Forever Beta Feedback Unintended outcomes of the Dungeon XP Nerf

  1. Monster Skip Runs [ More than just end game dungeons ]

  2. Hard Reserving of low level gear [ Not just Cruel Barb ]

  3. Less Tank and Healers leveling [ You see them say it every day on reddit since the nerf ]

  4. Tanks and Healers charging for their services for low level dungeons [ Not just end game ]

  5. Less dungeons begin ran [ Meaning harder to find groups ]

  6. Less social interactions [ Dungeons were the group activity, questing is primarily solo ]

  7. Some dungeons being skipped entirely [ Alliance have no reason to run Shadow Fang Keep since there are no quests and no mob XP ]

There are more issues than just these, I normally just run a dungeon 3-5 times now trying to convince people to do that will be drastically harder.

why would cloth users help me do Scarlett Monetary Armory?

Will people just Skip SM Cath because you have to clear all mobs?

We have never had to ask these questions before and this is why people are so passionate about it, we are supposed to be playing this version Forever.

Just make Boosting a lifetime bannable offense.

Where do people stand on the tank side, would you rather have a tank that doesnt know the dungeon and deoesnt try to skip? Becsuse im 50/50 on rolling a tank but was siding with not because it thought eveyone wants these streamlined runs.

23

u/Abject-Constant784 10h ago

Honestly... If I'm going into a dungeon, I expect one of 2 things.

  1. We kill everything in our way, screw skips, they're for wimps.
  2. We wipe.

There's no in between.

9

u/City_Raine 9h ago

I like you.

3

u/Abject-Constant784 9h ago

So like... Do we get married now? Is that how this works?

•

u/Reasonable_Rub_6061 3h ago

This. This is the way

32

u/Bloodmark3 10h ago

You do what the tank says. If I'm learning a dungeon and want to explore the whole thing, you're all coming with me. If I know the dungeon and want to speed run it, we're doing that.

But if anyone in the group ever asks for anything different, like a specific boss or something they want to do, I'll 100% agree and we can do that.

If anyone ever gets pissy with you just remember, you dont need them. You only need your baby girl, your healer. The dps can find another dungeon.

-5

u/TechnicianMuch9889 9h ago

I'm the healer and if I see a tank doing full clears for no reason I'm out, don't have time for that pack that gives 50 exp total LOL

-1

u/bucketlist_ninja 8h ago

100% agree. As a healer theres no way in doing full runs of dungeons for literally 35xp a mob.

•

u/kerenar 2h ago

And here, we see the mindset of players that dislike the dungeon exp nerfs. Focused 100% on efficiency, nothing else, surprise surprise.

I'm a healer, and have far more fun running a dungeon with a new group/new tank who doesn't know what they're doing, than I do with players with this efficiency mindset. Here's to hoping they keep these dungeon nerfs, so I can find players like you leaving dungeons mid-run in the wild and stick you on my ignore list and avoid you.

-1

u/Drooden 8h ago

I feel the same way. I’m not wasting my time.

-4

u/CompetitiveStaff1196 8h ago

This is as toxic as a DPS chain pulling to make the run go faster.

Humble yourself bro

5

u/Think-Big-7411 8h ago

Actually its not toxic. There are 3 rules to group content that people overlook as dps.

  1. You need the tank much more than the tank needs you.
  2. Dont piss off the healer, 9/10 times the tank and healer know each other.
  3. Sit down, shut up, and do your job. Cause they are doing thiers

•

u/Ayotha 2h ago

Go outside

-3

u/CompetitiveStaff1196 8h ago

"Sit down, shut up, and do your job. Cause they are doing thiers"

Their job is to tank or heal a dungeon, not drag 4 other people along for whatever they want to do. And yeah, the DPS does need the tank more than the tank needs the dps. But if you're going to use that as justification to be an asshole, that still makes you an asshole.

1

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

The guy is presenting the reality of the situation in a manner befitting an asshole, but that sadly doesn't make him wrong. I feel similarly. I like to explore dungeons when I do them the first couple of times, but once I know the route I want to take and where the bosses are, I'm going to streamline the process.

If you pull mobs that will not benefit the party, you're wasting your time an everyone else's, and we all have more valuable things to do than grind elites for penny payouts in exp. Just not worth it.

This is a consequence of Blizzard's decisions. We are just responding in kind to the system we have been given to work with.

