I can only reliably name two graduates of the National Theatre School in Montréal: Sandra Oh and Stefan-the-Smirking-White-Nationalist ballsack.

So what we should walkaway with is that both sexes should have a voice in many of these issues
2
u/SANcapITY 21h ago
And that was his entire point to begin with. Every time this is posted most of the people can’t grasp the basic argument he was making.
His point is that an argument is either valid or invalid, no matter who makes it.
Men can have valid or invalid arguments on abortion.
Women can have valid or invalid arguments on the draft and war.

u/NErDysprosium 1d ago
What I'm hearing is that true equality is that women can be drafted and men can get pregnant, both of which are positions I support
5
u/Reasonable-Dream-660 1d ago
he's 60 and can't be drafted either, maybe he should take his own advice
2
u/lrrssssss 1d ago
No but isn’t the response just the official stance of the pro-choice folks to begin with?
5
u/MenaceMinded 1d ago
Some men can get pregnant.
Nobody should be drafted.
I am glad we cleared that up
4
u/im_not_from_wyoming 1d ago
Both arguments don't make sense. You can say your opinion about something even if you are not directly affected by that thing.

u/healthyhornetsnest 1d ago
Everybody sit down, it's actually beneficial for the discussion.
(This is not intended as some sort of relatavisation of these 2 opinions at all, but I think the point stands by itself(sit down))
1
u/EmotionalLet7348 1d ago
he's also canadian, where they haven't had a draft since ww2. so he should probably just stay seated for all of it
1
u/Amazing-Schedule-972 1d ago
never thought i'd agree with a molyneux take but "sit down" is always good advice for him specifically
1
u/BloodThirstyLycan 1d ago
By that logic then anyone who is older than the draft allows needs to stfu too...
1
1
u/Funny-Situation-9982 1d ago
stefan molyneux is 60 and also can't be drafted, maybe he should take his own advice and sit this one out.

At the moment, the guy with the biggest say on whether America goes to war, is a draft dodger with bone spurs.
1
u/Gharosss 16h ago
How about we defend peace and bodily autonomy irrespective of our genders? My god, I hate this gender war bs appearing everywhere.
1
u/Confident_Holiday_12 13h ago
the absolute gall to demand everyone sit down when he's sitting comfortably in two countries that haven't had a draft in his entire lifetime

u/Efficient-Hope-5071 13h ago
How many of the women currently fighting in Ukraine does he think were drafted vs volunteered?
1
1
u/Any-Historian3813 4h ago
I agree. I’m also a man. What concerns me is that the Government has told women what they cannot do with their own bodies.

u/GarageIndependent114 3h ago
Pregnant Intersex Man distraught over losing wife to the draft, more at 10
0
u/BKrustev 1d ago
And yet many Ukrainian women fight and die.om the battlefield for their country - as volunteers. So shut the fuck up.
5
u/ProgramMyAss 1d ago
I’m all for shitting on this argument in the west, but Ukraine is the absolute worst example of this - the women can freely leave as refugees to other European countries while Ukrainian men are literally being rounded up to join the army, and it’s illegal for them to leave
4
u/Make-TFT-Fun-Again 1d ago
True and women make up a tiny fraction of combat roles. If frontline roles in the army were a c-suite, feminists would be complaining non-stop about this male-dominated old boys’ network.
0
u/BKrustev 18h ago
The same would happen in pretty much any nation around. During war men are obligated to fight, women aren't. Many women in Ukraine still volunteer, both in support roles and front line ones.
1
u/Huntsman077 7h ago
I mean how did you miss the point so bad? Yeah they VOLUNTEER, the men don’t have that choice and are forced to fight.

u/eepy_lina 1d ago
and yet another one
cis people, you cant get gender dysphoria, sit down when trans rights are discussed
1
u/time2partee 1d ago
Stephan Molyneux.
You’re 60 and not eligible to be drafted.
Sit down when war is discussed.

