I have the same problem in the lower city of Taris.
It's the Steam version.

Even if you find it unintentionally funny
I remember when I was a little kid, walking into my dad's office when he was on his computer playing a game. It was Knights of the Old Republic. I was amazed by what was happening, and eventually he let me play it on my own time.
I sucked at it, to be frank; I had no idea what I was doing and couldn't make it past the point where you save Zallbaar.
But I was patient. I got older and found a guide, and eventually I beat the game for the first time. And then I kept playing it, over and over and over again. As I got older, I learned to experiment and try other options for playthroughs.
KOTOR ignited my love of RPGs. It encouraged me to try out other BioWare titles like Dragon Age and Mass Effect and other RPG titles like Fire Emblem Awakening and Skyrim. And it also led me to try out stuff like Dungeons and Dragons.
KOTOR helped shape my identity as a game; for a long time it held the spot as my favorite game ever, and it was only eclipsed by Dragon Age Origins after I played that. I'll always be grateful for what it's done for me.
Thanks, BioWare...thanks for the game.
Thanks for inspiring a love of RPGs inside me.
With the BioWare announcement I brought these up in conversation today so I'm showing them off.

For whatever reason I canāt load manual saves, only auto. Iāve tried everything- Iāve set it to run on the windows xp packs, given the game admin privileges, messed around with settings, still nothing. Does anyone have a fix?

I can't imagine playing without lightsabers (especially in the first game), it's so much fun; using the lightsaber is way more fun than blasters. I understand people who play with other types of swords, but come on, wouldn't it have been easier to just play with the saber?

I know I know, Iām not playing āoptimally.ā This is my first time replaying in probably 10 years, and wow is this still an absolute gem. Still feel every emotion that everyoneās first playthrough gives.
Especially treating them now as RPGās instead of do whateverās, Iām having a way easier and greater time with this and its sequel.
When done well, Iāve always loved the sandbox that these games are. Much like the dark souls franchise, I can do any absurd thing I want, and still be able to beat the game. The imagination is in fact the only limitation.
Iām so glad so many still adore this game, and give it its due praises.
Especially with varied real world events today. This game gives you a sense of being able to take immediate stands against lifelike injustices. Itās so fascinating that BioWare was willing to give us something that would hit this hard, and give us the reigns to see good in it.
Edit: I did get enough affinity to switch over to Qel Droma robes, I was playing very gray this go around š

Itās about as good as it gets on Taris and Dantooine. Bleed some time on Kashyyyk to mistakes, Lehon to pixel perfect glitches that are hard, and a few seconds on Malak fight to rng.
May Gluupor and Gengi guide you!

I've gone back through the threads and seen a few comments around that I've agreed with but there's just something about KOTOR 2 that I love over KOTOR 1
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love KOTOR 1 and the story but I can't tell if its the mystery of KOTOR 2, the doom and gloomness to it but it always pulls me back in. I remember playing it as a child for the first time and even the simple act of getting through Peragus and being absolutely shit scared playing it at night sit fondly in my head.
The writing, Kreia and some of the planets, just a great vibe for me.
Any other KOTOR 2 fans out there that may lean a little more favourbly to the second game?

Out playing a show with my band, Ravager, and I decided to reprise my cosplay as Darth Nihlus like last year. The main difference being I upgraded the costume with a mesh underlay and gloves. I had to cut holes for my eyes and mouth so I can sing and play bass. The gloves don't have tips so I can play my bass easier. Rock on, and may the force be with you all.

So I've been playing kotor 2 for almost a decade now and I decided to do a Jedi counsular light side blaster build and I love how my muse AI told me that for single hand build a blaster rifle counts as a single handed weapon because it's not a weapon in each hand but 1 weapon with 2 hands on it. So I get no duel wielding attack penalty lmfao. Mind is blown!
Hi, everyone. Really reaching out with a shot in the dark request here.
Iām working on a particularly large KOTOR 2 mod, which adds a new planet. Itās not super far along but much of the story has been written.
Itās been a challenge to make sure it fits the themes of KOTOR 2, and one thing I realized I needed to make sure the planet fits those themes is companion involvement. Companions play a huge role in KOTOR 2, so it would be strange if they were just totally silent in this mod.
While Iāve had some luck scavenging vanilla game voice lines for a few companions, I realized what I really need is a lesson from Kreia. A fairly short dialogue, albeit full of long-winded Kreia lines.
Iād rather not use an AI tool as Plan A. So I thought Iād first at least try and cast someone here as a Kreia impersonator.
If anyone thinks they can replicate her iconic voice, or know someone who can, please either comment here or reach out to me on Discord! My username there is sao1138.

Obviously the battle of Malachor V was a major event in the original KOTOR games, and new canonās in-universe equivalent(?) of that event seems to be The Great Scourge of Malachor, which is referenced in Rebels and the Darth Maul comics.
This version of events seemingly differs from the use of the mass shadow generator as outlined in KOTOR 2, and the context seems different as well (it is a major battle between an army of Jedi and an army of Sith rather than Jedi vs Mandalorians).
But that being said, it seems that the canon scourge of Malachor draws heavy inspiration from Malachor V in KOTOR to say the least. With FOTOR seemingly being canonās first foray into the Old Republic era (assuming the forthcoming KOTOR remakes donāt canonize the events of KOTOR for the new continuity), I wonder if FOTOR will be the piece of Star Wars media that delivers on depicting the details of this event, given that so far all we know about it is other pieces of media building up vague references to tease its significance.
I hope Iām not the only one who finds this possibility intriguing, haha.

I don't know why this is happening.
I have:
Installed the UniWS and followed the instructions.
Got the KotOR High Resolution Menus 1.5 and the HD UI Menu Pack 1.1 mods.
Changed my swkotor.ini resolution width and height to the exact numbers for my screen.
Gone to properties and changed the High DPI settings and checked the box for "Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: Application."
Gone to settings and changed the Scale and Layout to 100%
Activated Windowed mode and it does this in windowed mode as well.
I've tried all this and still it's giving me this issue with parts of the menu and the screen not being aligned.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
PS (I'll be going to bed since its pretty late and I've been trying for a few hours , so I won't be able to respond for a few hours, this was my last stop before I just give up on the resolution."