•

u/Think-Big-7411 1h ago

Thank you for seeing the validity in my pont. And yes I put it across as an asshole cause honestly it gets the point across in a much quicker more efficiency way.

-1

u/Bluetroll-OldBlanchy 5h ago

Lmao get over yourself kid x'D

-1

u/deathblooms2k4 8h ago

I've had people in retail literally kick me for pulling groups that don't need to be pulled in an untimed run non mythic+ run. Mind you they did this knowing they'd have like a 5+ minute que in trying to find another tank.

-2

u/Tonst3r 6h ago

^ I'd F list this guy immediately after a run.

Although I'll barely touch dungeons pre-60 thx to these oh so amazing xp nerfs...so all the fun interactions and friends that came from those will be cut down to a fraction...

but ya know...it's blizzard so...

9

u/SnooConfections6777 9h ago

You’re thinking about this wrong. You’re the tank lead the filthy dps where to go. If they don’t like it they can leave

4

u/pacivys 9h ago

i'd rather have a tank than not have a tank even if i need to tell the tank every little thing

7

u/SoungaTepes 10h ago

“Do you want a tank that doesn’t know the dungeon”

A lot of people need to still learn dungeons

4

u/Ragefork 10h ago

And best way to learn is to murk every mob in there.

3

u/braendebruger 10h ago

Brother, roll a tank. If you dont know how a dungeon works, just announce it at the start. I did that in tbc, and worked fine. 1% of people crash out over nothing, but don't let that get to you

24

u/MinimumFeedback219 10h ago

I've been playing the beta nonstop and havent had a single dungeon group do this. It is a non-issue.

It's so obvious that people here spend more time thinking about the game than actually playing.

5

u/Stornholio69 6h ago

It's beta. Ofc its less of an issue there

18

u/Mr-B0jangles 9h ago

It’s not an issue in beta cuz it’s locked to level 30 and people will run the dungeons multiple times for gear. Not gonna be the case as much when the game is live. Use some fucking common sense. THE BETA EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MIRROR THE LIVE EXPERIENCE

2

u/CompetitiveStaff1196 8h ago

It being locked to level 30, and a beta, is what makes people MORE likely to skip trash though. Why bother doing any mobs you don't need to if all you care about is the end gear

0

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

They skip trash because they're level cap and get no experiences v.s. they skip trash because they're not level cap but get no experience.

•

u/Bad_Wolf420 3h ago

They skip trash because they don't actually enjoy running dungeons, they just want the loot.

•

u/SneckoWatcher 1h ago

It's so weird seeing people be like, "I'm going to go out of my way to kill every trash mob because I love killing trash that's the whole reason I'm here give me more trash to kill for no reason!"

•

u/Bad_Wolf420 1h ago

So weird that people want to risk a 10+ minute ghost walk and re-setup just to avoid spending less then a minute on a pack of mobs.

3

u/JackBurton52 9h ago

THE BETA EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MIRROR THE LIVE EXPERIENCE

youre 100% right, the beta is a tiny amount of the actual players that will play on launch. most of the people that will play on launch dont give a single shit about this and will just play the game and have fun. i can guarantee you this wont be an issue at all once the game launches with the normal player base and its not only the people that felt the need to pay $60 to test the game

2

u/Mr-B0jangles 8h ago

They will give a shit. It just won’t stop them from playing cuz we are all addicted.

•

u/Pseudo-Historian-Man 2h ago

Naw, can confirm don't actually give a shit.

0

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

You can't make guarantees like that, unfortunately. I wish you could </3

0

u/sollux_ 6h ago

To be fair, if the argument is that these issues exist but new or casual players won’t notice it, that’s still problematic. Like if I can’t smell but my home is filling with methane gas there’s still an issue regardless of my perception of it. Idk that just seems like a weak counterpoint. Not being able to find viable groups for low level content, to me, sounds like a game killer. As it’s been stated dungeons are THE group content of WoW unless there’s other changes with questing I’m unaware of. There needs to be some incentive there to run them and continue running them. If what OP is saying isn’t an issue say that but at least explain your opinions why beyond “well I didn’t have an issue in my experience”

1

u/tangin 8h ago

You’re using your emotions and assumptions to argue with evidence. Not a good approach.

2

u/Mr-B0jangles 7h ago

I got 4 toons to level 20 and 2 toons to level 30 on the beta. I did like all the content there was to do. I've played WoW classic since 2019. I know exactly how this goes my man. I've seen the evidence lol.

