Instagram post of a poppy walkway for Remembrance Day in Canada. Some dude wrote, 'Better than a rainbow walkway.' I simply wrote, 'Well, tens of thousands of gay Canadians died without ever being accepted for who they were, and my grandfather's World War II vet best friend was gay and he didn't give a shit, so why do you, lol?' The guy didn't like that, so he started calling me all types of shit. I was like, buddy, look who's talking.
