**People's March in New Delhi**
**23, October 2026**
Dear Friends and Comrades,
On October 23rd, We will assemble near **Gurudwara, Bangla sahib at 1 PM**. From there we March towards Election Commission of India. It will be a Peaceful and disciplined march with National flags in hand. We will stop wherever Police stop us and hold a Peoples Parliament. Take a pledge to continue the struggle to restore democracy till the logical end. And we also pass the resolutions. Our protest will end with the National Anthem.
Farmers, Youth, Workers, Women, and all sections of people are requested to participate in big numbers along with National flags.

There have been many protests against pollution and for the environment. They are met with brutal repression. Even last year, the Government did not let the people protest, and instead manipulated the readings.
It was just a handful of people protesting. I remember I couldn't go cos I was feeling sick.(Probably due to the pollution). I remember news about police harrasment. There's a discord for organizing the protest as well which I am a part of
These questions should be addressed to the legitimate government. Given all the issues and discrepancies in the election process, the government currently at the helm is likely not legitimate.
Fix them first before asking them to do their job. The only thing they are interested in is winning elections through any means necessary and holding on to power.

If the person leaves W.B 15 yr ago then then didn't you think its vote should be deleted from there if he is already has vote in another state
I know a lot of people in WB whose grandparents or relatives names got deleted from the list. They were natives of the state and had been voting since decades and yet, just before the elections, their names were just gone. Okay let's just accept your premise that all of the deleted voters were indeed dead, relocated or Bangladeshis; why is the list not transparent?
And why does the government have 2/3 voting power in the election of CEC despite supreme court's Anoop barnwal v Union of India ruling to curb executive interference in the process? Why does CEC get to have blanket judicial immunity? Why was that same ammendment passed with 140 MPs suspended? It doesnt take an Einstein to connect the dots together mate. Learn to look at this impartially and form your own inference. Im not saying that I'm the only one correct; i might be wrong but I believe what I believe because nobody has been able to discredit my skepticism. If you think you can, refute the points maybe with sources instead of just telling me to believe something at face value?
If you ever been in Bengal or Assam you will know how many Bangladeshis are here and everyone has adhar card and lands are occupied illegally by them, all thanks to tmc. I stay here so I know. Shame on you ppl who are against SIR. Shame on you.

How is SIR helping curb that?? Why can't courts put a hold on that?? Are there 13 crore illegal Bangladeshi's in India?? What are BJP's Home Ministers doing then from the last 12 years?? How are they entering the country in the first place??
There should be transperancy in a system which we can use to verify voter list because obviously we don't want people to be voting here when they are not Indian citizens and there should be valid reason which should be told to the people why they don't have voting rights.

Interesting question. Have you asked compensation from the Government which cancelled trains and metros, suspended internet, imposed Section 163 and harassed and assaulted common people?
Others are also facing issues because of SIR, some couldn't even excercise their democratic right to Vote because of it. Their name were excluded before election and later it was included.
That doesn't mean you can deprive other people's rights. SIR is a constitutional process, if someone has provided documents later on and name has been restored then what is the problem. What about so many duplicate names and illegal immigrants name deletion.
Even govt doesn't have data on how many illigal immigrants were excluded in the SIR. If you have the data on out of 13cr how many were illigals, do enlighten us.

Also SIR happened across India, almost 100% know that it was a bullcrap exercise that wasn't really needed, and literally nothing came out of it as ECI is conducting SSR now to include deleted voters.

SSR does the same thing. Also SIR was flawed as the ECI itself was biased. Lakhs of voters were disenfranchised, no illegal foreigner was caught. Sure buddy it was very much needed.

Indian democracy is in a very deep Crisis. The electoral process has been hijacked. The voter list has been manipulated. The above-the-law Election Commission, has been handpicked to unashamedly and singularly serve Modi - Shah.
Youth are on the streets. Many in prison. The time has come for us - We the People - to pour into the streets and say Stop the Attack on Our Democracy
On October 14th Organisations of Student, Youth, Kisan, Workers, Women, Dalit, Adivasi, Minorities, Disabled, Transgender etc., met to form a broad alliance under the banner of People Against SIR. They have called for a Peoples March on October 23 to restore democracy and create Jantar Mantar's all over the country.
Har hath me Tiranga and Har Gali me Jantar Mantar (In Every Hand the Tricolour and in Every Street a Jantar Mantar).
On behalf of all the Organisations which are part of "People Against SIR", We call upon People of this Country who see themselves as Patriots to rise to this Challenge. We can’t afford to wait any longer. Draw strength and take the initiative at your location. This is a Peoples Movement - we all need to be leaders of this movement. Create space for the youth. As the future belongs to the youth of this country we need to band together with them to create a Collective Strength to Regain Our Democracy.
We also call upon Political parties of INDIA bloc to join us and be part of the October 23rd Peoples March and give strength to Jantar Mantar protests all over the Country.
