Why did you choose Ido?
Hi. I know why Idists prefer Ido over Esperanto. Some traits of Esperanto has been criticized since the very beginning. I think I can get why you prefer Ido over Interlingua. Interlingua doesn't has strict rules of word formation. It has a lot of synonymous prefixes and suffixes. It's relatively irregular.
But why did you chose Ido over Occidental? Occidental was pretty successful in its hayday. It has very natural look, unlike Esperanto. While it still has many synonymous prefixes and suffixes it at least has the rule of de Wahl. It's probably more regular than Interlingua.
Let me ask then: why did you choose Ido over other conlangs, in particular, Occidental?
Pic for attention.
