Looking for referrals/suggestions for Agentic AI roles | 2.8 YOE | Pune/Remote

Hi everyone,

I'm a Full Stack AI Engineer at Accenture Strategy & Consulting with \\\~2.8 years of experience. I started in SAP FICO and moved into AI engineering last year.

\*\*What I do now:\*\*
Building a next-gen agentic platform for a CPG use case as one of the implementation engineers
Multi-agent workflows, LLM orchestration (LangChain/LangGraph), backend APIs, and database integrations
Shipping features end to end, from design through deployment
Side projects: an AI legal assistant (CLI + WhatsApp bot) and a multi-agent portfolio demo

\*\*Why I'm looking:\*\* My current compensation doesn't reflect what the market pays for this skill set at my experience level. I'm expecting roughly \\\[18 LPA\\\], which I think is reasonable for 2.8 YOE in agentic AI/GenAI. Is that too high, or am I in the right range?

\*\*What I'm looking for:\*\*
Agentic AI / GenAI engineer roles (product companies, startups, or strong AI teams)
Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, or remote
Hands-on building over pure consulting

\*\*Where I am:\*\* I'm currently preparing DSA (LeetCode) for interviews. Any advice on what to prioritize for AI engineer interviews, beyond DSA, would help.

\*\*What I'd appreciate:\*\*
Referrals or openings at your company
A reality check on the salary range
Tips on interview rounds for agentic AI roles (system design, LLM concepts, etc.)
Happy to share my resume over DM. Thanks in advance!

2026 B.Tech Graduate, Still Unplaced — Should I Take a BPO Job Temporarily?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 2026 B.Tech graduate in \*\*CSE\*\* from kolkata

I’m currently unplaced and urgently need an income due to my financial situation. I’ve been applying for software developer jobs but haven’t secured an offer yet.

\*\*My background:\*\*

Languages: Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL

Skills: MERN stack and web development

I’m building projects and preparing for software engineering interviews.

I’m considering taking a \*\*BPO job temporarily\*\* to support myself financially while continuing to prepare for software development roles.

\*\*My concerns:\*\*

Will starting my career in BPO make it harder to get a software engineering job later?

Will recruiters reject me for having non-technical work experience?

Can I still apply as a fresher for software developer roles?

Should I take a BPO job while preparing for coding interviews, or focus entirely on finding an IT job?

I don’t want to give up on software engineering, but I urgently need to start earning.

\*\*I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have faced a similar situation or transitioned from BPO to IT.\*\*

Thanks!

Four months into this team at Amazon and wondering again transfer is worth it

Disclaimer: Used AI to write the final version.

I joined about four months ago. Someone mentions AI and a normal-sized piece of work is suddenly due Friday. I asked friends at other companies.

I have changed teams a lot. The move feels like relief until you price it.

This one still gives me the morning. First meeting is usually after noon, so playing tennis happens before the laptop opens. The project also skips the US and Europe sync, which means I can log off on an India evening. I moved back from the US for a day that ends here. An internal transfer might remove one hard stakeholder. It can also take that evening with it. The next team will arrive with its own problems already installed.

There is a chance the thing I am trying to escape sits in the year, and this org is only where I am standing. Leaders who believe the tools made us faster have given themselves less patience. Upwork’s numbers match the feeling: 96% of C-suite leaders expected AI to lift productivity, and 77% of employees said their workload went up. Switching Slack workspaces leaves those numbers where they are.

Staying means practicing the part I keep avoiding. Explain the real size of the work to someone who already thinks they are carrying it. Offer a date that has buffer, even when that date sounds slow to them. A date with no buffer is a future apology.

This might be the season, with our team name on it.

If you have taken an internal transfer at a company because the dates stopped matching the work, did the next team keep a different clock, and what did you give up that never came back?

Fuller writeup of the trade I was making: https://newsletter.mastermentee.com/p/i-almost-left-my-team-at-amazon-just

Brototype’s “2400+ placements @ 5 LPA” flex — but what’s the actual conversion rate?

Just saw this LinkedIn post.

“Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

  1. I said: no teachers, no degrees, high packages. Everyone laughed.

Here’s the proof: 2,400+ placements…

That’s not scepticism. That’s cowardice.”

To be clear:

People do get placed from Brototype, and the average for those who get placed is around 5 LPA (they themselves say this). That’s not fake.

The real problem is the number that never gets shown:

Out of how many students who joined, how many actually got placed?

From what students and ex-students have shared:

High percentage drop out or get terminated because of strict weekly reviews

Many take 10–13+ months (or more)

The “98% placement” claim is only for those who complete the full program, not for everyone who pays and joins

Total enrolled over the years is significantly higher than the 2400 placed number.

I’m an ex-student. Nobody has published enrollment numbers, so this is only my estimate. Based on what I’ve seen, there are around 300+ batches of about 50 students each in remote batch. Taking same average on Kochi, Calicut, Bengaluru and Trivandrum hubs(assuming each hub has similar volume, which I can’t verify), it puts total enrollment somewhere around 70,000 + students, though I could be off. If so, 2,400 placements is a small share of the people who joined.