•

u/tangin 24m ago

That’s not an argument, my man. That’s still emotion talking. Was a fun chat though!

•

u/Mr-B0jangles 6m ago

Yeah well you’re gay.

Rekt

1

u/TechnicianMuch9889 9h ago

Exactly, it's amazing how people still don't understand this.

6

u/TechnicianMuch9889 9h ago

Your beta experience is irrelevant

2

u/The_Horse_Tornado 6h ago

Same and thank you. I’ve maxed all 3 tank specs and leveled every other DPS spec. Did all the dungeons on each. Never once had this issue.

1

u/PhasedAndUnfazed 7h ago

I've been playing Prot warrior and Disc priest and mostly just do dungeons. Trying to quest with groups is kind of lame since no one really talks. I'd say it happens a good bit, maybe 1/3 runs I'll have at least one guy try to take over and boss us around into skipping everything. 1/5 multiple players will attempt.

1

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

This just in, one man speaks for all people and experiences. More at 11.

1

u/SportBoring3533 6h ago

My deadmines run was us skipping most trash and bugging the patrol goblin boss so he gets solo pulled without the adds.

•

u/Lootcifer_ 4h ago

Game isn't out yet, smart guy.

•

u/Icy_DicymyFriend 3h ago

exactly...lmao...here are all of the unintended consequences we've seen so far on the game that hasnt been released yet....uhm what...

1

u/Yalcookedaf653 7h ago

LOL you mean where the level cap is 30 on a beta when theyre in zero rush to get to max level? Clown response.

1

u/zzrryll 9h ago

Yeah, it’s kind of funny how many people are dooming, over something that’s not gonna matter to 90% of the player base.

1

u/Equivalent_Track5730 9h ago

it's just easy karma on plebbit

1

u/zzrryll 9h ago

True.

0

u/SimonBelmont420 9h ago

yeah people spent more time thinking about playing than actually playing a game that isn't out yet who would have thought

5

u/Manwesulimo85 10h ago

Noone wants those streamlined runs. Reddit is a very low percentage of actual players. Im going to main healer and i will run dungeos several times for loot. If you like tanking then go for it. Tanks and healers make the rules anyway

7

u/ajscherer 8h ago

I’m a healer and I will be doing multiple runs because it’s more fun. I also feel like my gold goes up faster doing dungeon runs than wanding down mobs as a solo priest.

3

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

Your gold will definitely be higher now that you're running each dungeon four times as much

3

u/Aware_Stable 8h ago

Im a healer and i will be charging for my services because dungeons have become a waste of time

1

u/MinimumFeedback219 6h ago

You are not allowed to go more than once. XP is too low and thus there is literally no reason to do it. Gold? Pointless. Upgrades? We will just replace them, who cares? Don't even get me STARTED on fun. Who can even have fun when the purple bar doesn't fill at an arbitrary rate that I deem appropriate. I mean, my time demands respect as I dress up and play with my digital dolls.

2

u/AzuzaBabuza 5h ago

If blizzard nerfed open world quests/mobs by 75% instead of dungeons, and you had to repeat each quest a total of 4 times to get the full reward, would you be cool with that?

Would you tell others to not care about leveling, that they should just have fun, and sarcastically tell them "Who can even have fun when the purple bar doesn't fill at an arbitrary rate that I deem appropriate"

...or would it suddenly not be okay, because it impacts your preferred leveling method?

There's no good reason why dungeons should be this shit. They could give 75% of questing XP, and most people would be happy.

Some act like the game will be ruined unless dungeons are terrible to level in. I can't understand it.

0

u/bucketlist_ninja 8h ago

I did RFK on level and got about 5K XP from all the mobs. That's a shitty mount of XP for the time investment. You do you boo. But im not staying to run dungeons multiple times when 2 ransdom world quests give more xp. Infect considering the state of dungeon XP, im probably not even going to bother leveling as a healer..

7

u/extoxic 10h ago

Nah streamlined runs are for tryhards and edge lords only. Too many of them in the beta and they think everyone needs to sweat with them.

3

u/flowerplz 10h ago

This is exactly what will become the norm tho

8

u/ScottyC33 10h ago

After a month or so lower level dungeons are going to pretty much all be “hey anyone available to run me thru DM quick?” To their guild mates. If there isn’t much kill XP available, no reason to not have a level 60 guildie rush you if you’re one of the tryhard cohort.

