So this is such a long shot but I know a lot of guilds have fallen apart and are trying to replace. Are there any guilds (horde/nightslayer) out there that need a mage (almost bis, never got my feet in ph. 2) that are full clearing BT/Hyjal that raid weekly and have a spot open? I’m also watching videos on Z’a and am down for that, as well. I spent so many hours on this toon and have no alts, I really really want to finish out TBC. Let me know. How should I gear considering a boomkin using the debuff?

I recently started playing on Spineshatter and I was wondering how things are for each faction in terms of population. Are both active? I understand that WoW Forever is around the corner, I have no interest in that version, I'm just focused on TBC.

From what I understand the Alliance has less people but does that mean that they are less active or even much less open to engage in pvp?

I made a character of every class Blood Elves and Draenei can be because I have accepted that this and Era are my Forever lol

Never played tbc. Retail is still funish but after playing forever beta, nothing beats classic style PvP.

With wow forever coming out in two weeks a little Nervous if I’d be throwing the $40 in the trash and the population dies even more especially on the PvP side of things.

WoW forever isn’t going to have arena, at least for a long while so maybe TBC will hold a player base because of that?

I’m on my 3rd guild that has imploded since beta released, and am looking for a consistent weekday raid group.

tldr: addon that turns TMB, Gargul, and RCLC data into clean data visualizations and dashboards directly in-game. Great for tracking loot distribution, spotting gaps, and making sense of months of raid loot at a glance. Take a look at the clip/screenshots to see if you'd get any use out of this. That's kinda it. I plan on supporting this throughout forever, but will release updates for classic versions of the game as well. For a future update I'd like to add support for tmb attendance data and have a bunch of reports centered around attendance, so if anyone has any attendance data they'd like to share for testing please lmk!

P.S. for anyone that's curious, I had originally developed this to work with data from the biscouncil web app, which was a free loot management tool focused on layering analytics on top of raw loot data, but with the whole loot obfuscation thing in forever the web app won't be supporting forever. But I've gone ahead and made the addon compatible with TMB, Gargul, and RCLC data. The style/aesthetic of the addon follows the vis id of the web app. Almost all the assets you see are vectorized renderings of icons sourced from wow or fontawesome. Those renderings were done in photoshop. Also baba smalls is modeled after my cat.

I cannot believe I genuinely Just saw 2 Hackers in Tbc for the first time. Straight speed hacking gliding across the ground ignoring slows and everything. A pair of Druids just acting like absolute nobodies ganking people.

Im genuinely just soured right now for the pure amount of sweat you have to put on to pull that out to "Have Fun" while playing an MMO in 2026. I love a good fight but thats just, Wow.

I used TullaRange for a while, but wanted to improve some aspects, so I made my own addon and wanted it to share in case someone else found it helpful.

I've starter farming them for the first time in my life and just crossed 100 runs. Haven't seen any epic drop be it Baron's mount, sword or boe. I know it has horrible droprate but I think I'll continue for now. Anyways how long did it take you guys before you got them or quit?

The rings/sword/helm are item level 141. Similar to the Fire Festival, the Candy Bucket provides minor buffs that stack up to 4 times and can be used in addition to your regular food buff. Only lasts 24 hours though, so make sure you get them the day of your raid and not in advance.

I finally managed to find a guild! And with them, I was able to complete BT and Hyjal. Right now, I’m having more fun than at any point since I started playing TBC. The community I’ve found is incredibly friendly.

Now you can actually make gold through professions, and you can farm in pretty much any spot you like.

I know there are plenty of people who claim the game is "dead," but I think they’re just doomsayers, the type of people who embody that "STOP HAVING FUN!" meme. Honestly, I think the current player base is in a great spot, whether it’s for running daily heroics or quests, jumping into BGs (which don’t take long to queue for), or just chilling while farming. As for Arenas, the wait times are a bit longer, but that doesn’t really bother me.

Ultimately, this is an appreciation post for everyone who’s still playing, regardless of what those "doomsayers" say (I’m not even sure why they say it—maybe they just want more people playing Forever? Who knows).

No hate toward the Forever crowd, either, everyone should play whatever they enjoy most. For me, right now, it's TBC, alongside other players who are also taking their time to progress their characters (progression is, after all, my favorite part of an MMORPG).

I played a skirm just now and noticed dampening applied at ~5 mins at 4%. When game ended at 7 mins it was at 17%. This is new right? It used to be that dampening started at 20 minutes.

By now most people have done their raids for this reset. That means there is two more weeks/raid resets until TBC is officially dead due to WoW:F release.

What's yall plan? You guys just sticking to TBC or playing both? If so how are you coordinating that?

Assuming your guilds/regular pugs disband will you guys put in the effort to try to join another guild/pug on TBC?

I just right now found out that when Lurker does his Whirl, ranged & healers can avoid being knocked back by standing on the very edge of the platform. This isn't in the WH guide and not in any of the video guides on YT either. I even read the WH guide's section for tips to ranged players, nothing there.

Like, yes, in the guide it says "Whirl will knock back melee players", but this is IMO very bad wording, as it will knock you back even if you're at range and not able to auto attack the boss, just not far enough. In my guild, no ranged or healers knew that you could avoid Whirl, and only after I joined a random pug on my alt, I saw ONE healer (just one guy) not being hit by it, and I wondered: how did he do that? Did it get resisted? Then I realized he was just standing on the edge. Please, before you comment "rofl how bad must your guild be, l2read properly" - we clear BT with no issues, and it took me months of clearing SSC every single week, some of them on two characters, and I only just now saw ONE person who knew about this. So the guides clearly are too vague for the average player. I need better guides, are they available anywhere?

I'm doing a fresh character for TBC, I still don't know if I will go mage or warlock... or maybe a paladin. I can level any other role if needed.

I'm just wondering if there are still any Alliance guilds recruiting in TBC Classic, population took a heavy it for sure since Forever is in Beta and also close to release, but I want to play TBC and hopefully WotLK if they take us there.

I'm just looking for a chill guild, friendly, that does dungeon runs, raids and that's interested in staying TBC, I there isn't Alliance guilds like this then I don't mind going full on Horde mode 😄