So the marketing keeps pushing absolute numbers (“2400+ placements”) and calls anyone asking questions “cowards”, while staying silent on the actual success rate for the average joiner.

That’s the brute-force marketing part.

Anyone who went through Brocamp (or knows people who did) — what’s the real picture on how many from a typical batch actually get placed vs how many drop/terminate?

What to do? What will happen

Hello guys,

I need some advice regarding project allocation in TCS as I am a fresher and a little confused about my current situation.

Initially, I received a call asking whether I was interested in a Support and Management role. At that time, I said no because I was unsure whether the role would be suitable for me. After that, I received another call regarding a Project Production Support Engineer role.

Now, I am not sure what will happen next, whether I will be allocated to this project, and whether declining the first role will have any impact on my career or employment in TCS.

I would really appreciate your guidance on the following questions:

  1. About the role: What exactly does a Production Support Engineer do daily? Does the job mainly involve monitoring applications, resolving incidents, handling tickets, troubleshooting issues, or coding and development?
  2. Work pressure: Since I am a fresher, will I face a lot of work pressure? Does production support involve urgent issues, strict deadlines, or pressure from clients and managers when something goes wrong?
  3. Shifts and working hours: Are night shifts, rotational shifts, weekend work, or on-call duties common in production support projects?
  4. Training and support: Will I receive proper training before starting the work? Will senior team members guide me, or will I be expected to handle issues independently from the beginning?
  5. Termination or employment concerns: Since I initially declined the Support and Management role, is there any possibility that this could affect my employment or lead to termination? Can refusing a particular role or project allocation create problems for a fresher in TCS? I am worried about whether I have made a mistake by saying no to the first opportunity.
  6. What should I do now? Should I accept the Production Support Engineer opportunity if it is offered to me? Should I contact my RMG or HR team to clarify my allocation status, or should I wait for their next communication? I do not want to make any wrong decisions that could affect my career.
  7. Career growth: Is Production Support a good starting point for a fresher? Will I be able to develop my technical skills and move into development or other technical roles in the future?
  8. Finding other project opportunities: Is there any way to check available project vacancies internally in TCS, identify the respective project managers, and approach them directly for opportunities that match my skills and interests?

I am willing to learn, work hard, and adapt to a new role. My main concern is understanding the responsibilities, work pressure, and long-term career prospects before making a decision. I also want to make sure that my current situation does not put my job at risk.

Those who are working in TCS, especially freshers who have faced a similar situation, please share your honest experiences and suggestions. What would you recommend I do next? Should I go ahead with Production Support, or should I explore other project opportunities?

Thank you in advance for your help and guidance!

Alternative Career Options After B.Tech CSE - Government IT Jobs, Exams and Other Opportunities in India

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2024 B.Tech CSE graduate from a Tier-3 college with around 2 years of experience in backend-focused full-stack development. I was recently laid off, and I've been actively searching for a job for around 1.5 months. I've applied to hundreds of openings, sent cold emails, and reached out to many people on LinkedIn, but I still haven't received any interview calls.

Honestly, I'm starting to worry about my career. If this continues for another few months, the employment gap will increase, and I'm concerned it may become even harder to get a job.

Because of this, I'm considering exploring alternative career options, especially government IT jobs and competitive exams that could offer a stable career and a decent salary of around ₹7–8 LPA or more.

For example, I've heard of IBPS SO (IT Officer) and SBI Specialist Officer recruitment, but I don't know what other similar opportunities are available for a B.Tech CSE graduate.

Could you please suggest:

  • Government IT jobs and exams suitable for B.Tech CSE graduates, such as IBPS SO, SBI SO, NIC, PSU recruitment, Scientist/Technical Officer roles, etc.
  • Other similar career options that offer a salary of around ₹7–8 LPA or more.
  • The eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and approximate salary for these roles.
  • Official websites where I can regularly check vacancies and apply.
  • Any other career paths I might be overlooking that are worth considering.

If you've prepared for these exams, secured such a job, or know someone who has, please share your experience and recommendations.

I'm looking for specific job titles, exam names, and official websites, rather than general advice. Any guidance would be really helpful as I try to figure out the best direction for my career.

Thank you!

[Seeking Referral] 2026 B.Tech IT grad , looking for product roles

Hi
I'm from Mumbai and I graduated this year, and there's been a lot of pressure to get a job ASAP because otherwise my parents want me to pursue an M.Tech, which I really don't want to do right now. I want to work, gain experience, and become financially independent.

I did a 2-month internship last year, but finding a job has still been a struggle. I'm primarily looking for entry level product management/product-related roles, followed by business analyst roles. I'm not particularly interested in coding, and with everything going on, I honestly don't have the energy to start grinding LeetCode from scratch either.

It's just been exhausting trying to figure things out while dealing with all this pressure.

I know entry level product is difficult but if anyone knows of any relevant openings/leads or could help with a referral, I'd genuinely rlly appreciate it.
Thank you so much

Preferences: Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Remote (5 days a week)
^ These are just preferences, I'm willing to adjust if needed.

