Venting Men are never lonely enough

I have a friend who is in a kind of situationship with a guy. A week ago, I saw a post about a femicide. The girl was just 18 and got brutally murdered by her ex boyfriend. I got so sad when I first saw that. Now, about the post. In the comments there was this guy, my friends situationship saying some shit like she should’ve been careful who she’s hanging out with and this is what she “got in return”. The fuck?? She deserved to be murdered just because she got together with a psycho without knowing? I met this this guy and he seemed like a normal person, I could never imagine him commenting shit like that.

I got screen shots of the comment and the post, sent it to my friend. She was so surprised and angry at first. Then I asked her if she will confront him about it, she said she will. She never did. And they are still talking normally. She still says that he is a nice guy too. It makes me sick to my stomach.

These people needs to hold accountability. Yet, they never do. I want all men who acts like this to get lonely. But looks like they never will.

My ex cheated on me and has not been single for more than a week since we broke up. He now preys on older vulnerable woman who are scared to be alone and let him "get away" with cheating.

Oh Im definitely doing that once the lease on our apartment is over. Everything is arranged so Im not blocking till he gives me the deposit back. He volunteered this information to me a few weeks ago when we were arranging the apartment, I usually tell him I'm not interested but it was pretty good to hear that his life went to shit. Im not going to listen to anymore of his updates though.

They always pretend to be normal people, but they aren't. But take his advice: don't interact with males whatsoever, if you want to live, because it's all males.

Your friend is a lost cause, she will probably end up like that 18 year old girl. Maybe you should tell her that and wish her good luck.

Make males and pick-me's lonelier.

I hear a lot of other women say that the best tell is to say "no" to something relatively benign and watch their reaction.

I guess I don't know how I'd expect a good/average/bad man to react to calling him a pedophile though. I think I would hope for acknowledgement of systemic sexual violence carried out by men, but I would also hope that he has enough self-respect to push back against being called that.

Right, I completely agree that it's really important to see a man's true colors when he reacts to something. I guess I'm just not sure where the conversation is supposed to go after telling him that all men are pedophiles or calling him a piece of shit.

Like an angry reaction or blow-up is obviously an instant deal-breaker/block, and I'm obviously not going to just take someone at their word that they're "safe" without substantial evidence, but at the same time I also wouldn't want them to just take a personal insult or agree that all men are pedos without asking me more about where I'm coming from and being open to truly listening to me. I'd be worried that a guy who doesn't have some (appropriate) objection to/questions about purposefully inflamatory statements would either be agreeing to whatever I say just to get laid or wouldn't have enough emotional intelligence/self-respect to be worth my time.

I think see what you're saying now, thanks for clarifying!

I guess I just have trouble envisioning an emotionally intelligent man with self-respect wanting to pursue any sort of relationship with someone who calls him a piece of shit, even if he handles the interaction gracefully. I feel like I'm missing something here.

Like, say I call him a POS as a test and he handles it well and listens to me without having a whiny attitude and the rest of the conversation goes well, but after the talk/meeting/date/whatever he says that he doesn't want a relationship that involves verbal abuse or name-calling. To me personally, I think that would be the best response to saying what I said, but by that point the damage has already been done. It just seems like that approach would weed out every man except for the ones with no self respect or the liars.

If he says it's verbal abuse or name calling, just let him go. He's not emotionally intelligent and he doesn't respect either himself or you, he's just looking to play a victim.

OK, but calling someone a piece of shit is verbal abuse and name-calling. It feels a lot different to me than gracefully handling the heat of being disagreed with or challenged.

If some dude on a date called me a piece of shit, I'm not even letting him finish the sentence before I walk out, because I am emotionally intelligent and know that I am not deserving of abuse. I don't think that makes me looking to play the victim, and I don't know why an emotionally-intelligent man would be any different in that regard.

Idk I think the only men who would be smitten by being talked to like that are the ones who feel like they just found a sparring partner; someone they can be verbally abusive back to.

A "nice guy" is not the same as a good man.

And all of the “good men” I’ve known have ended up being just as bad if not worse honestly. I’ve met 2 that I would have bet nearly anything they were actually good but given enough time they both showed they weren’t.

Guys like this are only nice when they wanna get laid. He’s probably not even that nice she’s just coping. He’s def having sex with other people and exposing her to god knows what. Someone else on here said it but being picked by a man is not a prize. Pick yourself you the prize. At this point is there any benefit to casual sex with a man?

u/berryish0 Wrongs Supporter 10h ago

we are really young and they don't have sex. but i'm sure he is only using her for attention. well, she does the same but it would make me throw up talking to a person who is sick in the head

This happened to me with my old bff I grew up with. He was so mean to me too because I saw past his facade. I roasted him one day in front of our entire French class and he got mad and ran out of the room. It was glorious.

it's important to remember, our sisters have been brainwashed so deeply it's in their genetics at this point.

I personally will not maintain a friendship with an enabler, but I have a lot of empathy for our sisters who are still under the spell.

it will get better.

but this oppressive regime has been in charge for millennia. change takes time.

you did your due diligence, you showed her. but only she can work through the brainwashing for herself. save a space in your heart for the girls who haven't made it out yet.

This guy sees himself as an overlooked prize for not becoming violent. And a woman who would rather date a psycho than someone like him? Well, she has it coming. Total loser creep mentality. And of course, the usual quiet part - that men feel entitled to women and they must deny part of themselves to not rape and murder, and women therefore owe them for their restraint

THIS! My mentally/emotionally abusive husband (EDIT: ex-husband) used to tell me all the time what a good guy he was because he didn’t beat me. They truly think that’s what makes them a great catch. 🤢🤮🤮🤮

Oh, if only it was so easy. Do they know everyone has some "danger!" text above their heads like in a game or what? You can't always tell so easily.

Besides, women are often hearing they are overreacting, they are taught certain behaviours are actually signs of love and not things to avoid, or that they were somehow responsible for what happened... it's really impossible to navigate that and for some reason, whatever you do, you are still blamed for it somehow.

u/Gremlinofpeace 8h ago

That’s disgusting behavior and shows their true thoughts on women. Also, I’m done being friends with women who chose to be ignorant and naive. My co worker is in her 30’s and multiple times has excused gross behavior by men and I’ve started distancing myself towards her. It is honestly super depressing tbh.

Dumbasses will exist until the end of time. Don’t let these guys who can’t think outside their thick skulls bother you

u/Big-Piece5957 8h ago

Right? There is always some girl that will. More women are waking up but not enough. Men need to get their own island away from civilization. They ruin everything and everyone. Sick of those things (“men”).

2

u/Huntressesmark 6h ago

Women have to dedicate themselves to being less fucking pathetic. Men will go as low as the collective allows them to. Some woman fucking married Chris Watts after he mangled his own kids and drowned them in an oil vat. Women's drive for debasement is just as bad as men's depravity. The two hold hands.

Unfortunately a lot of people put their head in the sand when confronted with this kind of thing. It’s easier to rug sweep and rationalize than it is to be confrontational or to be alone.

Let’s get confrontational, damnit!
