That’s such a cool comparison! I really love that simple, expressive kind of animation aesthetic. It’s a shame Hatena is gone — it seems like it was such a special little place for animators back then. ✨

Let it be a light for you in dark places, when all other lights go out.

Hahaha, *Lord of the Rings* here! Cool!!
That reference fits this little star almost too perfectly. I love it ✦

I tried something a little more dynamic with this one than I usually do.
It was challenging, but really fun to animate.

This is great. O love this style. Reminds me of old EZToon animations.

Eztoons is nostalgic for me too. So I'm glad it reminds you of that as well.

Reminds me of an old friend I knew. She had a way of making a room shine like the night sky

I'm glad you're going to take care of that star; I hope it helps you when you need it!

Haha, I can actually see that! I hadn’t made that connection before, but that’s such a cool comparison 😄 I’ve always thought the N64 Paper Mario aesthetic was really beautiful too.

Yeah this reminded of her interlude chapters, the little star Twink who hangs out with her, and she also sends mario the lucky star which looks like a star pendant
