Support Cannot import Keep (all options selected correctly)

So, I have read other similar threads, but I cannot seem to solve this issue, which is to start a new game with my selected world state.

My process was this (after failing to import):

- Quit game, checked that the account on my EA app and my DAkeep webpage were the same, and opened the keep page in my default browser (and quit EA app);

- Modified something in my world state on the keep, locked it;

- Clicked on "need to export to DAI" and then scrolled down to click on the big button "Export to DA inquisition", then selected "Yes, continue!" at the confirmation pop up. And I can confirm the "Export to DA Inquisition" button is now gone, and I can see the:

- I opened the EA app again and the game again (and let it connect to the servers);

- Checked that the account options were all selected;

- Started a new game, I do not see any pop up asking me if I want the keep world status, and I can only confirm the custom world status which immediately starts the game

I really don't understand what I am doing wrong, my internet connection also works fine...

Discussion Dragon Age Audiobooks

Hi all, I've been replaying Inquisition and am really keen to listen to the audiobooks while killing promoted bears in the Hinterlands. Unfortunately they don't seem to be available on Audible or other reputable sources. I'm in the UK but have tried VPN in the US to no avail, so I think they're unavailable everywhere right now?

Does anyone have any insight on this? Or can you point me in the right direction to find them? Does anyone know when they'll be available to purchase again? I'm at my wit's end here.

Fanworks Random Dorian Post

I recently came across this audio and just immediately had to think of Dorian. For some reason it just matched in my mind so I had to make this before I forgot about it. It's not my best work artistically, it was a little rushed, but I still like the final product. Might go back and do a properly colored version eventually though. Original audio by Lele Pons. Posted this on multiple platforms so feel free to say hi if you stumble across it elsewhere :)

Discussion Steam/EA Avaliablity?

Does anyone know if the shutdown means the Dragon Age/Mass Effect games will be removed for purchasing from Steam/EA? My computer needs to be replaced so I never bought the last few games and I don't know if I should go ahead and buy them anyway just in case.

Thinking about ideas for side effects for my Rook after what happened with solas

Dorian mentions with the situation with his father that the blood magic ritual could've destroyed his mind and the da meta's crossing villagers seems to back this What sort of effects do you think blood magic can have when used to alter someone's mind

(You can answer just one or both, with as many characters as you want. Pictures and character summaries are fine. Short answers or novel-length walls of text are fine.)

Prompt 1

Which companion did your OC completely misjudge when they first met?

Prompt 2

What is the most persistent rumour doing the rounds about your OC? Is it grounded in (some) truth?

Bonus

Write your OC’s epilogue slide as the game would write it, then the one they’d write about themselves.

And don't forget to take the time to read and comment on other people's posts! The comments, questions and chats are what make the thread so much fun.

Support Deep Roads bug

I'm currently going through the deep roads post game and have got to the section where you have to fight through the Sha-Brytol during "The Way Forward." The issue I'm having is that whenever the first enemy spawns, I'm kicked back to the main menu and told that I've lost my connection to the session. I'm ~120 hours into this playthrough and have never even once had this happen prior but it's happening consistently without fail during this specific part. For reference I'm playing on my ps5 so I highly doubt it's a hardware issue.

I saw a Reddit user share their Dragon Age collection, and it made me want to do the same.

I am French, so I have some items in that language. 🫔

Discussion Let’s talk dragon age.

Dragon age veilguard to be specific. (Completed 2 full play through s)

Firstly, I actually loved the music, the absolutely stunning views and different areas we got to travel through.
Some character arcs weren’t bad.
Not a ridiculous amount of fetch quests either.
Going further into lore was awesome
Solas and varric, amazing voice acting.

What I didn’t like was
- the AI generated dialogues and how some things seem absolutely forced.
- most of the Armour )
- none of my choices mattered
- a lot of the voice acting felt like it was just voice acting, as an rpg game. I want to immerse myself into the world.

In dragon ages past, we had so many choices, we could be a villain or a hero, good and bad decisions both had consequences.
You had to work for certain romances or be a certain gender.
The party would react then and there if they didn’t like your choices or blow up at you back at camp.

Your party felt like real people.

It mattered what you said, did or would agree to, mattered what gender or race you were. Party members would either back you, leave you, or just be dead. Just all those things that added to the realism. Being looked down on for being an elf? Then saving all of demerim, that was awesome.

In my first play-through ever of dragon age origins. I didn’t go to lothering. That choice cost me two party members which I hadn’t realised until I was on my 3rd area googling where the other party members were.

There was also more in your face darkness, blood and gore.

How many people change from female character to male with inquisition just to be with Dorian. How many people played the long game to be with fenris?
You could be queen with Alistair only if you were a noble.

( what changes or hopes would you want if they do another instalment)??

