Question Is it possible to intercept/read an Email?

Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask because i feel like i'm out of options. If it's not i'd appreaciate it if someone could show me where to look fo help.

I have a problem regarding an account where i want to change my Email adress from an old one, which i do not longer have acess to, to my current one. However there seems to be no way to show proof of ownership to the support except with email... (which is stupid)

Now out of options i was thinking if it would be possible to get the verification code in the Email by other means?

It is a .gmail adress and the Email is still active after years.

Does anyone have any idea that could help me here? Maybe someone knows where i can look more into such stuff?

This is why you should always own your own domain. You can change the email provider at will and then do a recovery

In theory is fattible, in practice no.

Why you not haven't access? Normally can recover with sms or mail secondary.

Google wont let me :/
The instant i try to reset or recover the email they hit me with a "You can’t recover your account at this time because Google doesn’t have enough info to be sure that this account is yours."
Afaik they dont even have a live support or tickets so no way for me to contact them directly...

You need 2 factors to recover an account.

My guess you only have one set.

Practically impossible. Try to regain access to the old email or provide proof of ownership another way if the support allows it; e.g. payment method, linked accounts, identity documents.

I've tried many different approaches but their support is stubborn as hell and i dont get why.
An getting my google acc back is one other hell of an issue it seems.

It is a .gmail adress

Only the owner of the domain .gmail can then access and change this, they owm the server that holds the emails.

If you have your own domain this is easy, if you use a global giant corporation its hard to talk to an admin...

No, and stop using Gmail.

I would head over to a tech support or google sub, they might have additional guidance on getting onto Google support.

There is essentially no way to hack into your account, if there was Gmail would not exist. But as others have said. This is why lots of people use their own domain name etc.
