Discussion Montreal Has Blown 100% of Their Leads in October So Far

I think we all know that we're struggling holding leads lately, but I took a look back through our record in October and it's startling.

So far this month Montreal has held the lead 9 separate times, and in all 9 instances the opposition has went on to tie the game. This has been an issue for the last few years now and I'm not sure what the solution is. But it's alarming that any team could manage to blow every single lead they've held in a month.

Discussion Most Underrated Hab

Alexandre Texier

Never see anyone talking about Texier and anything I do see always talk about him negatively (for whatever reason). Texier deserves a lot more respect. Although not the fastest skater he has excellent vision/hockey iq, uses his body very effectively to protect the puck, and he has nasty hands. Easily the most underrated hab hope he sticks around.

Thoughts?

Discussion Played good most of the game but allowed few bad penalties to

Another one where we played really good most of the game, had great chances but lost it on stupid penalties and few bad plays but such is the game of hockey. Not worried because playing well like they do right now eventually turns into results.

Feels like exact opposite of the last season which had a lot of: slow starts, average games, bad 1st/2nd periods and amazing (often lucky) comebacks in third and winning very often with less shots than the other team.

Discussion Immaturity and lack of discipline!

Hutson trying to force the play, near the blue line when the Habs were in control and up by two in the third, completely unnecessary!
Xhekaj trying to mix it up with Kesserling when MTL is up by one late in the third, completely unnecessary!
I get why Dobes stuck his arm out (Hutson/Suzuki/Caufield had been out there for far too long in OT, he was trying to buy them some time) but again, completely unnecessary! lol

The Habs have had the lead in each of the 9 games so far this season. They led NSH 2-0, BUF 3-1 twice, and SJ 3-1. This is almost surreal and laughable!

Just spitballin’ here…at what point does Danault, Anderson, Kreider and co. (i.e. the vets/respect your elders) talk some sense into these ‘ kids ‘?