Forward Deployed Engineer Job Interview Preparation

Flair: Interview Prep

Hello,

I am currently working as an Associate at Goldman Sachs, engineering role close to a data-engineering one.

I have always wanted to move a bit towards sale and customer side and the new fde role with a decent number of openings across startups, mid and big tier companies really interests me. I am looking for a few fellas with similar interest who would want to hop on this fde role preparation, my timeline is to prepare and learn (doing a few side projects, learning evals, ai stuff, basic leetcode) for the next 6 months and then start applying and interviewing.

If any of you folks are interested, please dm me. Thank you!

Need Serious Advice about my future

so I am 3rd year btech student from a tier 3 college (placement happens but mainly mass recruiters) now my technical skills are shit like absolutely doomed but I am currently working a video editing internship which might convert into PPO next month and it would pay me same as the mass hiring technical job(probably more than that) but it is a remote job.

Now I am confused what to do, so i have thought about three options:

  1. Convert onsite to the editing job which would increase my pay but it would be in Bengaluru, so I will have nothing left in my hand all will go in my expenses.
  2. keep the remote job and prep for gate on the side and then restart tech journey in mtech.
  3. Leave editing job and focus fully on tech placement.

Now please help me with this as I am really stuck and dont know what to do.
also my family aren't that well off so I have to support them in next 5 years with some money

Help me out to choose the role between these options

So, I'm in my final year and during placement season I got two roles, one from CTS for genC next in python domain(results yet to be announced, I've done the 6.75L interview well, and got shortlisted for 4L already) and another one in a startup based on Bangalore, which does B2B marketing and my role there will be non tech majorly for 6L and it is remote too after the intern period, also it is performance based conversion. Both companies haven't rolled out their offer letters yet. I'm planning to pursue an MBA after gaining 1-2 years of experience in IIMs, so help me choose out of these two options. My mind is oscillating between the two roles, because I dunno if the startup will provide payslip itself, because it is still bootstrapped and in early stage only, but in CTS the benching time can be higher and the actual work experience could also be very less. So yeah experienced folks please help me out.

Thanks in advance

NEED HELP PLEASE , LIFE ADVICE NEEDED

so basically im in my 3rd year of clg, bsc cs hons

in 1st and 2nd year of clg, i thought i would build something of my own out of the box, bcoz i thought my loved ones deserve a better life, so i want down the hole of online biz, but i failed to do that and now its final year and i havent done any coding or upskilling and i feel completely lost

i dont have any particular interest at all and i have been overthinking a lot

i cant sleep past 2-3 am, and its always hurting in my brain, always panicking and all

i havent even done coding to the point where i can even tell whether i like it or not, i have just crammed my way to exams and practicals and done good there

some of my known SDE are recommending me to go for MCA, be it tier-1 or private so i can be atleast eligible for the job market by having a tech degree, and then prepare 2 years there for the job market

i know a cousin of mine who's into networking domain and he suggests me to just learn linux & networking protocols & he'd help me in getting internship & all

i recently also go to know about cloud & devops, its so overwhelming but also DSA is not needed in it so i thought what if i went for MCA and tried coding there and couldnt do it then where will i go like should i just start with devops now so i can also be eligible for the networking side bcoz of linux and networking protocols ?

i dont know what to do where to go, seeing the current tech job market, i think its already over for someone who's thinking to start now , im so underconfident that i dont think i can go for govt exams or any other competitve exams, im scared, i think i will just get stuck there for years in preparation

i feel so sorry for my mumma, she's the most innocent soul i have seen in my life, i got into online biz world for her, thinking i would make her life better, now i cant even provide for her, it sucks so much, i let her down so bad

i love you mummy, always

I built a tool that rewrites your resume for a JD from your own facts and shows why each line changed. 2 free. Looking for feedback

I'm Sid, I build ASAI (asaitech.in). This is my own product, so read it with that in mind.

Some context first. LinkedIn's India research in February said more than half of recruiters who find hiring harder blame a surge of AI-generated applications. Polished resumes that don't match what the person has actually done.

So I built tailoring around one rule. It can only use what is already in your resume. It moves lines up, rewords them closer to the JD, or leaves them off. It does not add a skill you don't have.

On one JD you get:

- A card for every change, with the reason and which job on your resume the line came from

- Accept or reject on each card, and you can edit any line yourself

- A list of what it left alone and why

- PDF and Word download

There is a public sample with every card and the PDF, link in the comments. The candidate and resume in the sample were written by us for a made-up job. The changes and reasons are the tool's real output, unedited. In that sample the JD asks for Kafka and gRPC and the tool did not add them, because the profile doesn't show them.

What it gets wrong right now:

- It ties each bullet to one skill in the JD. If your proof is a number and not a skill name (say "40k events/sec" for "high throughput pipelines"), it can leave a weak line as it is.

- Our skill extraction on job listings misses some one-word skills like Kafka and Go, so the fit score can undercount them.

- One template. Single column, no tables. It will not keep your original design.

What I want to know:

- Would you trust a rewrite more if it showed which line it came from, or does that not matter to you?

- What would make you reject a change straight away?

- Anything in the sample that reads wrong for an Indian tech resume?
