First up is a KiKi themed journal which I bought at my local Barnes & Noble. It has little sketches of KiKi on the sides of some pages which I plan to try coloring. It has different segments where each bundle of pages is a different color, an extremely light shade naturally. In between segments is 2 pages with artwork of Ghibli’s number 1 witch. But it’s a hardcover journal, the kind that’ll force the whole thing closed. You have to actively press your hand on it. But that’s a minor inconvenience. 9/10
I got everything else on eBay
Next is a rubber keychain decoration of her with some flowers. It’s a great decoration for the shelf which holds my physical media collection. I just hope it doesn’t expand to the point where I have to shift it when getting a case. That’d be a bit of a pain. 9.9/10
After that we have a 0.5 mechanical pencil which rotates as it’s used so as to sharpen the lead. It also has a rubber ring close to the tip & grooves above it to help the user maintain their grip. It also has a drawing inside it based on the picture of KiKi from the thumbnail of the movie that appears when you pull it up on HBO Max. Underneath it is what I presume is the Japanese pronunciation of Guchokipanya written in english. They’re not stickers so they wont be worn out & they can’t get wet. It even has “KiKi’s Delivery Service” written on the clip. I kinda wish the eraser didn’t have a lid or at least came with replacements. 9.9/10
Last but not least is a PVC collectable figure. I’m glad to have it but I wouldn’t say it matches KiKi’s insurmountable cuteness. The pictures misled me. They clearly used pictures of the prototype for the packaging. I was really looking forward to it because I actually thought it would come as close as possible to matching KiKi’s beauty but that would’ve made it a 10/10 purchase & life was having none of it. But there’s more. There's a smidge of pink paint on the edge of the lip, the band holding the bow is pink not red like in the pictures. I was made a victim of false advertising. It’s still a great addition to the collection though. It’s not ugly it’s just not KiKi levels of adorable like the pictures led me to believe, it does come close though. 8/10

I’m pretty new to Ghibli films and Porco Rosso is only my second Ghibli film (my first being Howl’s Moving Castle) and I absolutely adored it.
This seriously is now one of my favorite animated films of all time. I think the cool and sort of cold or reserved persona of Porco stuck out to me and made me gravitate towards him.
The themes of fighting fascism, war making you a pig, and the identity crisis (to a degree) that Porco deals with is extraordinary!
Not to mention the beautiful visuals, the stunning character animation, the cinematography, and the score are just incredible!

We continue with Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro as our hero meets Clarisse, receives a mysterious ring, and embarks upon the adventure of sneaking into the castle for its many rewards.

For me personally:
I’d leave it alone, I’m not wanting to see a stampede of Ohm heading straight for my kingdom.
I’ll play it smart and leave the jungle alone, besides, if I were to burn the toxic jungle… there would be a lot of toxic fumes flying through the air, and like I said a stampede of Ohm heading straight for my kingdom

Hello fellow Ghibli lovers!
I was wondering if anyone has seen this item anywhere?
I purchased it from Amazon and every month they told me it was coming within a week. Then finally after 6 months are so, they canceled my order. I’ve been looking for it ever since.
It’s been a year since we completed a gorgeous 1000 piece crystal puzzle and would really love to have the proper frame to hang it up. Once it’s framed I’d love to make a post to share it with everyone!
Thank you so much!

I watched Ponyo for the first time as a young man finishing college. I was a bit adrift, worried about my career, my responsibilities, and more than a little lonely from failed relationships.
Then I saw Granmamare’s scene with Fujimoto. He ranted and fussed about the balance of world and the dangers coming. And she just smiled. Then with just a touch you saw his tension start melting. His worries subsiding. You watched the weight leave his shoulders. She told him to take a chance on those innocent kids and trust things will be all right in the end. And he listened.
I tried to make sure my baby sis didn’t notice me crying. I was a workaholic, I felt I had to fix everything around me and keep something terrible from happening. And it felt like someone finally, gently, told me I could take a moment to breathe. That I was allowed to let down my guard. I thought to myself, “That’s my goal. That’s what I want in a partner. And maybe someone like her is out there looking for me.”
Years later and I’m still a workaholic. I still worry and take on too many things. But I also learned that things can be all right in the end. The love of my life helped teach me that. And each day I have the privilege of the calm she brings me, no matter what the world throws at us. Even if our son seems to share Ponyo’s love of rebellion 😂

I paint a lot of Ghibli studies and usually post them on here. Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki are one of my greatest inspirations for my art, I feel like I wouldn’t be where I am now without them.
This past week I made it to Japan and Ghibli Park. Words cannot describe my experience. I am so happy and so blessed! I genuinely felt like I was in some of the movies, ESPECIALLY the Howl’s Moving Castle set!!!

I'm doing Inktober this year (as well as last year) and the theme of yesterday was "Contraption", and of course my first thought was the moving castle!
I actually had so much fun with this artwork, it was challening but in a good way, and I got to understand the Ghibli style a bit more.
What do you guys think?
