Discussion I AM SO FED UP WITH THE IPHONE CAMERA
Posted also in the r/iPhone sub but it’s probably more relighted
I literally only use the snap chat camera (yes I know it makes the picture worse) because iPhones is so awful to use.
I can’t tell you how many concerts my camera has accidentally switched settings (that I never use) and then in the middle of the concert the one time I want to take a pic, my phone is all fucked up with settings that won’t just take the damn picture!!
How many cat photos I miss because this stupid setting magically coming on and WHY DO I HAVE TO PRESS THE FLASH THREE TIMES TO TURN FLASH ON it’s so fucking stupid and taking videos is just a chore with it too, like why do I need two hands to zoom in and all the stupid photo settings you swipe through I wish you could turn them off, when I’m trying to be quick with my camera the iPhone becomes deliberately against me.
Plus the keyboard??? Why do I even have an Apple phone
Edit: like I get people want cool camera stuff but for the rest of us who just want a simple camera why can’t I be able to hide all those features!

I agree. Why do you even have an Apple phone?

You should look into Motorola G phones or Google Pixel if you want clean quick pictures without cluttered apps. Samsung makes really good all-around phones in the Galaxy series, but then you start getting into the too many camera options thing again.

The razor vertical flip looked really awesome to me, your opinion on that?

I can't say that I do. The key is to figure out what you like and then find options that fit those needs. In my computer systems certification courses the teacher taught us the most important skill in diagnosing things, and it actually comes in handy for almost anything I'm doing, it is how to ask the right questions when researching something. Sometimes when I'm trying to figure something out I don't know the term for something, so I look that up separately before doing a search. Then I can phrase my initial search better and get results that are closer to what I want. I also look for reputable review sites or sources. And if you like something, look at what issues people have had from negative reviews and see if that is a very common thing or not.

User error.

The whole point of Apple was to simplify and be super user friendly so non-power users could easily use a computer. So as an Apple fan you should be on the OPs side.

If I remember correctly isn't there a setting that remembers the last camera setting you made?
