Anyone stating leveling is boring as fuck should probably stop playing MMORPGs. This is equivalent to someone buying a book that hates reading.

I think leveling is boring af. Gotta push through it to get to the fun stuff at max level.

Sounds to me like you should stick with the FPS genre, not MMORPGs. The entire purpose of any RPG is the carrot on the stick. The leveling. The grinding. The achieving of gear. Not to mention, the "fun stuff" you claim that only exists at the end, exists throughout the game at multiple increments.

Now, if you're a PvPer, then I completely understand your frustration. This is precisely why I think developers should stop adding PvP to RPGs because they are in fact contradictions. An RPG is supposed to be grindy.

Perhaps in the future, game developers can turn PvP servers into something more like an FPS. Players all start at max level, with max gear and just focus on the "good stuff" as you say.

If you're not a PvPer, than I'm not sure MMORPGs are your schtick.

"The grinding" pretty much means doing the same mundane task over and over. Like killing 30 boars. Running to a new zone for 1 hour. You cant tell me people find that fun. "Achieving of gear"? quest rewards are usually worse than dungeon loot. When you level up the gear is and feels worse. Stonger mobs etc. Its all relative.

At max level you feel how much gear matters. Outdoor mobs dont get stronger. You see the dps go up. You can kill bosses because of your groups gear level.

And yet there are reasons to buy books even if you hate reading XD

I'm sure there are, but in the interests of the argument that leveling in WoW Forever sucks, those reasons are not relevant.

If you're not buying books to read them, then it wouldn't matter if it sucks to read them.

Something, anything, can become boring after doing it for 22 years of your life..

It's the equivalent of buying a game and not liking the install process. Wait no it's the equivalent of buying a bike and not liking wheelies. Wait no it's the equivalent of buying pizza and not liking the crust. Wait no it's the equivalent of going on vacation and not liking the flight.

This do all stupid, some people enjoy some parts of the games more than others. Fucking shocker.

Here's your problem. You're under the impression that you HAVE to level to 60 in 2 days. That's not a requirement. You're also not required to do that 10+ times in a row for 3 weeks straight. Playing WoW Forever is not a homework assignment. It's also not a second job. It's a game, meant to be played leisurely for entertainment. If you can't break out of this elitist and competitive mentality, than that's more of a personal problem and not the fault of the game.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if you should be playing MMORPGs, but from my perspective, it seems like you are incapable of playing games for their intended entertainment value and are solely focused on other aspects. Want to be #1? Go for it. Want to enjoy the game? Stop convincing yourself that being #1 matters.

I never said that there is only one way to play WoW. People can play games however they want but what good does it do the FPS genre if I buy Wardogs and then go on reddit and complain there's no farming in it?

WoW is an MMORPG. That category or genre is enough information to understand the purpose or point of the game. It's certainly not a requirement to play a certain way but it's probably something players should acknowledge.

Dude, don't bother. It's not just wow, just look around. The "have to do it fast, have to be efficient" is like a cancer taking over all aspects of modern life. Job, career, relationships, gaming, Lil Timmy playing baseball with his friends, every second of every interaction needs to be optimized or else you're the weird one, not them. People are so focused on being competitive and the best version of themselves, that they're becoming completely disconnected from life or who they are to begin with.