1

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

I've considered the outcome. Instead of leveling a tank like I want, I can level a dps and sell dungeon runs, not clears, so people get their loot and move on. They spend less time inside and come out the other end basically the same. I wish I wasn't in a situation to even consider this option

5

u/Audiobro 10h ago

I’ve ran RFC on probably 50 characters over the years and no one full clears the last big room, I think it’s natural to just pick a path that has all the bosses and send it

3

u/MonsiuerGeneral 10h ago

I mean, there’s a bit of a difference between full clearing a dungeon, fighting only mob packs and patrols that are necessary, and actively trying to avoid fighting as many mobs as possible.

2

u/extoxic 9h ago

Thays not a skip, a skip is hugging a wall to skip a pack and hoping for the best when you have 6-8 level range in your group.
Never ends well.

1

u/DarkPrincessEcsy 6h ago

If you could path through lava they wouldn't even fight those lol especially now with the exp changes

0

u/theoriginalkyriell 10h ago

Only if we accept the behavior. Kick a zoomer tank and they eventually learn.

2

u/bickdickanivia 10h ago

You mean the tank that gets a group in 30 seconds? I don’t think that’s going to work very well, especially when the people who want to spend 2+ hours clearing WC are in the giant minority

1

u/HovercraftNo2192 8h ago

Replace “streamlined” with “highly optimised” and you could be speaking about dungeons before the nerf. The key thing I don’t understand, is what problem was solved by the change.

1

u/Gullible_Self_6668 10h ago

It's the retail Randy's. They are annoying as shit, had a dps tell me to pull more (was already pulling 2 groups at a time), to hurry up (was drinking because I"m a pally), and was pulling groups themselves. I just let them die and told the healer not to heal them. It's Retail Randys that make dungeons insufferable

0

u/FizzedInHerHair 9h ago

It’s not even about sweating. It’s just a waste of time. Why do I want to kill these mobs that give me 30xp

•

u/fartvendor69 2h ago

It’s actually pretty sweat, min maxing dungeon skips during a beta. Please be real for one second.

1

u/extoxic 9h ago

And if they were tuned like a 5 man elite that would maybe be the case but they are not, they have a normal elite hp and die faster then a normal mob solo.
And ill keep posting this my completely normal non skip run in Wailing caverns.

The xp is fine you all are either being hyperbolic or just want boosts back.

1

u/ToughShaper 8h ago

If you want to play tank, you should. The vast majority of people are kind and friendly. But you will encounter assholes.

WOWF is not about perfect routes. It’s about enjoy the game and l tying it all soak in.

Plus, the only way you’ll ever learn how to tank is by actually tanking.

Yes, tank often leads. Keep an eye on mana for healer and mages and you good to keep pulling for as long as healer at 50%+ (especially at higher levels). Do your rotation. Hold threat. Use your cooldowns.

I’ve binded the ping system to my mouse scroll click so I can easily communicate the directions.

1

u/Fivyrn 7h ago

I had no problems running with a noob tank, just had to help show them where to go.

1

u/PhasedAndUnfazed 7h ago

I usually play tank specs; if a DPS wants to try and power run it, I'll just stand back and let them have a go. You'll still have fun; you get one of those people maybe 1/3 of the time in groups, and it's usually just one person.

1

u/Tonst3r 6h ago

I've never cared if the tank knew the best routes. I'll joke about it on disc w/ other people, but as long as they know how to TANK I'm happy.

You'd be shocked how many tanks in classic eras don't have taunt on a friggin hotkey...I've had to learn other classes taunt cooldowns and mentally track it so I can yell "Taunt plz" in chat.

1

u/Baudrillardist 6h ago

I’ve been tanking since vanilla. I usually still just pull things how it’s intended. I’ll pull in some extra mobs if I see we’re fine on mana/damage, but I’ve never really optimized skipping mobs except in high M+. I prefer the immersion of doing the dungeon normally.

Edit: and like others have said, you’re the tank, you tell team where to go. Just communicate what you’re doing if it’s different from what people expect. I very rarely have issues.

1

u/SportBoring3533 6h ago

I will stay if my tank irl buddy needs an item but with randoms? Yeah i will just leave the group

•

u/jockssocks 4h ago

If U get butthurt about your tank not knowing skips U don't deserve to run the dungeon. Tank it yourself.