Men can get pregnant. Please stop posting transphobia to prove a point.
5
u/Alexspacito 1d ago
How can a man get pregnant?
1
u/eepy_lina 1d ago
trans men?
-1
u/Alexspacito 1d ago
I don’t think its transphobic to say men can’t get pregnant. Trans men are not the same as the average man.
If a woman had fertility issues and couldn’t get pregnant, would it be offensive to her to say that woman CAN get pregnant? No, she just has extenuating circumstances.
1
u/eepy_lina 20h ago
by your logic it's fully correct to say humans cant do engineering, cause not many ppl do it, despite the fact that that sentence completely ignores the less common types who can indeed do that
1
u/Alexspacito 13h ago
That’s entirely different. You’re talking about a skillset, I’m talking about a biological capability. A woman has the ability to get pregnant just by being born and growing up. To become an engineer, someone has to study engineering.
Its not that humans can’t do engineering just because some don’t, its that they didn’t learn how. But we’ve seen millions of engineers, so we know humans can become engineers.
1
u/eepy_lina 13h ago
and? when was that ever relevant? whats relevant is if some of a group can do it, it's objectively wrong to say "this group cant do that", regardless of what it is.
1
u/Alexspacito 12h ago
If one human can hold their breath underwater for 30 minutes, no one is going to now say “Humans hold their breath for 30 minutes” because that’s not normal, its an exceptional human that did that. Its also not incorrect to say to a human “You can’t hold your breath for 30 minutes” because there’s only 1 human that’s ever done that (I don’t know the actual statistics, its just an example).
So telling men “You can’t get pregnant” is gonna be true for 99.9% of cases. Its not wrong to say that. If a man goes to a doctor and has morning sickness, the doctor is not gonna check to see if they’re pregnant.
1
u/eepy_lina 12h ago
there's a difference between "you cant do x" and "group cant do x", because the former is a statement for one person based on likelihood, the latter is a generalization that calls it fully impossible for anyone in that group to do x.
"(all) men can't get pregnant" is a wrong sentence because of this, because it implies it's impossible for all men to do, yet trans men are men who can get pregnant, meaning the statement "men can't get pregnant" is false.
1
u/Alexspacito 12h ago
Read the statement again. It says “Men, you can’t get pregnant”. Its talking to individuals and for the vast majority of cases, it would be true. Its not like a biological man is ever gonna disagree with this statement, its only disagreed with by someone who was born a woman.
Overall I just fundamentally disagree with the idea that men can get pregnant in general, but that’s a whole other discussion I don’t want to have.
-2
u/Make-TFT-Fun-Again 1d ago
It kind of reinforces her failure as a woman to say that to her though.
1
u/Alexspacito 1d ago
Okay sure, but if someone just says that as a statement, like this person did in the post, its not directed at the woman that can’t get pregnant. So she should not get offended by that.
-3
u/Schlieren1 1d ago
Of course men can get pregnant. But women can’t be drafted.

-4
u/OrdinaryNo2959 1d ago
Please stop marginalizing male passing trans women. They can absolutely be drafted.
-2
u/Consistent_Case_5048 1d ago
When was the last man drafted in the US. What a stupid argument.
6
u/JurassicParkCSR 1d ago
The last men who were drafted had to report for duty in like 1973 I think it was.
3
u/Schlieren1 1d ago
Men are required to register for the selective service
5
u/JurassicParkCSR 1d ago
And? The draft hasn't been used since 1973. And we have to sign up for the draft now. Both things are true not sure what you're trying to say. My point was that America hasn't used the draft since 1973 and more than likely will never use it again. And if they did it would collapse because so many people would be dodging it it wouldn't make sense to do it. And then just like in Vietnam they would pardon everyone who didn't show up.
3
u/Schlieren1 1d ago
But men can be drafted. Women can’t be drafted. Does that make sense?
1
u/Consistent_Case_5048 1d ago
We understand your point. It's just dumb.
3
u/Schlieren1 1d ago
I was just responding to the OP statement “Ladies you can’t be drafted”. You got this
0
u/yupitisme_CO 1d ago
The difference here is that women CAN be in the military.
2
u/Huntsman077 7h ago
And men can get pregnant. Unless you’re intentionally excluding trans people.
0
u/yupitisme_CO 6h ago
I mean the ovaries, uterus, and fallopian tubes. Technically men can get pregnant.
1
3
u/Gwan53 1d ago
And men can be financially responsible for a pregnancy.
4
u/hectorgarabit 23h ago
Women chose to be in the military. As far as I know there is no women draft anywhere. Men will have to pay child support in most if not all the western countries. If the women poked the condom, lied about contraception... the man has to pay whether he likes it or not.
-1
u/yupitisme_CO 6h ago
There’s plenty of men that literally pay nothing and ghost responsibility. Happens every day.
2
u/hectorgarabit 6h ago
Not paying child support will send you in jail in the US. A women can decide to not join the military, the vast majority do, Ebe==ven when they join the military is is extremely rarely in combatant position. If a woman decide to lie about contraception, get pregnant, the man has the choice n=between paying for 18/ years or go to jail.
-1
u/yupitisme_CO 6h ago
There’s a lot of women who don’t choose pregnancy. There’s plenty of men who literally shirk responsibility and pay the mom nothing. We could just draft both sexes equally and not try to control other people’s bodies.
2
u/hectorgarabit 6h ago
And women should stop trying to control men's wallet through child support. A man should have the right to force an abortion or not pay child support.
1
u/yupitisme_CO 6h ago
They can be when they decide to be. The problem is there’s plenty of men who don’t.
-7
u/Parker1055 1d ago
So now men can’t get pregnant? They need to pick a side

