging me, and making me believe that you genuinely wanted me. Was all of that just a phase for you? If you still believe that the only person you ever truly loved was someone else, why did you pursue me for so long?

I didn't say any of this to him. I was too shocked and hurt to explain what was going through my mind.

But there was more.

He told me that he still has pictures of that girl on his phone. He still looks at those pictures, and whenever he does, his heart starts beating faster. He said he still hasn't forgotten her and probably never will.

I understand that people cannot simply erase their first love from their memories. I understand that someone can have a past that remains meaningful to them. I'm not expecting him to pretend that she never existed.

But hearing him describe those feelings in such detail made me feel like I wasn't even his girlfriend. It felt as though I was sitting there listening to him talk about the person he truly loved, while I was just someone who happened to come into his life afterward.

And the worst part is that this wasn't a one-time conversation.

Even afterward, he continued sharing his feelings about that girl with me. He still talks about her and the emotions he associates with her, but he has never expressed that same depth of love toward me.Whenever he used to express his feelings for me, he would say that he was starting to feel something with me that reminded him a little of what he had felt for his first love. In other words, he would say that some of those feelings were happening again, to a certain extent, with me. But he never actually told me that he truly loved me. And now that we're in a relationship, I've realised that he hasn't even said "I love you" to me.

I know this might sound silly to some people. Maybe I'm expecting too much, or maybe I'm reading too deeply into his words. But I cannot explain how much these conversations have affected me.

Ever since he told me all of this, I haven't been able to feel the same way about him.

Whenever he behaves strangely with me, becomes distant, or does something that hurts me, my mind immediately goes back to his first love. I start thinking that if he had loved me the way he claims to have loved her, perhaps he wouldn't treat me this way. Maybe he would be more careful with my feelings. Maybe I wouldn't constantly be questioning my place in his life.

We're in a long-distance relationship, and we have only met twice in person so far. Meanwhile, that girl lives close to his house.

Sometimes I get scared that if they ever start talking again, he could easily leave me for her. I know that this is a fear, not something I know will happen, but I cannot stop thinking about it.

What hurts even more is that I have never told him how deeply his words have affected me.

I'm afraid that if I tell him, he'll respond by saying that he won't share anything about his past with me anymore. I don't want him to feel like he has to hide things from me or that he cannot be honest with me. I want him to feel comfortable sharing things with me, but I also wish he understood that I'm a human being with feelings, too.I don't want to compete with his past. I don't want him to forget his first love, and I don't want to force him to love me in a particular way. I just want to feel genuinely loved and wanted in my own relationship.

And I think there's another reason why all of this hurts me so much.

Throughout my life, I have never really felt like I was the person someone loved the most. Not among my friends, relatives, cousins, or even my parents. I have often felt like I was never anyone's first choice in that way. I know love can exist in different forms, and I'm not saying that nobody cares about me, but I've never really experienced the feeling of being someone's special person.

When Rahul came into my life, I thought maybe things would finally be different. After pursuing me for four years, I genuinely believed that I had found someone who would choose me wholeheartedly.

But now, instead of feeling secure and happy, I feel like I'm just an option he is willing to explore after the person he actually wanted didn't choose him.

I don't know if that's genuinely how he sees me, but that's how his words have made me feel.

I love him so much, and that's what makes this so difficult. I cannot simply switch off my feelings for him, but I also cannot seem to get rid of this insecurity anymore. I don't feel as happy as I used to, and I keep wondering whether I'm building an emotional attachment to someone who may never love me with the same intensity.I just wanted to love someone and feel loved in return, without constantly wondering whether I'm truly the person they want.