•

u/Saengoel 4h ago

beta is full of sweats, live release will be much broader with people exploring and taking it slow

be upfront with killing everything in the path, if they don't like it other groups will gladly accept you as a tank

•

u/aikouka 4h ago

As long as people aren't rude in a dungeon, I don't really care what we do. Keep in mind that if you're using the LFG tool, there is a requirement to select the type of gameplay. I don't know if people really adhere to it or care that much, but I have seen folks select different options. I usually just select casual even though I'd kind of consider myself somewhere between casual and competitive.

•

u/rodrigo8008 3h ago

At least pre end game, no one cares lol. Most of my groups no one says a word most of the run

•

u/kerenar 2h ago

As a healer, I vastly prefer playing with new tanks like you, than tanks who want streamlined runs. I am a 2004 player, I hate the culture that the game has developed. That's why I'm extremely happy with these dungeon exp nerfs. I will be running far more dungeons now than I would have a few weeks ago when doing a dungeon once gave me 1-2 levels.

The first couple weeks of beta after doing 3 dungeons, I had decided not to run ANY dungeons at all on launch, because the exp gain was far too much and it totally broke the flow of leveling. With these changes, I'll actually be able to grind dungeons a little bit without outleveling every single quest I have. Looking forward to seeing you tank out there!

P.S. If you want to try tanking, just go for it! Remember, you are the tank, and you are the boss of the dungeon. If DPS pull mobs because they are in a rush, just tell them you will leave/kick them if they don't stop fucking around. You're the captain of the ship, and it doesn't matter what the dps players want, and the healer can't pull the dungeon without you, so you've got all the power as the tank to take things as slow as you'd like. If they don't like it, they can go back in the LFG tool and wait another 30 minutes for a new tank to carry them.

•

u/BoxOk3746 2h ago

People will just be happy to have a tank for the dungeon. You'll have dps try to pull for you if they think you are too slow. Solve this ny making your own groups and kick them.

•

u/Dahns 1h ago

I don't mind a beginner at all but I will tell you how to do the skip and you better don't fail them, because at 300xp the hour, I'm not spending the night here

1

u/jiff1912 10h ago

I play as a tank. New dungeons not much to be done, gotta figure them out.

Old dungeons, clear em fast and efficient and skip as much as possible. If theres a piece of gear I want, im not inviting anyone with overlapping wants. The goal is to spend as little time as possible getting dungeon quest xp. Then go back to overworld aoe grinding with my healer.

1

u/randomCAguy 10h ago

If you’re the tank, you decide how the run goes. It doesn’t matter what everyone else wants.

1

u/Pepper_Jack_Cheese 10h ago

I’m gonna be tanking majority of my dungeons so maybe my opinion doesn’t matter, but I would say if you’re pulling stuff in the path to the next boss that ~could~ be skipped it’s completely fine. However if you’re pulling every single mob in every nook and cranny that it’s entirely obvious can be skipped I’d probably be a little annoyed (wouldn’t say anything would just be impatiently waiting to leave as soon as the dungeon ends).

1

u/zimreapers 10h ago

As a tank, I ran WC and the group wanted to skip a bunch of packs, of course I said we will probably pull anyway since the healer was lower level, we did, almost wiped. I said that's enough skipping, wiping takes longer than killing the extra packs along the way. I usually just pull everything I want to pull, leave a little trash if it's out of the way, if there's a node/herb/chest I clear to those. New dungeons are gonna be fun to figure out, I plan on going in blind, no researching dungeons and shit. I did that on turtle with the new stuff they put out and had a blast figuring out the fights

1

u/theoriginalkyriell 10h ago

I’d rather have a full clear, takes their time tank 100% of the time. I HATE zergling tanks.

1

u/Aos77s 10h ago

Its such a shortage that they will take a tank over not having one. Blizzard just needs to designate a tank buff for melee classes so queue times go down.

1

u/South-Suspect7008 10h ago

Here is the fun. You are the tank. If you can't do something ot not skilled enough yet, your party will have to adapt. If they won't, there are enough dps in the massive pile.

1

u/Joes_corner 10h ago

Lol hell no people don't want streamlined runs. Maybe when people are trying to get their pre-raid bis.

Even then I hate skips. But with the changes idk how dungeons are gonna look like. I'm saying all this as a thank player and I'm finding my self skipping stuff I never would have before.

There are area's of the dalaran dungeon I would really like to explore, but I can't justify going over to them.....like there is this whole area with angry flying books like would be cool to check the room out.

1

u/NTufnel11 10h ago

skips suck. they're a net loss of time because they are low upside, high downside. maybe you save 2 minutes when it works but then you lose 15 minutes when they don't. And the odds of botching it go up when the player base is new. That leads to people getting upset and everyone having a bad time.