Discussion Dragon Age Game Research

Hey guys. I could use some help with my thesis when y'all get a second. I'm studying why so many people don't complete the story in open world games. I've got my Qualtrics set up. My thesis is on self-efficacy in open world narrative games. Basically if you think you're gonna enjoy and story and understand it will your complete it. Is it worth your time? No wrong answers. Anyways here's the links.

If ya want to help a poor master's student get some data, I'd appreciate it.

Discussion Old God Soul, Flemeth's fate, & Solas' choice

Looking for some broader insight and other perspectives from others headcannons. So the choice of the Ritual and the Old God Baby Kieran is something for me that I'm looking to expand upon for my own head cannon. Obviously given the two sets of circumstances based on prior game choice, Flemeth/Mythal is killed and their power is absorbed by Solas at the end of Inquisition.

That power to me and my understanding is either just the power Mythal has amassed all the years since her "death" and host swapping up to her possession of Flemeth, OR it's boosted by the soul of Urthemiel she takes from Kieran before Morrigan and the Inquisitior after the events of the Temple of Mythal and the Well of Sorrows. That being said, how do you headcannon that boost for Solas? Since Veilguard establishes that the Archdemons have some connection/correlation to the Evanuris, is he gaining both power from Mythal and the Evanuris associated with Urthemiel?

Reason being for my questioning for this is that I'm trying to novelize the story for my own enjoyment and I'm trying to bring greater importance for the Warden, Morrigan and Kieran inside of the events of Veilguard and I want to see how it would look on a larger scale for that power to be taken/subsumed into Solas.

I was recently going through the official cook book when I noticed this letter in the background of one of the recipes. Figured I'd share it for any fans that don't have the book themselves, not sure if it's been posted before.

It's on page 19, the Rivaini Couscous Salad.

Support Dragon Age Inquisition (PC) can't connect to servers

Post image
253 Upvotes

After finishing the Hinterlands, I noticed Liliana said that my warden died killing the archdemon which didn't happen. opening it in a save editor i noticed some flags were wrong. I tried to follow this guide but the new save still didnt have the updated world state. i saw a comment saying to uncheck all the sync settings in-game, exit, open the game and login again so it will rescan your dragon keep, but now it just cant connect at all.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I do not want to go through every single flag in save editor to match dragon keep for the first two games

Discussion Appreciation Post and DAO - The ultimate DLC checklist?

This is my second time completing the game, first time I will ever complete the whole series. I only ever have completed DAO, and never Awakening, which pissed me off when I went to go play DA2. Anyway then I got sidetracked and haven't play any Dragon Age since.

My memory is bad, so this is like playing a new game for me. I have to say I'm simply blown away by the writing, love the music too. Not like riding a bike! I did this once before 5 years ago on Nightmare, but now I am getting my ass kicked and loving every minute of it. It really is its own style of RTWP, with games like BG2 and Pillars having their own styles as well

I have never completed all the DLC. So I'm basically looking for those who had an awesome experience, what order did you play the DLC? I see from others asking online its a bit of a complicated question. Just looking for someone who had a good experience that has a good recommendation on the order to play, as someone who has completed DAO exactly one time.

Discussion Replaying Inquisition and just gave Storvacker the full pun treatment. What's your most ridiculous Dragon Age moment? Spoiler

Post image
128 Upvotes

I'm replaying Inquisition, and judging Storvacker the bear in the DLC might be one of my favorite moments. You can unload an endless stream of bear puns, and Cassandra and Svarah react to every single one. It's wonderful lol.

What's the most ridiculous moment or line you've come across in the series?

Discussion Justice/Vengeance vs. Spite

Okay I wanted some clarity because there’s something I’ve never understood.

Why does anyone like Spite????

Like that’s a demon… is there something I’ve missed or a continuity error? Because justice/vengeance was not a character to like after he merged with Anders. And that’s saying something, because we know that Justice WAS a spirit when he merged with Anders, whereas Spite has always been a demon (as far as we’ve seen).

So why do people act like Spite is some kind of silly puppy? Like omg let’s make sure he has something to do while we have our romantic moments! Give him a treat!

Every other demon in the games is terrifying and evil. Why is it barely corrupting Lucanis as a person, except for a few moments where it seems to be ā€œin controlā€? Because yes, the same thing happened to Anders. But it also corrupted his motivations and personality outside of those moments.

Discussion Anyone knows if there have been attempts, or if there's currently one being done, on reviving DA:Heroes servers?

Just curious because most mobile games of that genre get revived by the fans who recover the files somehow. Also I saw there are revivals of MAA and TWD:RTS so never say never I guess?

PD: I meant DA: Heroes of Dragon Age.

Discussion Dragon Age origins on PC

I haven’t played the first game in years and never finished it. I was looking to pick it up on Steam but saw a bunch of reviews that it struggle to boot and has performance issues.

Is this accurate? I’d love to play this game and see it through but don’t want to run into a technical mess trying to get it to run.
