Forever The Human Kingdoms aesthetic in Forever

In Classic WoW all if the existing human kingdoms guard almost share the same look, they share the same Warcraft 3 Footman armor.

However in different games and expansions the some of the kingdoms have different aesthetic like what we saw in Cata Gilneas and BFA Kul'tiras or the humans of Stormwind who have very different style of armor.

Unlike the original devs, the forever dev have the time to slowly expand the world and make it feel rich, each region can look different and unique from the others as they can exapnd the humans of the eastern kingdoms identity.

Best example is what the Warcraft 3 Chronicles of the Second War costume campaign developers did with the humans kingdoms in their campaign.

Do you like to see something like this in Forever or you want things to stay simpler?

There is something appealing going from nomad clothes > stormwind guard > rank 13 set

if they do it for all the races, like multiple trolls and tauren tribes

Yes, imagine if they expand Thrall horde and showcase all the orcish clans and their chieftains, each clan could have unique aesthetics and style that make them stand out from the others.

Same for every other race like Grim totem clan is different from the Bloodhoof clan.

Troll for horde there is only Darkspearw however strangle thorn vale have many jungle trolls enemies clan and they can also look different maybe? But yes, overall there is so much world building that can be done in forever if the Devs choose to expand the world in more grounded ways.

i totally agree! it sounds awesome! multiple cities for the same race makes so much more sense than different “races” looking at high mountain tauren here.

we have different towns and cities why wouldn’t they have different cultures and clothes.

The only kingdom that get something similar to this was Stormwind with the dark watch in Duskwood I guess?

But I think Stormwind is the only kingdom that was mostly done right with different zones and cities, at least now they have more space for Gilneas and Kul'Tiras, but sadly I don't think the other kingdoms in the north of EK can expand as much.

In defense of HM Tauren, its specifically a blessing on that clan from cenarius similar to how Maghar Orcs are "different" to standard orcs

The purple ones look way stronger

Well, they're Kirin Tor, so they're probably way more magically inclined. That's also why their archer is an elf, despite all the other nations having a human archer.

What is Glineas’ symbol supposed to be? Never understood it

•

u/Randvek 2h ago

It's supposed to be wolf claws being deflected by a shield. I agree that it missed the mark a bit.

Why does Warcraft 3 have way better HD models than WoW bro

Because blizzard won't change the fucking way they rig gear. It's been an issue forever and it's why most things look flat or "stick" to the body.

It's infuriating at how good things, could look.

Because those are models from Reforged, not the original WC3. You know, the one that everyone hated how it looked because it changed the art style too much, and now blizzard is adding an entirely new 3rd art style to the game to make up for it

The 3rd artstyle does adhere to the original artstyle much better.

Yeah, it looks great

Well the wow ones were released in 2014 and the wc3 ones were in 2020

All I'm getting from this is that Warcraft 3 Chronicles of the Second War thinks Stormwind was some backwards kingdom compared to the others.

It is the youngest kingdom and furthest from the rest

I would like them to give the Kul Tiran armor from BFA, rather than the regular one in green.

The Gilneas symbol from Warcraft 2 was so much better

They need to change their tabard technology so we can have a real Lordaeron tabard

Someone remind me of what the orange colores nation is supposed to be? Alterac? Does that faction even HAVE any guards in game, let alone exist?

Beautifull

This reminds me of the different Knight sets from Elden Ring

Stormwind has a case of severe wealth inequality I see.

This iteration will not have legs it they dont realise who the paying audience is and what we want. It will fail. It will be seasonal. Rise up boys.

Yes and no. The picture shown above is mock up. In game only stormwind, stromgarde, kul tiras, theramore, and lordaeron share the same basic armor model. Which I think fits for classic and forever. Dalaran uses the wrath era plate set and gilneas should have something different when they release.

Kul Tirans in BFA had a particular design
