Wtf, is that true? How the hell the classic game had a whole world in 2004 and now in 2026 we can't? What an absurdity, it ruins totally the inmersion.

FF14 is similar in this, and I hated it so much.

It's because 2004 had realms. Dead realms. And friends that couldn't play together because they started on different realms. But realms solve the sharding problem. Shards solve the dead realm problem.

Give free realm transfers like other games. If the server population is too high, you can't transfer there. If the ratio between factions is too far off, you can't transfer there.

They’re already copying osrs, should’ve just copied world hopping too.