It's a very, very bad incentive to have. Yes, people can all just collectively decide to not care about their xp rate and play normally. But the incentives do influence behavior and create tension that undermines the enjoyment of the run.

1

u/zzrryll 9h ago

I mean, I feel like the current set up will make the reality, that most people don’t know the dungeon well enough to even know what the skis are, the most common outcome.

I get the sentiment. It makes sense in the beta. Because there’s a level cap and a lack of content. But until this game has been out for six months I don’t think most folks will have enough runs per dungeon to know what the skips even are. Unless they’re heavily researching, or did these runs over and over again with alts in the beta.

1

u/Dark_Sign 9h ago

The great thing about tanking is that you get to be in charge. As a tank I always hand pick my groups, so if you recruit folks into your party by telling them you’re learning and are taking it slow you’ll weed out all the folks who don’t want that and end up with a chill group

1

u/Gassenger 9h ago

It depends on who you get. The dungeons I tanked in beta (probably 10 in all), only had one guy that was rushing me (I'm experienced and have a good pace), and wanding mobs to pull them while heals is at 20% mana, like 5 runs where they were mostly newer players/hadn't ran the dungeon yet/ran it when they were 12, and a few unremarkable ones. Dependent upon your pace and how in step you are with the frontrunners or if you're at the tail end is going to dictate your experience slightly I think

1

u/zyygh 9h ago

I'm a healer, and all I care about is a fun and relaxing experience. If the tank rushes too hard I won't be inclined to team up with them again.

1

u/old__pyrex 9h ago

These things change over time, because it’s a social issue that depends on where the player base is. 1 year from now, 2 years, etc, people tend to get way more “gogogo” about it. What most tanks started doing was, whether they were noob or experienced, playing selectively when they needed something or with a group of people they knew and felt comfortable with.

You SHOULD play a tank if you find the role fun. Nothing about WoW is so hard that you won’t become good in time. But as for whether or not the social design of the game will make tanking with randoms a good experience for you… I think that’s not trending well with what I’ve seen of the player base and how blizzards hamfisted changes will exacerbate some of these issues

1

u/NarukeSG 9h ago

As a tank main I'm not gonna go out of my way to try these crazy skips. Each mob could have a chance to drop BOE Blue's and also various greens that you can sell to earn gold to go towards your lvl 40 mount. In 2019 classic I personally funded my first mount by doing SM cath just off the raw gold from drops not doing any gathering profs or anything like that

1

u/bulltank 9h ago

I went tank for first time in classic. Didn't know pulls at all. No one said a word. We had a blast.

1

u/Cool-Pineapple-525 9h ago

I'm in the same boat. Tanked in other games but now wow. Going to roll druid for the guild, but I'm not looking forward to groups rushing me or telling me where to go. I don't care about doing skip runs at all. I just want to go in and do the dungeon as intended.

1

u/TechnicianMuch9889 9h ago

I would rather BE the tank. I loved tanking to 60.

But if dungeons are one-and-done since I (gasp, horror) like EXP too, I'll never bother learning the new dungeons since one run isn't enough for me to learn a dungeon.

So I'd rather find another tank who knows the skip, or I'll muddle though as a tank if I need to.

It’s really hard to fuck up a classic dungeon in comparison to fucking up a mythic plus run.

You know, you say that, but i bet i could find a way. I guess my biggest fear now comes from failing at what people expect, which is dumb really

I clear whatever is in the way and would be inconvenient to butt pull. I'm by no means a skip runner or min max clearer. I think the negativity is vastly overblown on reddit. Most groups will not care how much trash gets cleared as long as you're not going out of the way for extra mobs.

Edit: when I dps I also don't care if we're not going at giga optimal pace as long as it isn't sluggish

People will probably say nice things here. But reality is much more cruel. People will rush you, judge you, sometimes even complain and insult you. Not everyone, obviously, but plenty will in one way or another just leave you with a bad taste in the mouth.

Just say you are new, give asshats the opportunity to leave in the beginning instead of mid-run.

The best option in this game is to join a guild and only run dungeons with them.

I'm a tank and the anti social shit some tanks do such as take unwanted items is fucking embarrassing. Instant ignore from me

I'm an experienced tank, and it doesn't really matter. Everytime I try to do an easy skip, some pug dps always walks into a patrol.

Skips are annoying, just put the pull in the bag