No one ever said men could get pregnant. Just another republican fantasy. They're the only ones that constantly bring it up.
2
-2
u/MisterRobertParr 1d ago
Actually, it's the Democrats who say men can get pregnant.
2
1
u/freedfg 1d ago
No Democrat says this
0
u/pan-re 1d ago
I mean, no, but kinda. This person is being weird on purpose. Trans men can get pregnant. That’s what they mean. It upsets the cis men who don’t bother to understand science or biology vs societal norms that are irrelevant.
2
u/freedfg 1d ago
It's on purpose of course.
Trans men can get pregnant. Seeing as biologically they are female.
But Republicans pretend that Democrats are dilluded idiots who don't understand biology and think that trans men are biologically men. While in reality, Republicans are just hateful pricks that are jealous trans women won't fuck them.

I didn't know who this guy was, so I'll just paste the first paragraph from Wikipedia in here - in case someone else also doesn't know.
Stefan Basil Molyneux (/stəˈfæn ˈmɒlɪnjuː/; born September 24, 1966) is an Irish-born Canadian white nationalist\1])\2])\3])\4])\5]) vlogger and proponent of conspiracy theories, white supremacy,\6])\7]) scientific racism, and the men's rights movement.\14]) He is the founder of the Freedomain Radio website.\15]) Multiple sources describe the Freedomain internet community as a cult, referring to the indoctrination techniques Molyneux has used as its leader.\16])\17])\18])\19])
OP, I don't think anybody here needs a reminder that pieces of shit like this still exist.
0
u/SocialMediaDystopian 21h ago
No. But our sons can be. And our friends’ sons. All the sons- whether we birthed them, or not. I’m reminded of Kathe Kollwitz drawing of a mother shielding her sons. It’s called “The Seed For The Corn Shall Not Be Ground Up”.
You wanna take our sons and sacrifice them to some insane and unhinged cause? COME AT US, and then see how little you think of women at war.
1
u/GeneralNachosXD2121 4h ago
Lol men can't get pregnant! What!?!? No way?!?! The LGTBQ has been slamming the quote that, "Men can get pregnant, and anyone who says otherwise is a fascist Nazi" for like 5 years lol
-3
u/hhfugrr3 1d ago
Look this has been reposted about a billion times and there is still no clever comeback. It's just two people saying equally stupid things.
4
u/BKrustev 1d ago
Nope. The first comment is stupid, the second is illustratinf the stupidity of the first with an equally illogical supposition.
1
u/hhfugrr3 1d ago
The second comment is something that is frequently said in all seriousness by people who mean it. I don't doubt for a second that the person saying it knows that and is just as caught up in the gender wars as molyneux.
14
u/JurassicParkCSR 1d ago
Okay so I see this all the time and I decided to look it up this guy was born in Ireland where they've never used the draft. And then he was raised in Canada where they've only used the draft twice in their history and that was World War I and World War II. America hasn't used the draft since 1973. This man is well past the age of where he could be drafted anyway. So shouldn't he sit down and shut up about war? He can't be drafted.
